Leon vs Duos!
Alexis entered the large building with Leon close by her side "Looks pretty menacing, doesn't it Lexi?" She heard Leon speak quietly to her before tugging on one of the straps on her boots as a signal he wanted to be picked up. As she picked up Leon she became aware of the Trainers that lined the room with all of their Pokémon especially one very curious Mareep that crept over and tugged on Alexis' boots. "Aww, Well aren't just gorgeous?" Alexis said and crouched down, petting the Mareep's static fleece feeling slight jolts of electricity running up her arm. Leon fidgeted uncomfortably in her arms knowing the fact that being around an electrical sheep and an electrical lion Pokémorph wasn't the best place for a water typed crocodile.
"Oh, I'm sorry, was he bothering you?" Came a voice from above the Mareep and as Alexis looked up she saw a small, dainty girl "No, no not at all, I was just admiring her, she's beautiful. I'm Alexis Mallen by the way, this is Leon, the mighty Totodile we're here to do a little training." Alexis formally introduced herself and petted Leon who glared up at her giving her the 'Better watch what you say princess, I have the power to take off your hand without much effort' look. The girl giggled and offered a hand to Alexis, which she shook straight away.
"I'm Katlyn Lazarevic and this is my pride and joy, Baby." Baby looked proud and just spoke out a confident "Mareep" before Katlyn spoke again "We're here for training too and I'd love to see how Baby would hold up against your Leon but, although she might not look it, she's actually levelled really highly, I just never wanted her to evolve, so here she is." Alexis looked down at the Mareep and did sense there was alot of strength about her, Leon began stirring in her arms again and lept up onto her shoulder and cuddled into her neck.
Then, on the large speaker phone Katlyn and Baby's names were called out."You can sign up over there, me and Baby are going to prepare for our battle and if we finish in time we'll try and sneak in to root you on." She gestured to a desk in the center of the room before running off with Baby prancing at her side before Alexis got a chance to say goodbye, but Leon then instantly relaxed.
Alexis approached the desk and was wondering what to say to the woman behind the desk who was scribbling away on some pieces of paper. "Name?" She asked abruptly and Alexis jumped. "Well, have you got a name? Or not?" The woman asked again, more rudely this time. "Alexis Mallen. I'm going to be competing with my Totodile, Leon, he's currently at level 5." She replied quickly. The woman sighed, wrote Alexis' and Leon's name on the piece of paper before tearing a section of it off and shoving it across the desk to Alexis. "Across the hall, follow down the Juniour corridor and you're in room 201." Alexis took the paper barely mumbling a thankyou under her breath.
On her way to the room Alexis read over the paper to see the information with Leon reading through too from her shoulder. Alexis grinned "It appears we're going to be battling someone called Hayden and his Cranidos, Duos who's a Rock type." Leon snapped happily in her ear as he said "We can take 'em Alexis!" Leon was fidgeting happily and excitedly on her shoulder as they reached the door. A snobby looking boy was stood in the center of the ring who gestured for Alexis to enter, she placed Leon on the ground and put the slip of paper into her pocket before entering. "Right, I'm Hayden Watkins, this is Duos, don't care much for who you are, no time for chit-chat, let's go!" Hayden spoke confidently and Duos just growled quietly. "Alexis, this is Leon. Let's go!" She had ignored Hayden's snarky comment about not caring who she was and introduced herself and her partner anyway as she was stepping up to the ring, Leon hopping confidently along beside her.Battle, Start!

Aiming for 9 Levels, please?
The field was 3/4 land with grassy areas and just normal ground areas with large rocks. But the other 1/4 was a body of water which Leon took to almost instantly but he wouldn't move without orders from Alexis. "Well, little lady, seeing as I'm a gentleman you can go first." Hayden said in an ordering tone. Alexis nodded in reply "Leon, use Leer and then scratch." Leon nodded in response and leered at the Cranidos, lowering it's defense quite a bit and knocking it slightly off guard when Leon lept and attacked Duos with a flurry of scratch attacks, each one hitting in succession and knocking him into a boulder, crumbling it under the strength of Duos' hard head.
"Ugh! You stupid Dinosaur! You could've easily dodged that, but nooo. You're cheating you... You Cat monstrosity!" Hayden had appeared to start a childish tantrum, along with stamping his feet like a small infant. It was at this instant that Alexis overlooked the awful name he called her and felt sorry for Duos and the battle had only just begun! Once he had calmed down he glared at Duos who had picked himself up and was just stood there being slated and was waiting for orders. "Use Headbutt." Hayden grumbled and crossed his arms across his chest.
Amazingly, Duos did exactly what his brat of a trainer told him to and charged at the runt of a Totodile, hitting him head on and knocking Leon way over to the other side of the field. Alexis gritted her teeth and called out to Leon in her mind, knowing he couldn't hear her but it didn't stop her from trying and through her desperation a faint "Come on Leon, you can do it." escaped her lips. "To...to...dile..." He called out quietly and even though his small body shouldn't have been able to take the blow that was built up with the anger of the Cranidos from the mistreatment of it's trainer, it was through Alexis' love and hope for Leon that he had the ability to stand. "Guess you aren't as useless as I thought. Good job Duos." It was at this comment that Duos seemed to glow and feel proud.
Once Alexis was sure she knew Leon would be able to attack again she took note of the surroundings, as that may be used to an advantage. Leon kind of got the gist as to why she was looking around so much and gestured with a sway of his tail towards the body of water to his left and Alexis grinned and nodded. Duos had curiously walked over, wondering what this Pokémorph had in mind, but also to possibly sneak in another attack. "Leon, use Leer." She called out and Leon did just that as the Cranidos was slowly closing the gap between them. After the Leer had taken affect, Duos picked up his pace and started running towards Leon again and once Alexis judged Duos to be close enough she called out "Quickly Leon! Use scratch on the water!" Leon turned to the body of water and furiously began scratching it, splashing it every which way but mainly at the Cranidos.
Duos let out a loud screech and fell onto his side squeeling and squeaming on the ground "No! No! You cheat! Duos, get up and use Headbutt now or else you won't want to come home!" Hayden called out to his Pokémon and although Alexis felt sorry for Duos, who had finished writhing and was struggling up to his feet, she felt proud of Leon for being able to stand and perform that attack after taking such a strong attack. Once Duos had struggled onto his feet he began to charge at Leon, slower than before, and also alot more clumsily.
Without even an order from Alexis, Leon lept onto Duos' head and ran along his back, landing on the other side of him. "Toto." Leon retorted cockily, leaving a smile on Alexis' face but Hayden's face had started turning red with anger. "You bloody Dinosaur! And Daddy said you were a decent Pokémon! Well, you've definately proved him wrong!" He had started up another one of his ranting tantrums, although he had thrown flailing his arms above his head into the mix with his stamping of feet. "Just use Headbutt and do not miss this time, or I'm calling off this battle and we're going home."
The Cranidos sighed wearily but somehow had regained some of it's strength and turned quickly and Headbutted Leon again, although not as strongly this time so Leon wasn't sent flying, he just skidded back a few feet. "Hey, Leon, how're you holding up?" Alexis asked after chewing on her bottom lip but Leon just looked to her and nodded. He was pretty beat up. But so was Duos. They both appeared to be on their last legs and Alexis wasn't going to give up now.
"Leon, use Scratch!" "Duos, use Headbutt!" The two Trainers called out at the same time the Pokémon gave a grunt and a nod in response before running as fast as they could, Alexis held her breath and shut her eyes, not wanting to witness what may happen next. She knew for sure, whether Leon won or lost, he would always be her pride and joy and, unlike Hayden and Duos, she would always love him no matter the outcome of this battle, or any other battle for that matter.
"Cranidos!" "Totodile!" Is what Alexis heard before she opened her eyes, but once she did, Leon and Duos were frozen, facing each other in the center of the field. Alexis noticed that even Hayden was holding his breath. Just as soon as Alexis decided she needed to call out to Leon, Duos collapsed, leaving Leon stood over him, breathing heavily.
Duos twitched once, then twice, then was still. It was over.Battle, End!
Hayden inhaled deeply "No... No! You stupid Dinosaur! You got beaten by a stupid little Crocodile, that's disgusting! Wait until Daddy is informed about this, you're in trouble!" He was ranting all the time he walked over to Duos and called him back into his Pokéball. Alexis practically sprinted over and picked up Leon, snuggling him and kissing his nose and praising him.
On her way out Hayden was insulting her, but she didn't care, Leon was her prority now and even though he seemed, still a bundle of energy, the wounds shone through and she knew she needed to get him to a Pokémon Center. Once she had exited the door, Katlyn jumped her with Baby close behind, hugging Alexis and Leon tightly "Congrats you two! You fought so, so well Leon! I'm going to have to treat you sometime." She spoke so excitedly, it was as if she had won the battle herself, not Leon. "Thank you so much Katlyn, but don't worry about it, I think all Leon needs is, is to see a Pokémon Center." Alexis giggled, giving Katlyn a one-armed hug back.
Katlyn smiled "Already set for you, Baby just won her battle and got pretty beat up too, c'mon there's one on site, I'll take you there." Alexis petted Baby and congratulated her as she followed Katlyn to the Pokémon Center and once Leon had been fully healed up the two trainers parted ways, promising that they would probably meet again.
OOC:// This was written because I wanted to level Leon up, obviously, but I tried to be as creative as I could, thus why I made Leon use scratch on the water, if this is a forfeit, please tell me and I will fix it up. =]
Also, I'd like to keep this thread open incase I wanted to train anymore in the future, if that's okay.
