A figure approached Petal Town. This was a figure who still had the tone and aura of a champion! But this was no champion yet. This was Tuck Shadowfall and his Ralts! He entered the town known mainly for its Library. So the first thing he did was go to the POkemon Center. He approached the counter where the nurse stood ready.
“Greetings! How may I help you?” She asked politely.
“Well uh. My Ralts is a bit injured. Just won a battle. Could you maybe heal her up?” Tuck said clueless his Pokémon had to be in its Pokeball to be healed
“Certainly! But you will need to put your Ralts in its Pokeball.” She replied. Tuck’s face turned red in Embarrassment. He felt so stupid that he didn’t know that.
“Oh uh alright. Sorry I’m kind of new to this whole trainer thing.” He said as he gave a smile pulling out the Ralts Pokeball. He then returned the Ralts and handed it to the Nurse. She placed the ball in the magically machine that can cure everything including cancer and she handed the Pokeball back to Tuck.
“Thank you! And we hope to see you again!” She said with a smile. Tuck nodded and said “Thank you miss” and walked towards the exit.
He let his Ralts out and placed her on his shoulder as he went to his second destination. The Library! He never really went to a Library before unless he had been forced to but he figured it would be the best place to learn about his two favorite pokemon besides Ralts. A Riolu and the legendary pokemon known as the Prince of the Sea, Manapy! As he approached the massive library he walked up the stairs tot eh second floor and saw a Section on “Pokemon” He went there and looked through the books. Finding three of these he walked over to a table and sat down. The three books he grabbed were Titled “Manaphy, The prince of the sea, “The legend of the Sea Temple” and the last one being “The history of Aura, Riolu and Lucario”
He flipped open the first one “Manaphy, The Prince of the Sea” and began reading flipping from page to page and stopped on one. One showing the image of a Manaphy egg. He pointed to the image and said quietly
“Ralts. This is what we are looking for!”

ooc// Since no-one's in Petal Town to RP with you, NPCs will save you!
ic// A tall, dark shaded figure stepped up behind Tuck. He, without the boy noticing, slipped a glance over his shoulder. Ah, Manaphy. He thought so; he studied legendaries in this library the whole time, and he recognized that book as the one about Manaphies. He wondered whether he should help this kid out or leave him to discover things for himself. Perhaps... if this trainer were suitable to know such information.
The man tapped Tuck on the shoulder, hoping to grab his attention. His face was shaded, hidden by his black hat. He wore a long dark brown coat, and jet black hair was underneath his hat. He smiled. "Hello, boy. My name... is Teepa. I noticed you were researching Manaphy." he said. "Well, as luck would have it, I happen to know a lot about Manaphy. You see, I am a trainer. I have travelled Airore and have uncovered many things by talking to locals and first-hand experience." he said.
Teepa then took out a Pokéball, spinning it skillfully on the end of his finger. "Kid, the Pokémon inside this Pokéball is in need of a trainer. Would you like it? Take the Pokéball. You can see the Pokémon if you wish; it is a Whismur." he explained, holding out the Pokéball. This seemed a rather strange offer. Teepa chuckled, ajusting his hat. "Don't worry, kid, there's no catch. I just wanna help you out, yeah?" he said.

Tuck did not notice the figure approach him. However his Ralts was able to pick it up with even seeing the man. She gently nudged the side of Tucks head.
“Raallll?” She said with Curious intent. Tuck turned his head towards the Ralts, his hair blocking his side vision which would have seen the man other wise.
“Whats up Ralts?” He spoke wondering what Ralts was up to.
The man tapped Tuck on the shoulder
Tuck emmiteatly turned his attention to the man. He seemed a tad creepy with the shaded face and all. The long brown coat and the black hat. Seemed a little mysterious. But who gave him the right to talk? He was the one walking around with a Guitar case on his back, a long black trench coat and even the nerve to wear a “The Beatles” T-shirt! Naw he wasn’t akward at all!
"Hello, boy. My name... is Teepa. I noticed you were researching Manaphy." he said. "Well, as luck would have it, I happen to know a lot about Manaphy. You see, I am a trainer. I have travelled Airore and have uncovered many things by talking to locals and first-hand experience."
Tuck at first seemed curious and went to even more curious as the man continued to speak.
“ Pleasure to meet you sir!” Tuck said in a polite and excited voice.
But Tuck didn’t even have time for as soon as Tuck began to put his hand out the Trainer pulled out a Poke ball asking him if he wanted it. Tuck not quite sure said the first thing that came to his head.
“Well. Sure! I would be more then happy to take the Whismur.” Tuck said. But continued with putting his hand out offering a hand shake.
“The name is Tuck Shadowfall. Pleasure to meet you sir.” He said in a polite tone. However he realized the introductions were not finshed. He continued on.
“And this is my Ralts. She doesn’t have a nickname yet. But I’m working on that.” Tuck finnaly stopped however the curiousness could easily be seen in his eyes. He was willing to get any help or info on Manaphy or Riolu he could get!

ooc// Riolu? I never said anything about Riolu.
ic// Teepa nodded at Tuck, giving the boy a half-smile. A Ralts, huh? So, perhaps this kid was a fan of Psychic types, or perhaps he just liked Ralts for some reason. He didn't seem the sort who would pick a Pokémon because it looked pretty or cute, that's for sure. That hairstyle, the way he dressed... Teepa guessed he was a bit of a punk or rocker or something. Not the best of lifestyle choices if one was going after Manaphy. Perhaps... he ought to test this boy first.
Yes, a test seemed like a very good idea. A battle. Not only would it show Teepa whether Tuck was a strong or worthy trainer, it would also show him about the way Tuck treated his Pokémon. Well, they could hardly fight in the library. "Before I give you Whismur or information, I'd like a battle. Outside, we can't fight in here." he said, waving at the shelves of books before walking out the library. He didn't look back, but he expected Tuck to follow him.

OOC: It was just a assumption about the Riolu thing. IC:
“A battle?” Tuck said right as the man left the library without looking back.
"A battle huh? Well that makes sense… You ready Ralts?” Tuck glanced towards the Ralts on his shoulder The Ralts replied in a positive attitude showing it was more than ready to battle this guy.
“Alright then. Lets see what this guy has up his sleeve.” Tuck said as he got up and walked towards the door. He reached behind him to make sure his Guitar case was on his back before leaving the table. He then made his way down stairs and outside. On the way however Tuck couldn’t help but think. How are we going to do this? We barely won the battle against the Starly, plus we only have one attack up our sleeve and that’s Shadow sneak. Well this will be a bit difficult but let’s just see how it goes! He had finally reached outside.
“You mind having a one on one battle?” Tuck asked sense he only had one Pokémon
Tuck stood waiting for a reply of some sort.

ooc// Psst, you ought to look up your Pokémon every time you get levels. If you click here, you'll see that Ralts knows Confusion now, since she's on level 6.
ic// Teepa's eyes sparkled in mirth. One on one, eh? As he'd suspected, this trainer must be a rookie. He had that look about him, one of inexperience. Well, he'd go easy on him in his choice of Pokémon. Well, he said easy. He'd use his lowest level Pokémon, which was still higher than whatever Tuck must have. All his others were around level 50. He gripped a Pokéball tightly, before throwing it and releasing the Pokémon within.
A Mankey snarled, baring his teeth at Tuck. Teepa smiled. Good, the monkey was loyal. "I caught this Mankey just recently, on Route One." he told Tuck. The Fighting type nodded in agreement. He respected Teepa, for he'd seen how strong a trainer he was. "Well, kid, choose your Pokémon." he finished.

OOC: Seriously? Wow.. I fell like a idiot now…
IC: Tuck new one thing about Mankey and that was to never look them I the eye. Or was that Primeape? Well it was one of the two he knew. SO him being carefully not to anger the monkey like Pokemon Tuck choose his Pokemon.
“ Your up Ralts! “ He said with no hesitation. He didn’t have any other Pokémon, but he trusted that Ralts could win the battle. The Ralts jumped down in front of Tuck landing in a kneel and walked a few steps ahead. The battle was about to begin
OOC: You want me to go ahead and attack? IF You want me to attack:
IC: “Alright Ralts. Lets start this off with a Shadowsneak!” Tuck said in a calm tone beginning the battle. The Ralts diapered and then reappeared behind the Mankey throwing itself towards the monkey Pokemon. The attack wasn’t very hard but the Ralts wanted to see how much this Makney could take before they really got into the battle. The attack would have been enough to maybe push the mankey and cause little damage.

Mankey was indeed pushed by the Shadow Sneak attack. The Ghost type attack struck the Fighting type hard, sending him staggering a few steps. However, he stayed on his feet easily, hopping from one to the other as he glared at Ralts, teeth bared. His face was contorted in fury, but he knew better than to attack now. He knew of his trainer's good skill, and waited for Teepa to give the order.
Teepa smiled. A Psychic type, eh? Psychic type moves were super effective against Fighting types like his Mankey, so this ought to be a challenge. No matter. He would go easy on Tuck, since he was a new, inexperienced trainer. He remembered when he'd first battled against another trainer. He'd lost that because he too had fought someone more experienced. "Mankey, Scratch!" he called his first command.
The pig monkey Pokémon snorted, glad to be allowed to attack. And an offensive move, too; his favourite. This trainer knew his fighting style already. The monkey knew that this was a man he could be proud to fight for. The rotund cream Pokémon raced at Ralts with admirable speed, Scratch at the ready in his claws.

((Sorry took me so long to reply. I had to go to Kansas city for my Cousins wedding))
Ralts simply stared at the Mankey something struck Ralts when the Mankeys teeth bared. It was intimidation if anything. Ralts seemed to have no time to move frozen it seemed. She was hit by the scratch and jumped back away a few feet.
“Ralts you alright?!?” Tuck asked quickly with a worried tone. The Ralts stood the with its head bowed still getting it self together after the attack witch hit hard, Ralts could sense Tuck was wanting to have her attack and that’s exactly what she did. She flicked her head up and her eyes showed a purplish glow. She threw up her arms and pointed them towards Mankey, this was Confusion! The Ralts glowed with a purple aura it seemed now and she then made a attempt to capture Mankey,
((If Succesful))
The Ralts lifted up the Mankey a bit off the ground and then tossed it with just enough power to cause it to land in front of Teepa. This new attack was powerful but Ralts couldn’t easily make it a full impact. Infact she could barely get the Mankey five feet off the ground. Tuck stood amazed at the power of this attack. “Good job Ralts!” Tuck said as the Ralts jumped back in front of Tuck ready for the next command.

ooc// You don't need to put down about what would happen if it were succesful; I get to say what happens to the attack.
ic// Mankey saw the Ralts concentrate. On what? Him? Yes, it seemed so. He moved away, trying to cut out her concentration so whatever attack she was using would be stopped, but he had no such luck with this and felt the pain of the move squeeze on his brain. He moaned in pain, clawing at his head. There was something inside, hurting him! He had to get it out! He just couldn't, however. The monkey Pokémon barely noticed the lifting up and tossing down. However, the pain in his head was, although he did not know it, not the full extent of Confusion.
Teepa frowned. Confusion was super effective against Fighting types. "Never mind, now, Mankey! Leer then Scratch!" he called. Mankey's eyes gleamed in an intimidating manner, the idea being to scare Ralts into having her Defense stat lowered. Once satisfied, the monkey Pokémon lunged up again in another Scratch attack.

The Ralts was pleased with its attack and wasn’t expecting the Mankey to get up. A foolish thought one would have thought who had been battling a long time. She hardly expected a counter attack. So when the Mankey rose to its feet Ralts did the most horrible thing she could have done. She looked the Mankey right in the eyes falling right into the leer. She stared for a second and then realized the Mankey was coming at her with another Scratch. The Leer having full effect lowered Defensive skill greatly.
“Ralts we got one good hit in let’s not get cocky! Dodge out of the way!” Tuck said sense he was really the only one on his side truly seeing what was going on. Once Ralts thought about dodging it was to late. The Mankey had caught up and threw a scratch attack at her. She was hit and pushed back just a bit.
“Ralts! Use that attack again!” Tuck let out not knowing what confusion was called.
And Ralts did so. The Purple aura surrounded her again and her eyes glowed purple as she went to grab hold of the Mankey once more. She had the intention of pushing him with a massive force back towards Teepa. Not letting him get in to close and also hoping to end the battle adding a bit more power to this blow.

Mankey felt the same pain, although it was lessened this time by the fact that Ralts was concentrating on having him pushed away. Confusion wasn't the strongest of attacks, so Mankey knew he could try to break free if he wanted to. Pushing back against Ralts, the monkey Pokémon strove to walk forewards. However, he found his feet skimming the ground as he was lifted up and began to drift slowly backwards. Yowling, he did his best to prevent movement, but to no avail. He fell near Teepa, his trainer. It hadn't hurt that much, but he didnt' think he'd be quick enough to attack without giving Ralts lots of time to dodge.
"Your Ralts' Confusion is pretty strong." commented Teepa to Tuck, impressed. He then looked at Mankey. He knew the Fighting type wasn't likely to be able to strike, so rather than waste time thinking about that, he sought an answer to how he would find a way to drive off the Confusion attacks. "Try and use Scratch!" he said anyway. Mankey moved as quickly as he could but, as he'd thought, it seemed as if it wouldn't work.

Tuck immediately smiled in self glory. His Ralts was awesome! Although he had no idea what he would do if the Mankey lasted longer than Ralts could throw out this move Confusion. But that wasn’t now and he planned on staying ahead
“Ralts dodge!” Tuck blurted out as he realized the Mankey was coming again.
However the Ralts stood there for a moment, also felling awesome for her power. But by the time she realized Tuck had given a command it was almost too late. Ralts saw the Mankey close in and land a scratch on her. However she knew Tuck was about to give a command. His emotion jumped before he did and she could sense that.
“Use Confusion on last time!” Tuck said thinking and hoping that the Mankey would go down!
“Give it everything you got!” He blurted out on last cheer before the Ralts attacked. The Ralts glowed with the Purple Aura again and went to grab hold of the mankey pushing it back towards Teepa. Once the attack was done she let go of the Aura and tried to cool off a bit hoping that the attack would be the last for this battle. But if by some chance it wasn’t she wanted to have the strength to attack back.

Mankey watched fearfully as that purple glow appeared around Ralts. He felt that same searing pain on his head again. This attack was in his head. It was all in his head, it didn't exist. As he told himself this over and over, he felt himself slip back a little. No! He blocked out the pain, trying to overwhelm the attack. He would not loose to a punk like this moron! He was growing angry now. The anger freed him from the Confusion attack, but he was on the verge of being defeated now. Stupid, obnoxious, no regard for others! More insults aimed at Tuck and Ralts whirled around his brain.
Teepa could see that his Pokémon was getting angry. That wasn't a very good thing to happen, for it meant he might get a out of control. "Mankey, stay calm! Use Leer, then Scratch!" he called, hoping that Mankey would heed the 'stay calm' part especially.
Mankey sucked in deep breathes, trying but mostly failing to calm down. Well, at least anger would make him scarier for the Leer and boost his power with adrenalin for the Scratch. The Leer was truly frightening, a move which would lower Ralts' Defense stat. The monkey Pokémon then rushed forward, paw ready to take a swipe in the promised Scratch attack.

The leer attack was indeed more affective. The anger of the Mankey was more of a fear tactic and Ralts just stood and stared no attack or no defense. Just stood and stared at the Mankey as it ran up with the Scratch attack ready to go.
“Ralts! This is it use Shadowsneak!” Tuck said but th eRalts just stood and stared at the Mankey as it got closer and closer. The word simply went in one ear and right out the other they weren’t clicking at all as Fear had gotten the best of Ralts.
“Come on Ralts! Use Shadow sneak to move out of the way and attack him from behind!” Tuck continued trying to get Ralts to do something.
The words still ha dno affect as the Mankeys scratch attack landed throwing Ralts back. This attack had incredible damage and put Ralts on the verge of fainting. But finally something clicked! Ralts right as she was hit disappeared and re appeared behind Mankey throwing her body towards the mankey at full force in some last attempt to end the battle. It was going to be this or Ralts loss…
