Letta walked along the path, she could not wait. She was finally getting a starter! It was around afternoon and the smell of flowers wafted though the air. It was cloudless, and Letta could tell that pokemon where sunbasking, even though she could not see them. She spotted the lab and knocked on the door. She thought of the kinds of pokemon she would get. She allways wanted a Chikorita, and that what she would get.

The door slowly swung open a few moments after Letta knocked; unusual, for it normally took the Professor at least half a minute to get to the door. She must have been lounging lazily by it; proven when she opened the door for the Emcub in her arms, sleeping soundlessly. It seemed very young. Professor Apple Blossom nodded to Letta. "I'm Professor Apple Blossom. Come in." she whispered, motioning to the sleeping baby Pokémon and putting a finger to her lips.
"I just managed to get this one to sleep. Well, anyway, what can I do for you?" the woman asked, ready to show a trainer-to-be some Pokémon. Somewhere in that lab was the one Letta would leave with.

Letta saw the Emcub before looking at the list of starters on the wall. She noted that Eevees were starters. "Can i see all the Eevees?"She asked. She wanted to know if there were shiny Eevees or just all normal Eevees.

Professor AB's smile disappeared, and she seemed pretty bored. Yet another person wanted an Eevee. Why were they so popular? They didn't even have a good moveset or anything! She sighed. "All the Eevee? No offense, but you sound as though you're trying to get a shiny. Anyway..." she said, grabbing four Pokéballs. "Half the Eevee we had were taken in just two and a half weeks. This is the only ones left." she explained, releasing them from their Pokéballs.
The first two were both male, and both shiny. They growled and spat at Letta, looking ready to snap at her. Not very friendly. They then caught sight of each other and tumbled to the floor, fighting madly over nothing. Violent, too. The other male was normally coloured, trotting around as though he owned the place. The final Eevee was a female, who simply sat there, staring into space.
AB looked at Letta. "Now, I'd better warn you. The two shinies are competative and violent, and one was returned because he almost bit his trainer's finger off. Also, Eevee don't have a very good moveset, so unless you're very rich and can buy loads of TMs I wouldn't reckomend them. It's not just how a Pokémon looks. You've also got to take into account personality and moves. Tell you what, I'll show you a few more. I'll pick out some cute Pokémon." she said, releasing three more Pokéballs.
First came a Chikorita, who sat next to the female Eevee and started up a conversation. Next came a Pikachu, who watched Letta with inquisitive eyes. Finally came an Emcub like the one in AB's arms, who leapt into Letta's arms and purred happily. AB's smile was back. "Choose carefully, Letta." she said. She supposed she wouldn't mind giving Letta an Eevee. The normally coloured ones would be all right, she supposed.
