Breeding Rules

Right, to stop anyone spawning a gatrillion Magikarp or something, I have to put rules to this.

1. Kinda obvious, but you need a male and a female. You could rent a Ditto, but you won't get as many eggs.

2. A mod has to say that yes, the Pokémon are in love. You can ask them via PM.

3. You can only come here if you don't have any eggs obtained from here.

4. NO DESCRIPTIONS OF THE NAUGHTY. This is a friendly site, after all, and some of us are still under 15 or 18. I'm only thirteen myself!

5. Once the couple... emerge... the female will lay a number of eggs chosen by a mod's ordinary 6-sided die (although if you were with a Ditto only numbers 1-4 will count). These will take the normal time to hatch.

6. No legendaries except Manaphy and Phionie can breed.

7. OK. This might, again, seem obvious, but NO INTERBREEDING. Seriously. Basically, a Pokémon can't breed with their mother, or father, or siblings or cousins and so on.

8. The babies can be shiny. If both the parents are normal coloured, the baby has a normal chance of being shiny (In Airore, there's a much higher chance of shinies than in the games). For each shiny parent, the chance of a shiny baby is higher. No shiny parents has the normal chance of a shiny. One shiny parent gives a 40% chance for a shiny. Two shiny parents give an 80% chance for a shiny.

And, of course, prices. If;

You own both parents - $2,000
You own one parent, the other is a Breeding Centre Ditto - $3,000
You rent the Breeding Centre's shiny Ditto - $5,000

Birdy's Method of Giving Out the Eggs

Right! I'm going to tell you how I work out the eggs laid by the Pokémon. First of all, we have two senarios. Sort of. The first is when a trainer breeds his Totodile with the Daycare Ditto, the second where he breeds it with his Croconaw.

First senario (Totodile bred with Daycare Ditto)
Step 1. Using this random number generator (link), I generate a number between 1 and 4. This will be the number of Eggs which will be lain.

For this senario, I got the number 2. 2 Eggs will be lain.

Step 2. I then use the same random number generator to generate the number of shiny eggs. For each egg, I generate a number.

IF none of the parents are shiny, I generate a number between 1 and 100. If the number is less that 20, that egg will be a shiny. For this senario, I got 53 and 18. One of the eggs is shiny.

IF one parent is shiny, I generate a number between 1 and 100. If the number is less than 40, that egg is a shiny. For this senario, I got 56 and 49. None of the eggs is shiny.

IF one parent is shiny, I generate a number between 1 and 100. If the number is less than 80, that egg is a shiny. For this senario, I got 64 and 22. Both of the eggs are shiny.

Second senario (Totodile bred with Croconaw)
Step 1. Using this random number generator (link), I generate a number between 1 and 6. This will be the number of Eggs which will be lain.

For this senario, I got the number 4. 4 Eggs will be lain.

Step 2. I then use the same random number generator to generate the number of shiny eggs. For each egg, I generate a number.

IF none of the parents are shiny, I generate a number between 1 and 100. If the number is less that 20, that egg will be a shiny. For this senario, I got 53, 55, 79 and 18. One of the eggs is shiny.

IF one parent is shiny, I generate a number between 1 and 100. If the number is less than 40, that egg is a shiny. For this senario, I got 56, 33, 82 and 49. One of the eggs is shiny.

IF one parent is shiny, I generate a number between 1 and 100. If the number is less than 80, that egg is a shiny. For this senario, I got 64, 74, 43 and 22. All of the eggs are shiny.
