CLUNK! A sad start to a great morning... The spearow alarm clock, ignored as always was smacked to the floor by a figure in the bed. Was it broken..? Did she even really care..? Waking up early today was of extreme importance, but the morning was a vile thing for her. [/color] "S-SppE-ear-wo-ow-BZZT!" ----Two hours Later----
Hurrying along the path to the A.B Lab was Kiku Ushito. Looking rather unprepared and rushed. Her hair was rather messy, with her time allotted, a few brush strokes was all that she was able to do. Her large Umbreon ears where pinned back as she muttered angrily to herself. After the fiasco with the Spearow clock, she had woken up way to late. She feared not making it on time... Come to think of it, she was already Half an hour late! What a way to start! This was surely a bad omen.
Finally, she approached the front door. She stopped for a small breather, and a moment to collect herself. She brushed off her black jeans, and pulling her yellow belt just a tad bit tighter. Pulling on the bottom of her black blouse to straighten it out, and giving the sleeves a slight tug. She ran her small hands through her hair, pitch black with light blue highlights, to make it look more tame and decent. She placed her right arm on her bag, gripping in tightly, and used her free hand to open the door.
" Hello...?" She called out as the door was pushed open. A few timid steps... She entered the lab. " Professor A.B? You in here?" Not wanting to feel like an intruder, Kiku waited by the open door, for the arrival of the Pokemon Professor. [/size][/blockquote][/color] |

Professor Apple Blossom heard a faint call. It sounded like a new trainer coming for her first Pokémon, so she'd better get there quickly. But the experiment she was working on... it was too precious! "I'll be there in a sec, this is real important!" she called back. Right, a little fix there, connect two wires, and bingo! She had her invention completed to a point that she would be able to be drawn away from it. She ran to the door, finding it already opened and someone standing beside it. She hadn't knocked, but at least she hadn't dashed in or anything. AB flicked a lock of amazingly curly poofy red hair behind her ear, smiling at Kiku.
"Hello there. I'm Professor Apple Blossom. I'm sorry I didn't come earlier, I needed to staybleize (soz if that's spelt wrong) some Hydrogen 1, and connect some wires to channel the electic flow to -" she began, but shook herself, realising Kiku hadn't some for a description on what she was doing, she had come for a Pokémon. "Gah. Sorry, I guess I got carried away. Well, what starter Pokémon would you like?" she asked.

Kiku let out an inward sigh as the Professor continued to work on an important project... Guess that meant that A.B wouldn't be too upset with her late appearance... Maybe? Then the professor appeared, and Kiku couldn't help but think she looked much like a Professor would. Then, the description came.. Thoguh short, it seemed like an eternity of scientific and impossible to understand ramble... One of her hands reached up to rub the back of her head, and a worry smile appeared on her face and her Pokemorph ears pulled back. In just two short sentences, the professor made her brain feel like it was on fire! But relief came when the professor cut short.
"Well, what starer Pokémon would you like?" Asked the Professor. At that instant, Kiku's ears pulled up and her hand fell back to her side. Her face became that of an excited child, waiting for it's mother to hand them their one cookie for the night. She opened her mouth to speak, but it first came out as a is a messy jumble. She stammered with the vowels- I and E- for a few seconds, and then closed her mouth. With a firm shake of her head, she cleared her mind to make a slight attempt to compose herself... First, start off with courtesy, as her mother had taught her. She clasped her hands together, holding them in front of her chest, and slightly bowing forward. Thoguh it was an odd gesture, it was like saying 'Thanks for allowing me inside your lab.' Then, she pulled herself up and pulled her ears back, it was time to attempt her mess again..."Umm... M-maybe... Do... Do you... Have... maybe an Eevee...? Please?" [/b] Yes! She had done it! Finished a sentence with only minor stammering. She didn't quite understand why talking to the professor made her so nervous... Maybe she was afraid to sound like an idiot, after hearing the professor's amazing Scientific mind. She cast her eyes up towards the professor, waiting for a response, or even a hysterical laugh at Kiku's odd ways.[/size][/color][/blockquote] |

The Professor smiled encouragingly as the girl stammered for a fe moments. She seemed like a good kid, even if she was rather nervous. Getting their first pokemon was a really big deal for some kids though, and Professor A.B tried to hardest to make it a good experience. "Of course I do. Wait here for a moment, and I'll go get them." She turned on her heel and dissappeared once more into the depths of the lab.
When she returned, she was leading a small group of eevee... with one exception. Riding on the back of the lead eevee was a female Chimchar. She laughed as the male eevee she was riding ran in small circles, enjoying her piggy-back ride. Her eevee friend appeared to be good natured as he allowed the fire-monkey to cling to his back, bouncing around and giving her a wild time.
There were two more males, and one female eevee. The female instantly took a liking to Kiku, bounding over to bat playfully at her tail. One of the males shook his head and strode into the room, tail held high, showing off his fabulous brown ruff and well groomed coat. The last male appeared to not be fully awake yet. He yawned and pawed at his eyes before blinking absently at Kiku.

Kiku calmed down slightly as the Professor smiled and went off to gather the Pokemon. She waited patiently and excitedly... The presence of Pokemon always made her heart soar with excitement and joy. Eevee was also her favorite pokemon, not just because she was an Umbreon Pokemorph, but because of their cute appearance and many forms.
Then the professor appeared with four normal colored eevees and one Chimchar. It was an unbearable cute sight as one of the male Eevees allowed the female Chimchar to ride on his back. Kiku giggled and tilted her head enjoying the little show. A bat on the tail caught her attention,. She turned her head around to see the one female eevee playing with her tail. She smiled, and knelt down next to it, ruffling the fur on the top of it's head. The sight of the proud male, trotting in the room with his head held high was amusing. Then, the sleepy one with the blank stare... They were all so cute... How would she ever be able to decide... She decided to think about it for a moment...
The proud eevee would probably make a wonderful battle partner... The sleepy eevee would be fun to have around, even if he might be a bit tired most of the time, just like Kiku. The Female eevee was fun and seemed to have a kind personality, like Kiku. The eevee giving the Chimachar a ride was also fun loving... And the Chimchar was cute with a bright personality too. So, she thought...
A smile appeared on her face. The place her hands around the female eevee that was batting at her tail, and stood up. She turned to face the professor, her face brimming with complete joy."I'd like to take her, if that's alright professor... I feel... That she and I would make a great team..." she said in a solemn and true voice. It was an instant connection, that she felt would last... [/color][/size][/blockquote] |

The Professor nodded, a warm smile pulled across her countenance. "Alright then, let me just get what you need." Professor Apple Blossom walked behind her desk to shelves with many pokeballs on them. She pulled one out quickly, sure it was the correct one, and walked to her desk, looking around under it. The woman retrieved a bag full of supplies that any beginning trainer would need. "Okay!" She walked back over to Kiku, handing her the pokeball and the bag of items. "This is your pokeball, and your starter pack. The pack includes empty pokeballs, and healing items!" The professor smiled warmly. "I do hope you two have fun on your adventure. Take care of each other!"

Kiku grinned widely when her request to take this wonderful Eevee was accepted. Her head began to whirl with the thought of their soon to come adventures... The other Pokemon they would meet along the way, and the challenges they would overcome together in this world. She could already feel a strong bond between them, pulsing with a warm glow. She looked at the small eevee in her arms, an the eevee looked up at her. Black eyes staring into red with a mutual, friendly feeling... Kiku's ears where pulled back along her head, as she felt almost near tears with joy... Thinking of her new friend, and her lost friend... Umbi...
"That's right friend... We best think up a name for you." With a grin on her face from ear to ear, she poked the eevee's nose lightly, and the eevee returning the gesture with a lick, as a mocking bite. "How about Akemi...? It means I'm calling you bright and beautiful... Do you like it, Akemi? She asked the Pokemon. Akemi mimicked Kiku's wide and happy smile."Vee! she exclaimed happily.
Before Kiku could say anything else, the professor returned with a starter kit. Kiku gratefully accepted it, a small bow given in thanks. She held the starter kit in one hand, and Akemi in the other."Thank you so much professor! I know the two of us will have unending fun! Stay well, Professor, and thanks again!" With that said, the strange girl turned quickly on her heels, and bolted out the door. Her new companion hopping out her her arms, to race alongside her unto route one, where their starting journey would begin... [/color][/size] |
