While Sody may not be small to the point of looking like an emaciated midget, he’s slightly shorter and leaner than most teens his age. He likes to eat a lot but surprisingly he never seems to gain a pound. As his small build would lead you to think, he doesn’t possess much physical strength. His hair is an odd, dull shade between brown and violet. He has dark brown eyes that don’t really stick out in any way. A very thin, fine layer of pale skin-colored fur covers almost every inch of his skin, though unless you touched it or looked closely enough you probably wouldn’t notice. Rather than hands Sody has misshaped paws with longer fingers and a barely-usable thumb. His feet are much like large paws that somehow manage to support all his weight. Perhaps the two most noticeable Pokémorph traits he has, however, are his tail and the small catlike ears that poke out from either side of his head. These are easily concealed by clothing, but all the same they’re a bit awkward.
Typically you’ll find him wearing things that hide the more obvious signs that he’s a ‘Morph. Jackets with hoods pulled over his head and baggy jeans are particularly common. He doesn’t really care for any form of style and simply wears whatever seems most practical. Due to how awkward it feels on his paws he usually doesn’t wear shoes or socks. The jeans he wears can easily cover up his ‘paws’, and it makes walking a lot easier on him. On a side note, he runs fastest on all fours.
[Well, I like to think I'm a pretty nice guy...]
Being somewhat of an optimist, Sody doesn’t usually sulk about or let something bother him for long. He easily learns to adapt to almost any situation and take even the worst issues in a positive way. Probably the best example of this would be how he’s already gotten used to the idea of having the genes of a Pokémon spliced with his (and a ‘girly’ Pokémon at that). In fact, already he has started to enjoy several of the benefits of it. The negative sides of it don’t really seem to upset him… Though occasionally he’ll bottle in his feelings when things start getting to him. If left to work it out on his own, he usually gets over such brief moments in a day or so. If agitated, however, he can reveal an emotional and angry side to his personality that would probably be better left unseen. He also honestly doesn’t care what anyone else thinks about him. Not in a rude way, per se, but in a way that clearly demonstrates how willing he is to be himself (… or just how oblivious he is to peer pressure). Sody’s an oddball, no matter how you look at it. He likes to sing, talk to himself, make catlike noises, poke people, and annoy the general public. And if you have a problem with it, he may very well just pretend not to notice and continue with his obnoxious behavior.
He's imaginitive and adventurous, always looking for new ways to entertain himself. The only real goal he has in life is to have as much fun as possible. His views on good and bad are almost innocent; he really couldn't care less whether you fight for justice or plague the world with misfortune. Deep down he's a pacifist. Fighting isn't something Sody likes very much, but if he has to do it he won't hesitate.
Gain his trust or keep him occupied and he'll be your friend for life. Break his trust or bore him for too long and he'll grow to despise you. Sody has a tendency to hold grudges mercilessly, though he really does mean well. It's usually best to stay on his good side; even if he is normally harmless he's still a Pokemorph with access to some dangerous powers. If he hurts something or someone who isn't his enemy, he drowns in his guilt. The last thing Sody wants to do is cause pain or harm.
[Ah, my life~]
Sody grew up as the third and middle child, right in the center of the Richards family's five kids. From a young age he was young and curious. He was one of those toddlers that got into everything, and one of those kids that was always finding trouble. His older brother and sister talked down to him and teased him often, but his younger brother and sister treated him like a king. They were always following him around, obeying his every command, aspiring to be just like him... (Of course, this often got his mother worried he'd pass his mischevious, troublesome acts onto them.)
In school his grades were always strange. He never studied, rarely did homework, and slacked off in class. Thus, his daily grades were usually very low. Yet he miraculously passed any test thrown at him with an 'A' every time. Because of this, some of his teachers loathed him and some of his teachers loved him. It never really made any sense, but eventually everyone just accepted it.
Sody had a pretty normal life, despite the large family. His mother stayed at home; his dad was usually out working, earning just enough money to comfortably support the seven of them. Sody went to school, supervised his two yonger siblings, and basically didn't do anything out of the ordinary. It wasn't until he turned ten that the excitement began.
He'd always wanted to be a Pokemon trainer. His family never had Pokemon, even as pets, and so it was a bit odd when he brought it up. At first the response he earned was a big, loud, "No." Apparently he was needed around the house, to babysit his siblings, to help take care of things... But of course he kept pestering. It wasn't until he turned eleven that his parents finally agreed to let him go off on a journey. His father drove him to the nearby A.B Labs. He didn't know he probably wouldn't be seeing his son again.
It took Sody about fifteen minutes to get in and out of the Lab. He came without a Pokemon; he left with a cheerful little Mudkip.
Naturally, it took Sody about fifteen more minutes to get into trouble.
A pair of Team Chaos grunts boredly decided to swipe him away (seeing as an eleven-year-old and his untrained starter Pokemon would be an easy target). They didn't have much trouble knocking him and the Mudkip out. After that it was simply a matter of dragging the kid back to their lab.
No, it wasn't exactly clear why Team Chaos decided to make Pokemorphs. Perhaps they were just bored. But whatever the reason, Sody's life was pretty much screwed over by a bit of Pokemon DNA. He woke up in a daze, uncertain of where he was. Eventually, as he came to his senses, he discovered he seemed to be in some kind of cage. And that he had a tail. And paws. And fur.
While the ordinary reaction would be to scream or panic, Sody was not and will never be ordinary. So for a while he examined his new body, paws and tail and fur and all, actually thinking it was sort of cool. As a few hours passed the realization that he wasn't dreaming or imagining things began to set in, though. He was afraid. Why was he here? What exactly was he? And would he ever get out?
Eventually a lab worker came by and noticed that the he was awake. Of course, Sody bombarded him with questions in an extremely annoying manner, and the worker was forced to answer a few. Sody was a Pokemorph. A Delcatty 'Morph, to be specific. He was simply a small experiment and he was to be gotten rid of as soon as the people working at the lab got around to dealing with him. Whether 'gotten rid of' meant 'killed' or 'tossed out to go live on the streets as a freak', Sody couldn't quite tell. Neither seemed like a very pleasant option, but the latter would probably be his choice if he had to pick.
As it turns out, a few workers were simply going to take him to a room and put him to sleep like a dog. No need to let a rat like him run around spreading rumors about Team Chaos and Pokemorphs. It'd be much simpler just to kill him off now. However, there was one thing they hadn't counted on: Fake Out.
It was perhaps the most basic move any Delcatty could make use of, but perhaps in their haste and lack of concern they'd underestimated the 'Morph. Whatever the case, Sody managed to pull off the move in a flash of instinct that was completely alien to him. The lab workers, startled and affected by the "flinching" side of the attack, didn't realize their victim was running away until he'd already disappeared down the hall. Sody was just nearing what looked like an exit door--
Oh, never mind. A grunt with a Garchomp stopped him. Not wanting to face the Garchomp, Sody gave up on his escape. He was taken back to the "cage" and his "execution" was rescheduled.
This time he used Faint Attack, disappearing when the lab workers tried dragging him down the hall and punching one of them from behind. Of course, Pokemorph or not, he was a scrawny eleven-year-old, and such a punch didn't do much more than tick the workers off. So the Pokemon half of his mind had him use Sing in a desperate attempt to keep him alive, and all of the lab workers fell over, asleep. Sody rushed for his escape once more-- aaaand there was that guard again.
This sort of thing repeated itself about ten times before the bumbling idiots decided to give the abnoxious kid what he wanted and open an exit door, letting him run off. Of course, none of them expected he could survive on his own, hiding from society. Not to mention he was so young.
Surprisingly, though, Sody somehow managed on his own. He'd had plenty of experience taking care of his siblings; taking care of himself couldn't be much different. The Pokemon side of his mind was also very helpful in that it knew how to live on its own. He could live off berries if he needed to.
He never tried going back home, knowing that even if his family recognized him they probably would have a hard time accepting what had happened. They'd probably assumed he was dead by now. He also didn't want to be a trainer anymore. Now that he technically was half-Pokemon and depended so much on his newfoud instincts it simply felt that it would be wrong to make Pokemon battles as a sport. He had no need for Gym Badges anyways.
Revenge isn't something he's really worried about now, since he's grown accustomed to his identity as a Pokemorph and perhaps even enjoys it. However, it is something Sody has considered. For now, he's content to wander around and see what happens.

[Sides? I don't like taking sides.]

[Anything else?]
He can use pretty much any attack a Skitty or Delcatty could use (minus TMs, HMs, and egg moves), though it's not nearly as powerful and he's not very skilled with it. Mostly he uses the few Pokemon moves he's learned to use for show and for fun rather than actual "battling".
Also, I'm not planning on having him be a trainer. He'll probably find a travelling companion or two and wander around with them, and maybe even befriend a Pokemon, but he won't be battling or collecting Gym Badges. That's okay, right?
((Lemme know if there's anything to fix. :D))
