"What about Treetail? I mean, when you evolve, it'll make sense! Sorta." Katy's new (and currently unnamed) Treecko shook his head. <I don't think Treetail fits me well enough,> the shiny Pokemon replied from his position on Katy's shoulder. Since the trio had left A.B. Labs, they had been flinging names for their new friend back and forth on their way down Route 1; so far, none of them had received a unanimous vote. "Yeah, me neither," Katy said nonchalantly. "How 'bout... ooh, how 'bout Reptain? I think it's German or something." <What does it mean?> Katy was silent for a moment, then, "...I forgot." Arjay and the Treecko both facepalmed. "Still, what do you think? Like it?" Katy asked. Treecko thought about it for a moment, then nodded. <Yeah, I suppose I do. I'd still like to know what it means, though,> he said jokingly. "Great! Now that that's out of the way, I'd like to introduce you to someone!" Katy pulled out another Pokeball. Reptain watched with some amount of dread as Arjay groaned at the sight of it. Tossing it into the air, the red and white sphere opened up, releasing a flash of light that formed into a Pokemon that looked quite a bit like a blue Sandslash. <Yo. I'm Kuzon. Nice to meet ya.> The Sandshell struck a pose, crossing his arms and looking like he was the coolest thing in the world. Until Arjay whacked him on the head, that is. <You're gonna make him think you're a psycho, you dolt,> he said, watching Kuzon rub his head. <You missed the covered part, runt,> Kuzon said, glaring at the raccoon Pokemon. <I wasn't aiming for it, moron,> Arjay retorted, crossing his arms. "OOOOkaaaayyy, stop it, guys," Katy interjected, moving between the two. She glanced at Reptain out of the corner of her eye. "Sorry Reptain, I didn't think he'd be in such a bad mood," she apologized. <Th-that's okay,> Reptain muttered, caught slightly off guard. It would take him a while to get used to his new Trainer and her, ahem, interesting Pokemon, it seemed. He sighed, smiling wryly, as he tried to block out Arjay and Kuzon's arguing as the group continued on the trail. [/blockquote] ((Reptain actually means "Grovyle" in German. At least I think it does... (It says so on Psypokes, so I'm going with it.) Anyway, hopefully THIS thread won't be quite as crappy as Sora's Route 1 thread was. -_- Looking back at it just makes me want to delete the whole thing. Since I'm a bit better roleplayer now (at least I hope I am), hopefully I won't have that problem here.))

All along the route, there was nothing but sounds of Pokémon playing and in general enjoying the warm summer weather to suggest that anything actually lived here. This route was well known for housing pretty much every sort of Pokémon, but it seemed that for now Arjay and Kuzon's arguing was keeping them away. If only the two would just shut it for a moment, maybe something would decide that perhaps the group might be good to befriend or fight. Still, no such thing was happening for now, at least.
However, there was a Pokémon that was a little interested. Moving about, it was hearing the arguing with great annoyance. There it was, enjoying itself, trying to relax, when suddenly all it could hear was two Pokémon arguing over such pointless things. Where was the point in arguing about those issues, anyway? It certainly couldn't see any. Eventually it grew so annoyed at the meaningless yells that it just lost control and-
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPP!!!
A bright yellow light filled the group's vision, along with a sizzling noise before a very loud sound like thunder rumbling overhead in explosion form. The culpit was standing- no, hovering- in front of Katy, Reptian, Arjay and Kuzon, looking expressionless. It was hard for a Magnemite to have an expression, after all. ~Will you two just SHUT UP!~
it yelled at Arjay and Kuzon. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPP!!!
Everyone (Kuzon included) shrieked in surprise as the bright light appeared out of nowhere, accompanied by a sizzling noise followed by rumbling thunder.
When the light died away, the cause of the flash was hovering in front of them.
<Will you two just SHUT UP!> the silver Pokemon yelled. "Oh, cool! A Magnemite!" Katy exclaimed, grinning. <I'm gonna KILL that thing!> Kuzon roared. Reptain had leaped off Katy's shoulder and was assisting Arjay in holding the infuriated Sandshell back. <Lemme at 'im, lemme at 'im! You traitors, let me go!> Kuzon protested, trying to pry them off. Katy's eyes narrowed. "Okay, THAT'S IT! Kuzon, return!" She pulled out his Pokeball and pressed the button, dragging the irate Pokemon back inside. She glared at the ball in her hand. "You're not coming out for a while, mister. Why'd he have to be in such a bad mood today?" she muttered. <His "coolness" got insulted, remember?> Arjay sneered. "You're going back in your ball too if you keep that up, mister," Katy lectured him, a mock serious expression on her face. It took her a moment to remember that the Magnemite was still floating there, probably becoming even more frustrated at being ignored, intentionally or not. The young girl instantly whirled around and faced it. "I'm sorry, mister Magnemite, if we were bothering you," she said sincerely. <Even though it was Kuzon's fault,> Arjay muttered mutinously. Reptain rolled his eyes and whacked him on the head, deciding to remain silent. The Butterfree 'morph ignored her Pokemon's comment and asked, "Did you want to battle or something? Reptain, you up to a battle if he says yes?" <Sure, I suppose so,> he replied, nodding. <It'll be hard fighting a Steel-type this early, though, so it'll make a nice challenge.> [/blockquote] ((When will Katy encounter the male Azelf (since that's what I've decided on)? This route, or the next?))

ooc// Maybe, I guess I'll just have to see when the time is right.
ic// Magnemite began making an annoyed metallic buzzing sound as the two Pokémon began fighting again. Clearly the Pokémon wasn't one for anything like this, being more of a practical Pokémon. It hummed away angrily, single eye narrowing. The girl then apologized, and the Steel and Electric type became just a little bit quieter. It bobbed up and down a little in a nod, saying ~Yeah, I guess I could fight you. Perhaps it would set an example to you other Pokémon about how to behave and fight nicely, rather than making some stupid mindless bickering. Better watch out, er... Reptian.~
it would have smiled at the Treecko had it had a mouth. The low hum grew louder, until became almost painful to hear. A horrible metallic screeching, as if someone was dragging fifty metal nails down fifty metal blackboards. The aim of this was to lower Reptian's special defense stat, and hopefully that had worked. The Mangemite then considered using a Tackle, but decided against it, using Thundershock instead- this move was called under Special, meaning the lowered stat would be effected by it. With any luck, things would run smoothly and Reptain would feel an extra-painful zap from the magnet Pokémon.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
