~/..Chapter [[Isabella]] One../~ The sun was at the peak of its crest in the day when the girl finally stepped onto the first route. The air was hot and muggy, not a very pleasant combination, and it smelled like it had just rained recently. Stepping onto the dirt pathway with firm, boot-thudding steps was Isabella, the Johto girl. She was looking...rather angry, actually. The trek from the lab to where she was now hadn't been far, but the ex-pokemorph had time to mull things over and her anger had resurfaced.
Her steps pounding into the ground, trying to escape her anger through that method, her eyes darted around the route. She was still evaluating this region, and pitting it up against her home one. It was loosing, so far. She pulled back a strand of hair and narrowed her eyes. Not much activity as of yet...Maybe another pokemon in the picture will get something to stir? She took out the pokeball she had recently gotten and pressed the button. One flash of light later, and a large chikorita was standing in front of her, looking around curiously. ~What's up?~ a voice spoke up from where the pokemon was.
Cursing loudly, Isabella halted dead in her tracks and spun on the pokemon, who backed up hastily, startled by her reaction. "Did you just speak?" she asked her starter roughly. He nodded, looking at her sideways with a look that clearly said, ~Are you crazy, girl?~ Her brow furrowed and she looked thoughtfully at the pokemon. Him speaking changed everything...She tapped her arm with her fingertips, then gestured out to encompass the route one area. "Do you think you can stir up a pokemon, Acren?" ~Acren? So that's my name.~ The glower he was given made him glance around, getting back to what she wanted from him. Then, he shrugged. ~They're probably all hiding still from the rain. Wait until one gets curious enough to come out.~ Isabella scowled and kicked into the dirt. She didn't want to wait...So one of them better get their butts out here, and fast![/blockquote]

A Pokemon got their butt there, and fast. Something seemed to fall from a tree nearby, evidently hitting the ground, for a very-loud, jingly-jangly ringing sound was belted out by seemingly, the bushes. Well, of course not the bushes! It was the Pokemon, a Chingling who had been kicked out of a tree-by the tree.
The tiny beastie had been floating along, minding her own business, even taking a little rest in a random tree. She had tested out a few of her growing psychic powers, especially the most fun, telekinesis!
So pull a tree branch she did, minus any actual physical interaction. It was small, but large compared to her, and she moved it quite easily, oh, lo' and behold! But as she did her victory dance, giggling like a loon and hopping about, her concentration broke, causing the limb to whip towards her and send her sailing out of the tree and seemingly around the world once, or twice, even!
It was surreal for a moment, floating without floating, moving without effort; eventually, sadly, logic had to catch on, and the girlie realized that she was hurtling at a manic pace towards the ground. Using a little bit of that magic that helped her levitate, she softened her fall, but that wasn't by much.
The Chingling picked herself up - levitated, to be exact-, and emerged from the bushes and onto the route looking fatigued. Wait, was that talking? She turned, catching sight of a girl and some leafy-thing in the heat. The Pokemon shook her head. Hallucinating! How hard did she hit that icky earth?
One thing was for sure, this Chingling would never touch the nasty ground again. The thought brought a smile to her face, as she floated lazily towards Isabella and Arcen, in a bit of a stupor.
<H-hello there. . .> The Chingling had a calm voice, almost soothing, with a hint of musical tonality to it. <Why are you standing here?> She floated up close to Isabella's face, then down towards Arcen, giving him a scrutinizing glance.

~/..Chapter [[ Isabella ]] One../~ Not long after the Chikorita gave his (angrily disregarded) two cents, it seemed that Isabella's wish was granted! Quite literally, in fact. She spun around on a dime the second she heard the rustle of leaves and impact to the ground that the chingling supplied her with. Arcen jolted backwards, startled at his new trainer's snappy reaction, flicking the leaf atop his head nervously and shifting on his paws. This one seemed very...crisp, and he'd have to get used to her sudden movements.
Meanwhile, while the large chikorita was mulling over his trainer's behavior, said trainer was staring at the chingling with tilted brows and a calculating look. The pokemon seemed slightly dazed from her fall, but looked smug overall. Isabella couldn't imagine what she had done to manage getting hurled so hard from the tree, but she dismissed her entrance into her presence and watched the psychic type closely.
~Oh hey, looks like Giratina heard your...request...and granted your wish,~ Arcen commented in a very calm, dry manner, and the feisty fourteen year old turned towards him. She shot him a glare before asking icily, "And who is Giratina?" Chikorita shot her a baffled expression, then shook his head. ~Nobody...~ He turned his attention to the wild pokemon, trying to get the heat of his trainer's glare off his back. ~How do you do that? Float, I mean,~ he questioned, allowing his curiosity no limitations, trying to distract Isabella before he got into trouble. Looks like he'd have to tread carefully with her...she wasn't as easy-going as the professor.[/blockquote]

The Chingling observed Arcen and Isabella for a moment more before replying to the Pokemon's question. <How do I float?> She mused for a moment quietly, not quite sure how to answer. The Pyschic type bobbed up and down in the air as she thought.
Finally, after a minute or two, she spoke again. <Well, if I think really hard about it, I can stop floating all together, I think. So it must be some kinda wacky instinctive thing!> She smiled widely, obviously proud of her eloquent reply.
<But anyways,> She looked pointedly at the duo in front of her, still moving slowly up, then down, then up again, in a cycle.
<What kinda silly people and Pokemon hang out in the middle of a dirt road? That's silly, dontcha know? Did'ja know, did'ja know? Lotsa crazy silly people and Pokemon come down this dirt thing. So you aren't alone, crazies!> She giggled earnestly after her rapid-fire speech, spinning around in the air quickly.

~/..Chapter [[Isabella]] One../~ The newcomer-pair stared at the pokemon as she thought about the chikorita's question. Insantly, Isabella decided that she must be young, since it really seemed to stump her. She was just about to roll her eyes when the chingling answered, then began...on a rant.
Isabella gave a tired sigh as the psychic rambled on. What was she saying? Oh, who cares. She was just some frazzled little pokemon. She scowled at the pokemon, but Arcen was looking up at her with a faintly amused look. ~You okay?~ he asked slowly, not sure whether he was going to get suddenly attacked for this, ~Seems like you must've hit the ground really hard.~
"Like that has anything to do with it," the girl piped up sarcastically, not in the least bit patient. Turning back to them (she'd turned away from them moments ago), she decided to butt in and say, "What are you getting at, pokemon?" Arcen stared at her, a little startled, and a slight frown graced his lips. He hoped she'd get into a better attitude. But at least now he knew that it was probably best if he didn't say anything.[/blockquote]

Chingling twirled again. What was she getting at? ~What am I getting at? That makes no sense, sillies! It should be getting to, or with, or over or under or around! But at? Nopie-dokie, makes no sense!~ she said, moving quickly from on side of Isabella to the other. She shook up and down rather violently, bell body jangling a pretty tune as a result.
~Ah, sweet music. Hey, the fall? That what you talking about? Twas nothing, nothing, really. I'm all better now, see?~ she said, jingling a little. She grinned. ~Also, don't call me 'Pokémon'. I'm a Chingling, OK? Honestly, trainers are so ignorant these days. Chingling, Chingling, Chingling. Got it?~ she said, thinking about what to say next.
It was then that she finally realized what Isabella was asking. Since she was done pointing out reasons why the girl was silly, she felt she might as well answer it. ~Anyways, you don't wanna be standing in the middle of the road. You might meet the Nasty. He wants me, you see. Because of my psychic powers. He might want your Chikorita, too.~ Chingling said, nodding.
