Sulteron laughed as a small Tailow flew quickly about her, trilling calls of excitement. This Tailow was Mizoro, the one she had caught on Route One. It was still rather wild and disobedient, but was gradually warming up to her. Fairo kept leaping into the air, making her giggle as he attempted to catch her from the air in a playful manner. The Charmander was on good terms with Mizoro, which made a change from her normal 'I hate everyone' attitude. Fairo and Mizoro had both recently learned moves; Overheat and Aerial Ace to be exact, and because of this, they were both very happy.
Sulteron was happy too. Well, why shouldn't she be? Her Pokémon were getting along, she was on her second route, and she was sure to find some sort of Pokémon. True, it was raining. So what? What would a little trickle of rain do? Fairo wasn't enjoying it so much, and the eggs could probably be warmer, but she had wrapped them in her jumper and they seemed fine. The rain grew worse, and Fairo wimpered. As a Fire type, he hated this rain. It had an odd feel to it, as well, as though it wasn't supposed to be here.
The Charmander did not like this rain any more. He wasn't as happy as he was. He couldn't see how Sulteron could donate her own jacket to the eggs, leaving herself shivering in a T-shirt. He nudged her leg, and she nodded, picking him up and, since he himself would not fit under the jacket because of the room the eggs were taking up, tucked the most water-unfriendly part of him in the jacket; his flaming tail. He sighed, relieved. Mizoro flew about Sulteron, fine with the sudden downpour, but not landing on her trainer since she already had a lot of weight in her hands. The Tailow wasn't sure why this rain felt odd, it just did. She tried to see if she could see anyone or anything.

Farther down the path came a soft giggle, along with the sound of splashing. Out here on the exposed plains, puddles abounded. The clouds were rolling menacingly, but the green Teddiursa didn't seem to mind. She jumped from one puddle to the next, laughing as the murky water splashed about her. Hearing footsteps, she turned, one claw going to her mouth. She nibbled on it as she looked at Sulteron and her pokemon, trying to decide how to react to these strange new pokemon.

Fairo looked, wide-eyed, at the new arrival. A Teddiursa, it seemed; but he thought that they were supposed to be brown, not green! He looked to his trainer. ~Sulteron, why is that Teddiursa green and not brown?~ he asked, curiosity sparkling in his eyes. Sulteron smiled. "I'm not sure, but I have a feeling she's a shiny, like you." she said, flipping open the Pokédex she had tucked into her pocket. Sure enough, next to the picture of a Teddiursa was a shiny version identical to the one in front of her now. She grinned.
"She looks curious and playfull, not harmful or anything. I say we should have some fun. Come on!" Sulteron grinned. Mizoro was all in for this; she loved a bit of fun. The Tailow darted to the green bear, flapping her wings for balance as she landed gently next to the oddly coloured Normal type. She extended a wing in friendship. ~Hey there! I'm Mizoro, and my trainer is Sulteron. The Charmander is Fairo. Sulteron's great, 'cos she can understand us. Wanna play?~ she asked excitedly. Sulteron was glad she was starting to behave herself better. Fairo hopped cautiously forward, unsure of whether or not the bear was going to splash the puddle again.

The Teddiursa stared at Mizoro for a moment before grinning widely. ~Hi! I'd love to play.~ she squealed, reaching out to give the Tailow's offered wing a vigorous shake. She turned to face Fairo, still smiling. ~You wanna play too? The water is amazing.~ She said. Apparently oblivious to the fact that he was a fire-type, the Teddiursa slapped her strangely colored paw into the puddle and flicked it toward Fairo. ~I'm having fun out here all by myself. I snuck away from Mama.~ She added in a whisper, winking conspiratorily at Mizoro. ~She's grumpy 'cause she doesn't like the rain, and our next got fluided.~

Fairo leapt back from the water, rushing to the safety of Sulteron as a couple of drops touched his glittering scales. Sulteron smiled apologetically. "Sorry about Fairo, he's a Fire type; not one for water." she grinned, then her grin turned mischevious. She splashed Teddiursa with a large amount of water from on of the brown puddles, Mizoro cawing excitedly as her feathers dampened.
Mizoro looked at Teddiursa. You snuck away? Wow, that's cool! I did that too, but Mama found me and let Sulteron take me with her for 'discipline'.~ she laughed, swooping over a perticulally large muddy puddle so her tail and wingtips skimmed the water, before she swooped back, shaking drips over Teddiursa. ~Do you have any siblings? I have two brothers, and I bet they're real jelous that I get to meet new people in new places like this!~ she asked, happy.

The Teddiursa's giggle at Mizoro's antics was cut off as she mentioned syblings. Her shoulders slumped forward, and she looked at the ground. ~I had a sister, but the Crazy Guys who were chasing the water doggie took her away.~ She sat down in the puddle, clasping her hands together in her lap. Suddenly, she seemed angry. ~It's all that stupid dog's fault. She brought the Crazy Guys here, and she fluided our nest, and I can't sleep at night because all she does is cry.~ The little normal bear was pouting now. She smacked the water again, but this time it was violent rather than playful. ~If I was bigger, I'd chase her right back where she came from.~

To Mizoro and Fairo, these Crazy Guys who chased the water doggie ment nothing. However, for Sulteron, something clicked. The Crazy Guys... they must be Team Chaos. They must be, since she had a feeling this 'water doggie' was a Legendary. One who was like a wolf, and could bring rain and floods. There was one Pokémon who met that match.
Suicune.
Sulteron gasped. "Teddiursa... these Crazy Guys. I've met them before. They're from a really evil organisation intended to destroy Airore or something. They wanted to recruit me, but I said no and made him run away. They're called Team Chaos. They must have taken your sister to their base, wherever that is. And this 'water doggie'... she's called Suicune. She's a legendary Pokémon, and it sounds as though she must be in pain." she explained to them. Fairo was shocked. A Legendary? Woah, that was unexpected. Hehe, take that, Team Chaos! They were gonna help this Legendary rather than harm it, he knew it! ~Sulteron, let's find it! We can help! We have Potions and stuff!~ he grinned.
Sulteron nodded. "Uh-huh. Teddiursa, please lead us to the water doggie. I'll bet she's probably lonely, and hurt too. We can help her recover so she won't bother you any more, then we can, at some point along our journey, find Team Chaos' base and rescue your sister." she smiled, hoping the teddy bear would let them see the Suicune so she could help everyone out.

The Teddiursa jumped to her feet. ~Of course! If you make Suicune go away, then it will stop raining. I want to see the sun again. It's been raining for a whole week.~ The little green bear skipped off the path into the tall grasses of the Plains of Norm. ~This way!~
She continued to walk for a good ten minutes or so. They appeared to be heading toward a small clump of trees. When they passed under the canopy of the tiny grove, a large rock formation loomed in front of them. It had been hidden by the trees, and a small cave near the bottom would have been the perfect home for wild pokemon. That is, normally it would. At the moment, water was streaming down from the peak of the rocks, creating small waterfalls that washed out the entrance to the cave. The ground around the rocks was muddy and saturated. But the most interesting part of the scenery was perched on top of the rocks.
The pokemon was most definitly Suicune. Her body glimmered with water dropplets, and her unusual blue mane streamed out behind her. She had her head thrown back, eyes closed, as she held her face out to the dripping rain. ~Rain, come cleanse my weary soul! I am far from home, alone, lost among strange paths. Wash away my sorrows.~ She howled.
Back on the ground, Teddiursa made a face. ~She does that all day long.~

Sulteron, although she had known that it was Suicune she was looking for, gasped as her hand flew up to her mouth. Nothing could have prepared her for a sight of this magnificent beast. Fairo's eyes were huge, shiny with awe, and Mizoro stared as though she hadn't eaten for weeks and was now presended with a grand feast.
"Woah... Teddiursa, I'm gonna go up there to Suicune." Sulteron told the teddy bear, trying to find purchace on the rocks. Fairo was riding on her head, hissing at the rushing water. She slowly scrambled over the damp gush of wetness, while Mizoro even had trouble just flying up due to the large drops of rain which pelted her. Once she reached the top, Sulteron was about halfway up. After a little wait, Sulteron hauled herself over the top of the pile, next to the great creature that lay there. She could have reached out and touched that silky mane billowing out like a fantastic blue cloud, had she the disrespect to. She did not touch Suicune, allowing her her personal space.
Mizoro twittered in excitement; she couldn't help it. ~H-hi, S-s-suicune.~ she stammered, blushing a fiery red and seeking cover on Sulteron's shoulder. Fairo blinked. Mizoro? Shy? Wow, Suicune really was incredible. Sulteron bowed her head respectfully to the water wolf. "Suicune, I do not ask anything from you. I can see you're troubled, so naturally I wish to put a stop to that. I am not a member of Team Chaos, and I will never hurt you. Is there anything I can do for you? To stop your sadness? Are you hurt?" she asked, definately telling the truth.

Suicune turned at the sound of something clambering up the rocks. She watched Sulteron with large, wet eyes, her look gaurded and wary, but also rather fatigued. Bruises and other small battle wounds covered her flanks. She was actually rather young, only a teenager of a legendary.
~How can you help me, human? Other humans attacked me and chased me from my home. Now I am isolated from my family. I can not help them purify the waters of the wasteland, so my purpose has been stripped from me as well. Why can I not be left...~ She trailed off, her eyes fixed on something at the base of the rock pile. A terrific growl ripped from her throat, and she lept to her feet.
"There you are. Why don't you come down here and we can finish this quickly?" A cocky voice called. On the ground was a young man, staring up at the Suicune. His dark hair was buzz cut, and his clothes were a strange mixture of metallic colors. On his chest was a giant gold 'C'. He was tossing a pokeball up and down in his hand. "You really don't want to make me come up there. It will end worse for you."

Sulteron looked sympathetically to Suicune. "Don't worry. Somehow, we'll think of something. Even if we fail, you could always do other things. After all-" she began, but was cut off short by the man appearing at the foot of the rocks. She didn't need to see the letter 'C' emblazoned on his chest to know he was from Team Chaos; Suicune's growl was enough.
Sulteron knew that this man would do terrible things to the Suicune standing behind her. However, he had little interest in capturing young Pokémorphs, right? Well, she hoped so, because what she was about to do was extremely stupid. Slinging off her backpack, she carefully placed the jacket-bound eggs in her backpack, before telling Fairo to get in as well to avoid getting too wet. She told Mizoro to stay, too. She didn't know whether this would work, but she assumed that since this Grunt was entrusted with the capture of a Suicune, the Pokémon inside that Pokéball would probably be pretty powerful. It was likely that she wouldn't stand a chance fighting him, so at that moment, the shiny Espeon 'morph did something both very, very brave and very, very stupid.
She threw herself over the edge of the rocks, whizzing straight at the man. She could she that she would definately land on top of him, but then what? She knew! She would try to stop him releasing his Pokémon by either knocking the Pokéball out his hand, but, since she didn't really want to force them to part, she would probably just hold his hand still so he couldn't use it. She sighed. Sulteron knew what would really work. Reaching out with her mind, she used the powers she hated using. Telekenisis would be able to hold the Pokéball still.

"What the-" the man yelled as Sulteron fell right on top of him. He scuffled with the girl, trying to get her off him and push the button on the pokeball at the same time. But try though he may, for some odd reason he couldn't move his fingers. His brow furrowed as he used his other hand to try and shove Sulteron off him. "Who the shinx are you?" he demanded. His eyes widened as he took in her ears and other Espeon characteristics. "Believe me little girl, you don't want to mess with Team Chaos. It can only end badly for you."
While the two of them were wrestling, the shiny Teddiursa had gotten brave. She raced over to them, dodging their flailing limbs. At last she dashed in and snatched the pokeball from the grunt's hand, skipping away with it in her mouth. She promptly began to climb up the rock formation while the grunt yelled at her, demanded that the bear bring it back. ~It feel empty.~ She commented to Fairo, handing him the pokeball.

Fairo tested the Pokéball in his paws, and he had to agree with Teddiursa. It was rather light. Perhaps the Grunt expected to catch Suicune so easily? Maybe he wouldn't use Pokémon, but rather... well, who knew what. The Charmander held the Pokéball tightly in his paws, remaining at the peak of the rocks so the Grunt would not be able to get the intrument he needed to catch Suicune.
Sulteron panted as she attempted to pin the Grunt to the ground. When she had, the red jewel on her forehead was glowing madly. "I will defeat you. Good will always prevail. Besides, you can't catch anything without a Pokéball." she snarled, releasing her mind's hold on his hand with gratitude and glancing up at Fairo, where the Pokémon was grinning cheerily, holding up the Pokéball.
With that, a light began to envelope Sulteron. It spread out quickly, starting from her jewel, to her entire body as she felt the familiar changes overcome her body before the light faded away. Pokémorphs weren't just people with bits of Pokémon on them. Sulteron was in her Espeon form, her mint green tail whipping the Grunt's legs as she dug in her claws. Sometimes, it was good being able to be a Pokémon; she could fight off evil and protect Suicune easier this way.

"Yow! Stupid pokemorph. You're a freak of nature, you know that?!" The grunt yelled, hopping around on one leg and trying to shake the now Espeon Sulteron off his leg. "You shouldn't even exist. I'll show you." He dug into his pocket and drew out another pokeball. The one did have a pokemon inside, and the grunt pushed the button as fast as he could.
Out popped a buff Machoke. Fortunately, the fighting type looked rather beat up. Apparently it had already seen a tough battle recently, and there was a distinct bit mark on his shoulder that would fit Suicune proportions. "Machoke, Karate Chop this pest off me. And make sure you don't his my leg." The grunt demanded. The Machoke stepped forward, trying to be careful of his trainer as he aimed the attack at Sulteron. Were pokemon supposed to attack pokemorphs? He didn't know, but Sulteron looked and acted enough like a pokemon that he supposed it was ok.
Meanwhile, Suicune was warming up to Fairo. ~Your friend has spunk. I can see why you like her.~ She shook her sparkly mane and looked down on the battle once more. Pursing her lips, she blew a Bubblebeam attack at the Machoke in an attempt to help Sulteron.

Sulteron smiled humourously as the Grunt said she 'shouldn't exist'. It was Grunts from a team much like Team Chaos which had 'morphed her parents. That Machoke looked dangerous, and Sulteron hadn't actually fought against a Pokémon in... well, never, really. She swallowed, suddenly unsure. She couldn't do this, could she? Machoke was too strong. She knew she wouldn't be able to do this. But she had to try. She had to keep her eyes on the- well, there was no prize, but rather what would happen if she failed; a Suicune would be captured by Team Chaos and used and abused for the sake of nothing and evil. She couldn't let that happen. But unfortunately, both Machoke and the Grunt could.
Just as Sulteron was ready to sink into dispair as Machoke prepared his Karate Chop, she gasped, her lilac eyes widening in wonder as she saw Machoke warded off with a Bubblebeam coutesy of Suicune. She grinned to Suicune; she supposed this made them allies. "See!" she called, straining to force her larynx to make her sounds English. "You can't win when we are united by good!" she concluded, sending the first attack she'd done in months to Machoke; a Psychic. She didn't really know much about battling, and it fel very off for her to be in the position of her Pokémon.
