The Pokemorph, named Drake walked up to the large building where it was said he could get a pokemon. Looking at the door he wondered, What the person who lived here would be like, kind or rude? Putting his worries behind him he knocked on the door. Then having second thoughts started to walk away, "He really didn't need a starter pokemon, besides what if the person who lived here was bad like the other people he had met," he thought. Walking away from the house and a possible better future then the one he had. He was throwing away and leaving the house where he could get a starter and a new image for himself, was this really the best idea?

ic// Professor Apple Blossom heard the knock, and smiled. Ah, a new trainer. It was always great to meet the new people and help them get started on their journey. She loved making them happy, it was just wonderful. The Professor walking swiftly to the door, answering it nice and quickly; she didn't want to have to keep anyone waiting. She saw the doubtful looking Drake, and gave him a warm, welcoming smile. Her shocking curly red her bounced as she waved him inside.
"Welcome to AB Labs. I'm Professor Apple Blossom." she introduced herself, although he almost definately already knew that. Noting his look, she added, "Don't worry, you won't be seeing much lab like stuff. Just Pokémon and items. So, what Pokémon do you have in mind for your starter?" she asked.

Looking at the professor, who called herself Apple Blossom. A weird name in Drake's opinion. Thinking a little bit while scratching his head he said, "Well I haven't really thought about what pokemon I would want" Thinking a bit, some pokemon came to his mind, "What about a, a Treecko or a Squirtle?" He inquired. "The professor hadn't seemed too bad, besides he was a few 100 or so miles from that town and who would care about a runaway around here?" Then putting a little faith in the professor gave a small hesitant smile.

Treecko or a Squirtle, huh? Those were two very different Pokemon and showed that Drake was a trainer who would go for many different Pokemon. That was generally a good thing about a trainer, wasn't it? In AB's opinion, it was. It was always better to collect s variety of Pokemon so you had a lot of advantages. The Professor took out three Pokeballs and released them; a Squirtle, Treecko and shiny Treecko. The Squirtle looked timid and wary of Drake, Treeckos a little more adventerous. The normal Treecko smiled, clambering nimbly up Drake as though he were a tree, while the shiny stayed at his side but seemed more distrusting.

Drake looked at the Pokemon, thinking about which one to take. Would it be the Squirtle, which seemed to be timid kinda how he felt. Or would it be one of the Treekos which, seemed to be less timid then the Squirtle." Any one of them would be a good partner," he thought. However looking down since he was looking off to space he noticed the Treeko who was climbing up his shirt. Then looking at the Treeko, he really didn't care about shineys, so he took the Treeko off his shirt and put if on the ground. Then he pointed at the Squirtle, he didn't want the Treekos they seemed to be a bit too adventurous. And said, "Can I take the Squirtle, Professor?"

Professor AB watched as Drake looked at the Treeckos and the Squirtle, trying to find which one would be best for him. She herself wondered which he would choose in the end, interested in the habits of new trainers. It was good to see that he wasn't biast in his decision in favour of the shiny, rather being very sensible and instead judging them by their personalities to see which was right for him.
He'd chosen Squirtle? AB nodded, smiling as she returned the other Pokémon, leaving the Squirtle out to be aquainted with its new master. The Professor handed over the turtle's Pokémon. Hm, a lot of trainers seemed to be opting with Squirtle recently for some reason, while before they all seemed to choose Eevee or at least think about Eevee. That was strange... she had thought people would be very diversed in what they chose all the time. Anyway, she handed Drake the starter's items and stood back; now he was good to go.

Thanking the professor Drake walked out of the house after putting the items into his bag and putting the timid Squirtle also into his bag. He also made it possible for the pokemon to see out by opening up the zipper a bit allowing the pokemon to be able to poke out its head. However this wasn't necessary for the Squirtle had already retreated into its shell and fell asleep.
