Name: Reyes Avara
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Pokemorph: Marowak
Appearance:
Reyes was born to a family who in the reality Giratina was leaving were in the middle of nursing a family of Marowak and due to the close proximity they were merged with the Marowak upon creation of Airore. As far as the Avara family of Airore knew some strange power had awakened and merged them with the creatures in their care, not daunted or phased by this they searched for a way to reverse the change before eventually accepting it and continuing with their lives.
Reyes was born later in the family line, his pokemorph nature by then accepted by his town and family. His eyes silver and his hair white, like his albino human mother while his tanned skin, lean build and Marowak side come from his father. Although unlike a normal Marowak the skull they wore came not from their mother but appeared on the grounds of their home by some strange means. And any of the family always felt naked without their skull, of which they grew into much like a Marowak did. Although the shape always turned out to be a near perfect fit for each of them, the skull sitting perfectly over their face and resting snugly against their nose.
The skull could of course be removed but they none of them could stand to be without them for very long, although those born human Hand nails that grew like claws and had no need for a skull at all. It seemed the chance of being born this way was half and half, with the only variety in the pokemorph half being that they could either be born with a short tail or long tail. Reyes is of the short tail variety.
Now as for his attire well that's the uniform of a Pokemon Ranger (RSE outfit, male).
Personality:
Reyes is a friendly guy and caring guy, having been a pokemorph his entire life and born into a town where his kind of pokemorph is commonly know. Although for some reason there has only been a single family of Marowak pokemorphs in his town, although he couldn't help but wonder is another existed somewhere. Still used to being an accepted pokemorph he was caught out by his workmates reaction to his nature, although they soon adjusted and watched out for him whenever they went into towns not used to pokemorphs.
Due to the care of his workmates Reyes adjusted well to the culture shock that would greet him in some towns, although his uniform made it a lot easier to deal with then it might for some others. Often enough he found himself explaining how he came to be a pokemorph and did so with a smile, proud of his family line. Although being called a freak still offended him.
History:
Born into a family of both pokemorphs and humans, Reyes was raised in a well cared for environment and a town well adjusted to the presence of pokemorphs. As such he had many human friends and attended the public school, staying on long after the others left to become pokemon trainers. He'd long been held in awe by the Pokemon Ranger who had done a talk at the school, setting it as his goal to get accepted to the Pokemon Ranger Academy. A goal he achieved at great personal cost.
For upon the day Reyes gained acceptance to the Pokemon Ranger Academy, his older brother accidentally lead an anti-pokemorph movement to the family home from across the region. While they were sleeping the group set fire to the house and tried to trap the sleeping pokemorphs within, Reyes however managed to wake and rouse his human twin sister and younger sister. The trio managing to escape the house when Reyes quite literally landed on and proceeded to beat one of the group unconscious.
Unfortunately the trio were then chased off by the group, who followed them towards the town's police station. The group was quickly arrested as the town had already roused to fight the fire and given who they were chasing it was easy to figure out they were to blame. Unfortunately by the time they got to the house it was too late for the rest of the Avara's and the rest of the group was arrested.
It was decided the following morning that the now eighteen year old Jennifer would move in with her boyfriend and take their little sister, Alora with her. Reyes was welcome to join them but he instead decided to carry on with his plan to go to the Pokemon Ranger Academy, although now he was doing it to support his sisters. Oddly none of them developed a hatred for humans but that could be due to the fact that the entire town rallied to help them, the town's mayor in fact organising a fundraiser to help the girl's out and to give Reyes everything he'd need for the academy.
After that time passed easily in comparison, after the initial culture shock when the Academy introduced him to the entire campus. Even going out of their way to explain his circumstances so no-one said anything about his family, due to that his time at the academy passed with ease. He was of course bullied and everything else that happens to students but it was as one of them not a freak. If anyone took shots at him for who he was Reyes often found even those who didn't like him standing up for him and backing him up in fights.
It was rather amusing however that Reyes graduated top of his class and was then offered a place in the Pokemon Ranger's Trainer Branch, so saying a fond farewell to his academy home and his family he set off to collect his starter as the much younger Pokemon Trainer's did. His journey was just beginning and in his heart Reyes hoped beyond a hope to prove to the world that pokemorphs belong here just as much as anyone else.
