Congradulations! A pokemon joined your team: #016- Shiny Pidgey (f) Level: 9 Moves: Tackle, Sand Attack, Gust #016- Shiny Pidgey (f) Level: 9 Moves: Tackle, Sand Attack, Gust Akemi also gained two levels! The two nidoran walked over, keeping close enough together that their flanks brushed against each other. ~If you'd like, we can guide you back to the path. It wouldn't do for you to get lost out here. We'd also like to give you something from our stash... as a thank you for helping us.~ While Juliet turned to go back the way they had come, Romeo dashed off into the grass to retrive the prize.

Kiku held the Pokeball in the palm of her small hand and smiled, the yellow rings on her body glowing even bright than normal. When the two Nidoran approached, Kiku grinned sheepishly and rubbed the back of her head with her free hand."That's so sweet of you guys." She would feel guilty receiving a gift from two wild Nidoran, but in situations like this, the gift, even if refused out of a Guilty sort of kindness, was usually given anyways."But... It's really okay..." She managed to mutter, with a stifled laugh at the end.
She followed behind Juliet, and looked at the Pokeball in her hand once more.A new friend was in there. She pressed the button quickly, and in a red flash, the flapping form of the female Pidgey appeared. Kiku giggled happily as the Pidgey perched upon her head. "I think I'll call you Maila...? Do you like it...? Or would something else be better? Akemi giggled, Maila quickly joining in. < Of course I love the name! It's beautiful! Maila! Has a nice ring to it!>
Maila chirped loudly and proudly, treating the name as if it were a grand title bestowed upon her. She puffed out her feathery chest happily, and turned her head from side to side, watching as they walked through the familiar forest. Kiku smiled, fastened Maila's empty Pokeball in her belt, next to Akemi's and looked forward, and felt Akemi's tail brush against her leg. Kiku looked down and smiled, lowering one of her hands so the little eevee could hop up, and be pulled into her arms. Kiku hugged the eevee tight, ruffling the fur on the top of her head. "You did amazing out there Akemi! You're getting much stronger now! Kiku said gleefully, Akemi stifling a laugh, a somewhat evil laugh, not in the sense of evil, but in the sense of 'Oh, yes! I am good, and don't you forget it.' Kiku turned her eyes back towards the path on which she followed Juliet.[/blockquote]

It wasn't long until they were back at the path. Romeo was waiting for them, a somewhat mauled but still edible Revive held gently in his jaws. When he spotted Kiku he pranced over and dropped the item at her feet. ~You can have this. It's not as shiny as some other things we've collected, but the trainer that dropped it was really mad he lost it so it must be valuble. Thank you again for your help.~ With a flick of their tails, the two Nidoran dissappeared back into the grass.
A masculine chuckle filled the air. Standing on the path was a man dressed for lab work, his white coat covered in grass stains and mud spots. His eyes were hidden behind thick, round glasses that reflected the sunlight. "Hello little lady." He called, striding forward. "Fine day is it not? I've been watching you for a bit, and I have a proposition for you. I represent a specialized club of pokemon researchers who are looking for able bodied trainers to employ. Don't worry, the task isn't hard or time consuming. You just continue on your journey, and if you hear of any... legendary pokemon, contact us so we can send out some scientists to, uh, study the habitat etc." He smiled at her. "You would be compensated for your time, of course."

Kiku's face lightened up as Romeo dropped a revive at her feet. "Oh wow! Thank you so much! This means a lot to all of us!" Kiku called out to the Nidoran as they left. Akemi jumped out of her trainers arms and rolled the revive into the center of her palm, giving it a curious sniff. She somewhat cringed at it's slightly damaged state, but liked it regardless. She squealed out her own Thanks when Kiku had finished.
Akemi held the revive up to Kiku, and the Pokemorph promptly received it, and placed it in her bag. She had begun to close the bag, but a chuckle froze her, midway the closing. She snapped her head towards the person, and heard the feet of Akemi shuffle to stand behind her. Maila gave a squawk, and pulled her wings in front of her chest, buried her beak into her wings, and shuffled to stand halfway hidden behind Kiku's ear.
As the man spoke, Kiku's red eyes narrowed, the flame of joy and passion being smothered once more by a flame of rage. Shady characters, and shady lab characters alike were something Kiku had a great distaste of. With rumors floating around about Team Chaos, this made things appear even worse."Yeah right! As if I'd help out a Shady character like yourself, and your shady organization! How dare you try to manipulate trainers to find legendaries... And what do you plan to do after that? Creepy lab experiments I suppose..."
Kiku said with an angry and unpleasant tone tinting her voice. She crossed her arms across the chest, and continued to stare at the man with her red eyes, narrowed angrily and menacingly.[/blockquote]

The man threw up his hands in self-defense at her hostile tone. "No need to get violent, miss. It's your missed opportunity. But let me say, you're passing up a huge chance for success." His words were a little menacing, as if they contained a veiled threat. "But it is your decision." He glanced nervously down at Akemi and took a couple steps backward. With another rather sinister smile, he turned his back and took off into the tall grass, moving swiftly toward the horizon.

Kiku lowered her hands to her side and let out a short sigh. Akemi padded forward, and titled her head up towards Kiku. Maila fluttered down from the top of Kiku's head, to perch on Akemi's back, and also join in staring up at the Trainer. Kiku's eyes closed for a moment, as she took in a deep breathe, then opened her eyes. She spotted the two Pokemon watching her and giggled."What is it you are staring at? Is something wrong with me?"
Kiku barely managed to say through her laughs. Why was she laughing? Because the way they stared at her, with their round wondering eyes was just to cute... Both Maila and Akemi started laughing as well. <Kiku, you are some kind of starnge! You know that?>Maila chirped out through her tiny laughter. After a few moments, the trio composed themselves, and brushed away their strange bouts of laughter. Kiku and Akemi walked side by side, while Maila sat perched upon the back of the Eevee, chattering excitedly. <So, are we heading to the next town~? ARe we going to encounter more pokemon on the path? I really hope we do, I wanna fight and learn, and show my stuff so I can be better than my brother one day! Can we meet more pokemon? Huh-huh?> Kiku smiled, and shrugged. "Maybe we will, maybe we won't, but sure enough, soon you'll be able to fight and be stronger than your brother!"[/blockquote]

((*jumps in*))
Unseen by Kiku and her Pokémon, a strange little stalker had been lurking about. It had a mischievous grin on its tiny face. The creature emitted an eerie cyan glow, and in the dark anyone could probably spot it from a mile away. However, it was the middle of the day, and Route One happened to be very open and bright. Thus, a nearby forest provided a perfect hiding spot in daylight. This particular creature hid itself behind a bush on the very edge of the woods…
Slowly, but surely, it hovered away from the bush, drawing closer and closer to the Umbreon-girl and her pair of Pokémon from behind. It moved silently, not needing to touch the ground or rustle the grass. Just as it snuck up behind its victims, ready to frighten them half to death, a loud crashing noise split the air. The electrical ghost shuddered, startled (somewhat ironically). It stared in the direction of the woods, noticing that someone (or something) had crashed haphazardly into the same exact bush it had been hiding behind.
“Owwww,” Sody murmured, struggling against leaves and branches in a frantic attempt to get back up. It probably took him about thirty seconds, but he finally managed the feat. The first thing he saw when his head rose was the little ghost. “Pepsi! Why’d you run off like that--” He stopped in mid-sentence when he noticed the girl standing there.
“Wa-Wa-Wait. Who are you…?” For five years Sody had tried to avoid being around people, so this was somewhat awkward. How could he possibly hide his purple ears or pawlike freak-hands now? He blinked. Hey… Are those Umbreon-ears? And a tail?
“You’re a Pokémorph, too?” Sody asked (slightly louder than necessary), a bit excited. His ears flicked up in interest. He hadn’t met another Pokémorph, but he’d always wanted to meet someone who might understand his predicament. ‘Pepsi’ was now hovering just above the girl’s Eevee, smiling in a friendly manner.

Kiku and her two Pokemon hadn't been expecting the Rotom that was creeping up on them, nor that his 'trainer' was tailing behind the Rotom. The trio did jump in fright as a loud crash noise. Kiku spun around, Akemi turning on her paws only a moment after Kiku, Maila almost falling off the Eevee's back.
Kiku let out a small sigh when she saw the head pop up from the bush after a moment of so. She had feared it was another creep like the man who had fled just a few moments earlier... Well, this stranger could be a creep too, but his appearance didn't seem to 'creep-ish.'He had the ears of a Delcatty, which meant he was a Pokemorph! He couldn't be all to bad, could he? He almost seemed scared when he spotted Kiku and her pokemon, which did help to put her small fears at ease. She was about to introduce herself, but the boy posed a question in a rather loud tone.
Kiku gave a somewhat nervous laugh, and couldn't help but think he was a rather...odd one."I'm... Kiku. And as you guessed, yes a Pokemorph! And... uh, What's your name?"
Kiku asked. She wasn't one for much conversation, or great at communicating, so she did come across as somewhat shy and nervous. She pulled her Umbreon ears back, a bad habit of hers anytime she was forced to talk to a stranger. Akemi looked up at the Rotom as he hovered above her with a friendly smile. Akemi returned the smile, for a moment. She then stuck her tongue out at the Ghost Pokemon, in her usual mocking freindliness.[/blockquote]

“My name?” asked Sody, pausing for a moment. “Ah, yes. I am the amazing Solomonrhapsodyrichards.” He said his full name as fast as he possibly could without getting his tongue tied (which was actually pretty darn fast), then grinned. “… But you can just call me Sody.”
It was right about now that the Delcatty ‘Morph realized he was still standing in the bush. Eyes wide, he quickly leapt away from it and brushed the leaves and twigs from his baggy jeans. Then he sprinted over to Kiku (not without nearly falling over in the process).
“’Tis a pleasure to meet you, Kiku!”
Pepsi, of course, was now zipping around Akemi in circles.

A look of complete confusion came over Kiku's face as the Strange Morph called out his very long and confusing name very quickly. She blinked her large red eyes a few times, trying to comprehend what he had just said... Heck, she hadn't even caught the first letter to his name!
She let out a sight of relief when he said a much simpler nickname to call him by, Sody. It was four letters, two syllables, and wasn't the combination of what sounded like several words. She looked towards his Rotom, who was floating around Akemi and let out a little laugh. Distracted by the Pokemon, she had missed Sody leaping out of the Bush and running over to the small group. Her focus was placed back on Sody only when he spoke up.
Kiku smiled friendly and extended one hand for a handshake, another gesture her Mom had taught her to always do when meeting a kind or strange individual."And it's a pleasure to meet you too, Sody. You seem to be a very strange, but kind person!" Yes, it may have not been the nicest thing to say, but she spoke only the truth. Was strange all to bad? Kiku saw strange as a good thing!
Akemi tried to follow the Rotom by spinning around, but that proved to fail She was unable to spin at the speed in which he could Zip. Maila fluttered off the back of the Eevee, watching the Rotom with a rather dizzied expression on her face.<"Whoa! You're fasstttt!"> Maila chirped to the Rotom.

Two Pokémon watched the two Pokémorphs. They didn't know the other was there, for the two Pokémon had never met or set eyes upon one another, but their thoughts were the same; Friends. I wish I had friends. They sighed, wondering if it were really that easy. This Sody person had simply walked up to this Kiku person and said hi, and now they were friends! Why was it always so difficult for them to make friends?
The first Pokémon decided that if Sody could step out and say hi to Kiku, then maybe it would have a friend too. The orange fox walked nervously out in the open, heading towards the trainer. The Vulpix had a scar across one eye, and she seemed incredibly scared. ~H-hello, trainer. I-I-I'm Vulpix. Please don't hurt me!~ she whimpered.
Meanwhile, the second Pokémon approached Sody. She felt that he seemed a friendly guy, and so could easily make friends. The Skitty grinned, happy as she saw what he was; a Delcatty 'morph! She laughed and ran to him, pawing his feet. ~You look like an evolved Skitty.~ Skitty told him.

(-Glomps Birdy- Thank you for the reply D: Sooo sorry for the late response and Inactivness!)
Kiku perked her Pokemorph ears up at the sound of approaching paw steps. She lowered her hand and turned her head to spot a small orange fox timidly approach. From the look on it's face, she seemed to be stepping out of her comfort zone. She was definitely a shy one. But she managed to whimper out a greeting. The young girl grinned encouragingly at the Vulpix, and knelt down slowly, so she her taller height was diminished, and a friendly vibe was given.
Making sure not to startle the vulpix, she raised a hand slowly, and rubbed the vulpix behind her ear. "Hello Vulpix!" Kiku squeaked out happily. " Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you... No one here will..." Kiku told her encouragingly. Though, seeing as there was a scar over the Vulpix's eye, it was obvious that she may have had a traumatic past.
Akemi turned to face the newcomers as well, and bounded over the the vulpix enthusiastically, giving the fox Pokemon a wide grin. <Hi Vulpix! Don't worry about anyone here, none of us will hurt you!>

"Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you... No one here will..."
At these reassuring words, the Vulpix relaxed slightly; even smiling a bit when her ear was rubbed. But the little fox tensed up again when Akemi came over, backing up slightly.
<H-hi,> the Vulpix murmured, not thinking of anything else to say. She looked at the ground. It was quite obvious the vulpine was uncomfortable around humans. Maybe a bad experience with a past trainer had caused this?
But, the Vulpix did want friends. She couldn't shy away from human contact forever, she reasoned. Picking up her courage, she looked back up and asked in a shaky voice, <D-do you want to be m-my friend? I-I don't have any, so...> The fox trailed off. What if this trainer didn't want to be her friend? The little Vulpix's ears drooped, and she looked up at the Pokemorph with hopeful eyes.
What would Kiku do?

Akemi tilted her head curiously, and pulled her large ears back. Had she scared the little Vulpix? The eevee never thought of herself as intimidating. Vulpix seemed to like Kiku... Maybe the approach was just to quick and surprising. Akemi mentally shrugged the thought off, and remained where her four paws were planted. She continued to smile in a friendly manner at the timid Vulpix.
Kiku pulled her hand back when the orange fox recoiled back. Once again, Kiku's attention was drawn to the scar across her eye. The timid personality that she emitted must have had something to do with the scar. Her thoughts began to wander, but was pulled back to reality when Vulpix spoke up in a shaky voice.
"D-do you want to be m-my friend?"
Kiku blinked her dark red eyes in surprise, but her expression quickly became that of a friendly smile. " Of course! Any pokemon as sweet as you would be a joy to call a friend!" Maila and Akemi both nodded eagerly, smiling at the vulpix. A new friend was always a great thing, and the little Vulpix seemed to be friendly and kind. What was not to love about her? The shy disposition gave them all the urge to hug her and tell her that everything would be okay...

The Vulpix brightened noticeably when Kiku replied. Swishing her six tails happily, the little fox gave a soft smile. She trotted around Kiku, saying <Friends, friends!> over and over. Vulpix was happy now. She had a friend! Her first friend! Then she thought about what it would be like to have more friends. More friends would surely be fun! the Vulpix reasoned, working herself into a hyper (for her, anyway) state.
She turned to the Pidgey and Eevee next to the trainer and asked, shyly, <Will, will you be my friends, too?> She sure hoped they would. And since they were Kiku's friends, all four of them would be friends! Vulpix smiled softly again, awaiting the two Pokemon's replies.
