ooc// Earlier on, it wasn't actually a battle, was it? Besides, the rule is against dodging more than three times in a row.

Kairi sighed as the attack missed. "Ok, try again!" She called out. Pikachu aimed another Thunder Wave attack at the Absol, hoping to hit it.

OOC: Sorry, if my post is short, too short. But I feel as if I can't get into this battle very good. I'm getting bored with it.

ooc// How can you be bored of it if it's only just begun? Oh, right, it's because you haven't got a move in. But what happened to the Absol's Scratch? You didn't even mention it in your post, so I don't know whether it hit or missed.

ic// Absol attempted to evade the attack again, but was hit. The grunt smiled. Pft, to him, this was a sign of weakness. In his eyes, using Thunder Wave made Kairi a coward because she thought she needed to render her opponents completely harmless before she dared attack. Well, where was the fun in that? The grunt loved a battle which was fair, and wasn't the sort who'd completely disable his opponents. Still, it wasn't as if being paralyzed completely stopped movement. For the most part, it would simply slow a Pokémon. "Quick Attack!" he called.

Absol could see what he was doing there. Since he was slowed by the Palaryzis, he a quick move would be useful. He wasn't sure, however, whether or not being Paralyzed would stop his attacks just yet, but as he readied himself, he could tell the Quick Attack would hit. A little frustrated as he found himself attacking barely faster than a Tackle, he kept calm and hoped to follow the attack through. It looked like it would hit Pikachu, but because it was slower would deal a little less damage than usual.

OOC: It's been over a month since I've had my eggs. But they'll be in trouble if they hatch during the fight. So sorry I haven't been here in awhile, I got writer's block.

Kairi saw Absol attempt to evade Pikachu's attack,"It's no use!" She called out. Absol was hit this time by the attack. It was now paralyzed. The grunt then called out,"Quick Attack!" Kairi then screamed out,"Dodge it Pikachu!" Pikachu jumped out of the way. Absol's attack missed.

Kairi stopped to think things though. She had to finish this battle fast. She thought of her eggs. She'd had them for quite some time now. It would be bad if they hatched during the fight. If her eggs hatched right now the babies would be in danger.

Kairi thought about it,"I wonder...if.." she knew that some trainers used attacks and fused them together into one. She didn't know weather or not it would work. But she had to try, otherwise she'd get all her Pokemon and her eggs stolen from her.

"Pikachu, use your Iron Tail and Growl attack together!" Kairi called out to Pikachu. He nodded and started building up power in his tail. Pikachu's tail glowed silver. He then jumped up and came down on to Absol using Iron Tail and growling at the same time.

ooc// I think fusion attacks are allowed, but not if both of them are offensive moves, sorry. And don't worry, I won't make her eggs hatch in the middle of this.

Absol growled angrily as Pikachu dodged his Quick Attack, in his opinion more signs that Kairi was the sort who assumed her Pokémon were so weak they couldn't take a single hit. He hated people who over-reacted like that, it seemed so silly. Absol's paralysis slowed him, meaning he couldn't dodge Pikachu's Iron Tail/Growl combination. He felt his attack stat weaken and a little pain as the mouse's tail connected with him, and winced. The grunt narrowed his eyes, not seeming to like this much at all. Iron Tail was quite a reasonably strong move, and Absol had expressed some pain from it. "Let's show her a combination of our own, shall we? Leer and Scratch." he said calmly.

With a nod, the Dark type wolf began his attack. He flexed his muscles, hoping the paralysis wouldn't cause him too much harm this time. He wasn't entirely sure how he would go about doing this, but that had never stopped him before. The Absol's eyes glittered, seeming to glow. He looked big and intimidating as he started to race for Pikachu, glad that he was able to move almost as fast as normal again. The Leer would lower Pikachu's defense, and there was nothing Kairi or Pikachu could do to avoid that, and Absol slashed out as quickly as he could for the Scratch.

Absol had growled angrily as Pikachu dodged his Quick Attack. Absol's paralysis slowed him, meaning he couldn't dodge Pikachu's Iron Tail/Growl combination. "Look out Pikachu!" Kairi screamed,'Wait! He thinks I'm so weak, and I'm too scared to have Pikachu take a single hit. I'll show him!' Kairi thought. She nodded, making up her mind,"You know what Pikachu, show Absol you can take what it dishes out. Just take the attack!" Pikachu nodded, and as soon as Absol made contact with him, he attempted to grab onto Absol's fur,"Now Thundershock!" Pikachu nodded,"Pikaaaachuuuu!"

Hm, so the stupid mouse had finally decided that perhaps it could take hits after all. Absol was, to be honest, fairly ashamed for Kairi about how ignorant she seemed. She was acting as if she thought every dodge attempt would suceed- that last hit had been to 'prove' herself- but she seriously didn't know that dodges were very often unsucessful. Surely she knew that most attacks had a 95% hit rate? Yes... she was very foolish indeed to assume that every dodge would work. The grunt then watched as Pikachu used a Thundershock, the Absol unable to do much more than grit his teeth against it. He tutted. "Absol, just a bit more, yeah? OK, Quick Attack."

The wolf pulled away from Pikachu as soon as he could, moving back so he might attack. After all, a Quick Attack was nothing without a bit of build-up, was it? The Dark type snarled as he tensed his muscles, readying his move. Right... yes, now he was ready. He shot at Pikachu like a bullet in the powerful and very accurate move; it was almost impossible to dodge this one, so he hoped the mouse would be hit.

Kairi saw the way he looked at her,"Stop making fun of me!" Kairi screamed. The grunt ingored her. Kairi wasn't so weak that she thought her Pokemon couldn't take a single hit. She just loved her Pokemon very much is all,"You may be strong but I bet your Pokemon don't love you. They probabbly only do what there told because your there trainer but I bet they have no feelings for you. You'll never be strong if you don't love and care for Pokemon," Kairi explained to the grunt.

The grunt looked like he was mad as he told his Absol,"Absol, just a bit more, yeah? OK, Quick Attack." Pikachu grinned and jumped up into the air above the Absol, making the attack miss,"I'll show you power! Pikachu come back down with Thundershock and Tail Whip!" Pikachu nodded as he came back down, head first buliding power in his tail and cheeks he started spinning as he came down with the fused Thundershock/Tail Whip attack.

Kairi stood there waiting to see if Pikachu would hit or not. She already had a plan if Pikachu should fail. He was already looking tired. If the fight didn't end soon, something terrible would happen. Shiva was still in her Poke Ball. Kairi pulled out the shiny Glaceon's Poke Ball, getting her ready for battle in case Pikachu fainted. Meanwhile, Shaymin popped her head out of the bag and yawned,"Shaymin get down," Kairi whispered to her,+Oh, I see,+ she said realizing the danger as she went back down into the bag. Kairi hoped the grunt hadn't seen Shaymin.

Absol snarled angrily as Kairi insulted his relationship with his trainer. Just because his trainer wasn't a perticulary nice person didn't mean he didn't respect his Pokémon. In fact, Absol rather admired his trainer. Anyway, Pikachu was attacking. He darted to one side, safely dodging the move. After all, Pikachu had dodged all but one of his moves, so it was about time he dodged, too. He was feeling fairly weakened now, too, so would probably only have another attack, maybe two, to take before he would faint.

The grunt could see this, but obviously didn't want his Pokémon to faint. "Come on, Absol, I know you can do this! Another Quick Attack! This time, make sure that if Pikachu tries anything, you'll be able to change course and get him anyway!" he called. Absol could hear a glimmer of hope in his voice, and nodded. He could do that. He zipped towards Pikachu in a Quick Attack, and there was little escape for the mouse; even if he tried jumping, Absol could jump too. But it was very unlikely that he would faint, since he had only taken one attack so far this battle. Two hits would never make a Pokémon faint unless they were shamefully weak, so Pikachu should be all right.

Kairi saw the Absol snarl at her. Then looked mad as Absol dodged Pikachu's attack. It had dodged both attacks,"Come on, Absol, I know you can do this! Another Quick Attack! This time, make sure that if Pikachu tries anything, you'll be able to change course and get him anyway!" The grunt called out.

"Pikachu!" Kairi screamed as Pikachu was hit full force with a cirtial hit. But she wouldn't give up. Kairi held her fist up at the grunt as she screamed at him,"I won't give up! Don't you understand this! I love Shaymin and I will protect her with my life at all costs! So, no matter what you do to me or how you bring me down you will never get Shaymin do you hear me! You'll have to take her over my dead body!" Kairi screamed,"SHOCK WAVE!!!!!" She screamed with all her might.

Pikachu built up power in his cheeks. He put max power into his attack as he felt Kairi's anger and deturnination and put his all into this attack and let it fly towards the Absol and the grunt. Kairi was very mad now,"I'm bringing you and the rest of Team Chaos down! You can count on it! I won't let you get away with your evil deeds any longer!" She screamed as Pikachu's attack headed for both grunt and Pokemon

ooc// Phew, talk about an overreaction. You're right about her sounding like Ash. Man, I hate Ash. I guess we Brits aren't so much into the whole acting extreme to everything, eh? A Brit would probably just say 'oops, oh dear' if that happened XD So yeah, if you think someone in my posts are acting strange, it's because I'm a Brit.

ic// The grunt rolled his eyes as Kairi rambled on. "Yes, I thought we'd already established that." he replied. She sure liked to go on about things, didn't she? Honestly, it wasn't even her Pokémon. Hm, so her bratty Pikachu was using a Shock Wave. Well, that was a bit more powerful that her previous attacks, wasn't it? Why hadn't she used it earlier? Plus, was there really the need for all that screaming? "Do you mind shutting up a bit? I'm only here, I can hear you perfectly well." he pointed out.

As for Pikachu's shock wave, Absol tried to dodge it obviously. However, the attack was quite a large one, and so covered a larger range. The wolf found it a bit harder to dodge because of that fact, and so was hit. He collapsed to the ground, shaking as the electricity passed through his body. Once it was over, he tried to get shakily to his paws, but failed, falling and closing his eyes. It was clear he had fainted. Kairi had one.

The grunt frowned. "Ah. Hm, well, I wasn't really betting on this to happen." he said, a little uneasy. "Well, this is awkward. Tell you what, I suppose I might want to leave before you turn into the Hulk or something. Er... goodbye." he said, releasing his Ponyta again and galloping away before her Pikachu could zap him like in those horrible, horrible cartoons with those annoying trainers.

ooc// Oops, sorry about that. You could have stuck a post in none the less, it would have made this one so much easier to write.

ic// As the man disappeared into the distance, a faint twitching came from Kairi's backpack. What could that be? It was followed shortly afterward by a loud cracking sound. Oh, her eggs must be hatching! If she checked, the one she recieved from Sulteron seemed to be in more of a rush to hatch than the others. What would Kairi do about these eggs, then?

Pikachu gains two levels, Kairi earns $800.
