Cubone smiled as his attack hit, but, despite not being a recoil move, he winced anyway. He didn't have much enery left, and applying large and sudden amounts of force tired him greatly. The Ground type watched as the lizard became cloaked in a Smokescreen. Well, it might be hard to see in there, but he could still limit Charmander's possible positioning to the area inside that cloud. That was something Dante hadn't thought of!
Then the Pokéball occupied Cubone's full attention. No, he would not be caught. Not without a battle first, and he'd almost defeated Charmander anyway. No, a Pokéball wasn't the way for him right now. He knew he would be too weak to bat the Pokéball away with his paws or tail or anything, so did the only option that seemed wise; struck the Pokéball with his bone held like a cricket bat. The Pokéball shot back into Dante's hand, and Cubone moaned a little, clutching his sore arms. He tried to recover his breath, not attacking or paying attention to the world around him.

"Achtung, baby! Now we play it my way! Go, Charmander! Ember!" The plan had worked perfectly and he even saved a Pokeball! It was a win/win situation! Still, Charmander was about ready to curl over and sleep. There had to be one more way to get the Cubone if it dodged this Ember... OF course! Everything was clicking back and forming a well thought out plan. Here's what he would do;
Suppose Cubone did manage to evade Ember, which is highly possible, Dante would use his Pokeball and aim where he predicted the Cubone to land. It was simple, yet effective to the highest extent. What's more is if this actually worked, he would catch that frickin' Cubone and quite possibly be on his way to the next town.

ooc// Achtung ist Deutsch, nien? Du wohne in Deutschland, richtig? Ich liebe Magikarp.(Crappy German)
ic// Cubone let out a low whine as he saw the Ember attack coming. Well, he certainly had no energy left to dodge, so... he was staring into the bright burning face of defeat. Dumb lizard. He'd thought he'd had him, the stupid skull-hater. Why did he hate Cubone's skull? If Charmander didn't have one, his head would be mushy and his brain- if he had one- would get damaged. Bah, he was probably just jealous.
Well, the Ember attack struck it's target as plain as Cubone's bone. The Ground type may not have found the attack very effective at all, but in this state it was agony. He groaned, blinking hard and trying to regain focus, but it was no use. The black spots in front of his eyes clouded his vision, and he collapsed to the ground. The battle was over, and it was in Charmander's favour.
Cubone was defeated! Charmander gains two levels!

OOC: Korrigieren, Birdy. Ich lebe in Deutschland. Schmeicheln Sie mir nicht sagen, du liebst Magikarp. Es ist eine Falle! Ich weiß es!
IC: Silence filled the field as the Smokescreen cleared, revealing Charmander and his beaten body. The flaming reptile stared at the Cubone with an awed expression, hardly understanding how the Ground type fainted. The battle was so rough up till this point and now it was just over. A swift, cool wind swept over the grassy plain, the tall vegetation swaying like waves in an ocean. Charmander plopped down on the hard ground and fell down, slowly falling asleep.
Dante still held the Pokeball in his right hand, his grip loosening until the orb fell onto the ground with a slight clank. His hair fought against the wind, but was losing horribly as it thrashed about, scratching his face. "Charmander... WHOOOOAAAP! You did it!" Happy was an understatement for the expressions and emotions that Dante felt at this moment. Unfortunately, the Pokemon was sleeping, so it couldn't hear any of the congratulatory expressions.
Then he stopped. He glanced at the Cubone on the ground, wondering why it fought them. There was no Trainer, apparently, so what reason did it have to fight a wandering traveler? Didn't quite matter, though, since it was down for the count. Taking a Pokeball, Dante returned Charmander and stepped over towards Cubone, kneeling beside the bone wielder. The ferocity the Pokemon exhibited in battle was outstanding! To leave it out here in the open would be dishonorable. He knew what he would do, so he picked the Pokemon up, making sure to take the bone club with him. The little guy was tuckered out at the least. It was a shame, though, the Dante couldn't catch him.
The plan was to take the Pokemon to the Pokecenter and have it treated and sent to Prof. Appleblossom. There, he would make some friends. It would be great for him and he was sure the the Pokemon expert would love to raise the little guy to his full potential.

ooc// Don't you leik Cubones?
ic// Cubone didn't stir as Dante picked him up. He was, of course, completely wild and a loner, no connections to anything here. However, it would be fairly easy for the boy trainer to carry the Ground type to the Pokémon Centre.
You may now continue to ze Town.
