A little golden firery lizard opened his mouth wide, yawning. His blazing tail was draped around the neck of a young girl, swaying lazily to and fro in a gentle motion. His paws rested over his trainer's shoulder. The shiny Charmander was in a very comfortable and relaxed position, draped around his trainer's neck. He sighed.
Sulteron smiled. She and Fairo, the Charmander and her very first and only Pokémon who was presently around her neck, were getting along just fine. From what she had heard, Charmander were disobeying, but this one seemed to be pleasant and fun-loving, energetic. She didn't know what he was like in a battle yet, but it wouldn't be long until they came across a Pokémon, right? She tickled Fairo under the chin. "You know, life won't always be this easy. Pretty soon we'll run into a wild Pokémon, and then the training begins. Are you sure you don't want to get ready?" she asked him.
Fairo waved a paw matter-of-factly. ~When the time comes, I'll fight. But there's a time for play, a time for training and a time for rest. At the moment, I'm feeling like resting, 'kay?~ he declared, looking at her with big, innocent blue eyes. Sulteron couldn't say no to that face, he knew. No-one could, he was just too cute. And when he evolved, he would be just too tough. Oh, life was good. He smiled sweetly, showing his row of little pointed teeth.
Sulteron smiled back, glad, at least, that her first Pokémon didn't hate her or anything. She looked away from him again, surveying the landscape for the umpteenth time. There had to be some sort of wild Pokémon around here, right? She had heard that the majority of Pokémon on this Route had escaped or been released from the Laboratory she recieved Fairo from, so perhaps she would see the Eevee, Chikorita or Cyndaquil or something she had wanted but been unable to obtain earlier. "Fairo, keep your eyes and ears peeled for anything that we could catch, please." she asked. The lizard nodded, looking with her. What would they find?

In the tall grass nearby, several Tailow were darting at something hidden in the green plants. Unaware of the trainer and her pokemon, they were slowly circling closer, their shrill cries piercing the air. At last they came to the edge of the path. A battered looking Ralts tried to charge across the path, only to trip and fall on her face. The Tailow swooped down on the psychic type, jeering. ~Hey little girl, where's your mom? Don't wanna play with the tough guys? Here's what you get for bothering the Tailow Trio!~ They hopped about, neatly dodging the weak Confusion attack the Ralts used and taunting her. They seemed oblivious to Sulteron and Fairo.

Sulteron and Fairo exchanged glances. The Tailow Trio? Who did they think they were, bullying that poor Ralts! She and Fairo would have to drive them off. How to do that... she supposed she could fight them, of course. But three against one? It didn't seem very fair. She would have to get help, but before that, she needed to save Ralts from further harm. She could always just run in, yelling, but that wouldn't exactly do much and she and Fairo could get seriously hurt. She sighed.
Fairo had an idea. It was a little crazy, but he still had one. He wasn't sure whether or not Sulteron would allow him to do it, though, so it was up to him to do this. The Charmander, much to Sulteron's surprise, stood up on her shoulder, then sprang to the ground, using the momentum to run faster. Standing in a spot opposite Ralts, he shouted with all his might at the Tailow. ~OI! BIRD-BRAINS! OVER HERE!~ he yelled, nodding to Sulteron to show she should run.
Sulteron was hesitant to leave Fairo in easy access of the angry birds, but she saw that the moment she neared Ralts, he darted back to her. Sulteron held Ralts close to her, telling the poor Pokémon soothing words like 'it'll be all right' and so on. Then, still holding her protectively, the Espeon Pokémorph searched her body for wounds and mind for the source of pain. Emotional, or psysical? Probably both, knowing bullies. Fairo growled defensively at the Tailow. Ralts was pretty cute, and he wanted her to be just fine.
Sulteron looked at him. ~Is Ralts OK?~ was Fairo's immediete response. Sulteron shrugged, then whispered something to him. "I'm going to call for help. We're going to need to get rid of these Tailow, and so we need another Pokémon to help us out here." she said, wondering what Pokémon would come. Perhaps an Electric type; that would be helpfull. Maybe one of the starter options, because then it would understand battling a little better. She reached out with her mind for these Pokémon, not wanting to alert the Tailow of her call. ~Come... Please, I need your help. There are three Tailow, and they have hurt a poor Ralts. I can't fight them off by myself, I need your help.~ she called out for anything to hear. One Pokémon, maybe even two, would hopefully come... she wondered what type they would be.

While the Tailow hadn't seen Sulteron, they sure heard Fairo. ~Bird-brains?!~ The one that seemed to be the leader screeched, outraged. ~I'll show you bird-brains you lizard-livered pest.~ He signaled to the other two and swooped down on the yellow Charmander, harrying but not attacking. The other male hesitated, watching Sulteron warily as she scooped up Ralts. He apparently did not like his chances, for instead of helping his friends attack Fairo, he flew off in the other direction. Meanwhile, a passing pokemon had heard Sulteron's plea. Skipping to her side, a motherly Roselia peered at the injured Ralts. ~Oh, the poor little dear. I will help you, trainer.Ralts seemed to realize she was safe. She whimpered and snuggled against Sulteron, hiding her little green head from the Tailow, who were taking positions for a two-on-two battle. ~You may have the first move.~ The male called mockingly. Roselia temporarily joined your team! Lvl 12 Moves: Absorb, Growth, Poison Sting, Stun Spore

Fairo watched as the Tailow flitted around him, snapping at them to annoy them a little. He was pleased that there was now only two of them, but he was still annoyed by them. He tried not to show this. They could do with being separated, or perhaps having a trainer or something to teach them some manners. At any rate, the Charmander had taken an instant dislike to them. He gave one a good swipe for good measure, grinning. ~Lizard-livered pest? What kind on an insult is that? Of course I have the liver of a lizard, I am a lizard! Honestly, are you really that stupid?~ he said, humour in his eyes as he made their latest insult backfire.
Sulteron was glad that Ralts felt safe. She slowly stood up, taking care not to jog Ralts or anything, as a Roselia joined her. "Ew, Roselia." she muttered. She doubted anyone would have been able to hear her, not even Ralts. Fairo, however, who had moved to stand by her side, did. ~Why?~ He asked. Sulteron didn't want to upset anyone, so she used telepathy to give him and answer. +I like Pokémon with good movesets, and Roselia are more for show. I think it's what's on the inside that counts, in the end, and Roselia seems nice...+ she shrugged.
Well, she supposed that she would be able to give Roselia orders since she had temporarily joined her. Fairo snarled, baring his long fangs at the Tailow. Sulteron felt a surge of adrenalin, pride and excitement. It was her first battle, and Fairo looked tough! He might actually win this! "Go on, Fairo! Use Scratch! Roselia, um... Poison Sting? I think Roselia learn that," she called, not entirely sure about the moves of her new flowery friend.
Fairo growled, springing high into the air. He used branches and rock to gain height in his jumps, until he was the same height at Tailow. He then went a little higher, leaping off to use Scratch. If he could, he would hold onto Tailow, enabling him to stay high.

The male Tailow Fairo had aimed for thought he would be clever and try to throw the charmander off guard by using a quick attack. He pulled his wings to his side and swooped toward the yellow lizard, screeching his rage at the new insult. What the little bird didn't realize is that his move would bring him right into Fairo's clutches. He tried to back-wing, but it was too late. He felt claws rake along his sides, dislodging a few loose feathers. He tried to shake Fairo loose, but the lizard was cursed strong.
Back on the ground, the female Tailow was battling Roselia. The poison sting attack had hurt, and the mildly vain bird was not looking forward to pulling tiny stingers out later. She dropped down to land on the ground a few steps from the grass type, letting out a Growl attack to try and lower her attack.

Fairo snarled, gripping tight to the small bird as he struggled to shake the Charmander off. He smiled, digging in his claws a little deeper than necessary to stay on, knowing he was hindering the Tailow. Meanwhile, Roselia below felt a shiver go down her spine as the chilling and intimidating but cute somehow Growl attack allowed her Attack stat to slip gently through her rose-laden hands. The Grass type snarled, rustling her arms agressively.
Sulteron smiled, punching the air as Fairo's daring tactic worked. Roselia was doing well, too; Grass types were naturally weak against Flying types. This also meant that Roselia's Absorb attack wouldn't work as well, either. Sulteron wouldn't use this as an attack then, but more of a way to heal Roselia if she was too badly hurt. Well, it wouldn't hurt to even the odds a little, now, would it? Or, well, tip them in her favour, anyway. "Roselia! Use Stun Spore! Fairo, use Scratch! Also, try to get onto Tailow's back, it'll be easier to stay on!" she called.
Roselia twirled, her roses gaining a frosting of light yellow powder. She pushed them towards the female Tailow, the paralysing powder darting swiftly through the air towards her. One sniff of that stuff, and Tailow would be slower and every now and then unable to move. Fairo was beaten painfully by the male Tailow's madly flapping wings, wincing as he managed to cling tight to the bird's back. The Charmander then drew his claws and made to rake them along the swallow's side.

The female Tailow tried to dodge the stun spore, thinking it was physical contact, not air, that triggered the effect. The poor little bird just wasn't very smart on her own, more of a groupie than a true brawler. She got a good snuff of Roselia's attack and sneezed, feeling her muscles tense up. She managed to flap weakly a couple of times before paralysis set in. She was at Sulteron's mercy now.
The male Tailow was trying his best to dislodge Fairo. Having the fire type on his back was a pain, not only due to his vicious scratch attacks but also because he was out of pecking range. Unable to attack Fairo directly, the Tailow used Focus Energy, locking his wings and practically falling toward the ground at a dangerous speed, hoping to encourage Fairo to jump off.

Fairo wailed, screaming in fear as the ground began to rush towards him. Yikes! This was scary, scary, scary! Maybe this battling stuff wasn't as good as he had first thought... no. He would be loyal to his trainer. Still shaking in fear, the firery lizard bit his lip nervously as he clung on to the feathers beside him for dear life. Roselia below him was having an easier time. She had her arms folded, not needing to dodge the unable Tailow, waiting to see what to do next.
Sulteron smiled. Although Fario would certainly be hurt by the fall, if he managed to keep at it and not freak out and jump off, Tailow would be hurt too. Hey! She could use this to her advantage and hurt both the Tailow! "Fairo, hold on there! Try to force Tailow to collide with the female! Roselia, use Poison Sting to push Tailow in the right direction!" she called, absent-mindedly stroking the Ralts.
Fairo heard his trainer, but didn't dare move. Well... he had to. Roselia was using Poison Sting, and she was a wild Pokémon! He moaned, catching sight of the temporarily immobile female and pulling at Tailow's feathers, trying to tug him to meet the female when he reached the ground. He couldn't even squeeze his eyes shut to avoid them being hurt, for otherwise he might fail... he knew this attack would probably damage him a lot. A lot more than any attack he'd ever felt, but it was for a good cause; his trainer.

The immobile female was pressured by Roselia's attack, moving just as planned. She had thought their group was tough, but now she was sure she didn't like being on the losing side.
The male Tailow just kept on getting angrier. Fairo's tugging on his feathers was painful! He tried looping upside down, barrel rolling, all of his aerial tricks to get his opponent to let go. They flew dangerously close to Sulteron as the Tailow turned on his tail, not really watching where he was flying. They skimmed past Roselia and crashed into the other Tailow.
The male went tumbling, rolling over several times. At last he stopped moving, a bundle of dirty and ragged feathers. The female was sent sprawling off to the right. She wasn't hurt as bad as her friend, but her will to fight was gone. Recovering from the strange attack, she tried to hop into the tall grass and take cover.
The male finally climbed to his feet, breathing raggedly. ~You can't beat me. I won't give up!~ He called, trying to muster up a peck attack.
He was interrupted by the terrified scream of Ralts. She pointed upward, her little finger trembling as the third Tailow returned, accompanied by a Swellow. Ralts wiggled and squirmed in Sulteron's grip, trying to get down and run for cover. The Swellow turned her wings and glided down to the middle of the battle, landing and turning to face the trainer.
Instead of reassuring the Tailow, the appearance of the Swellow made him cower. He hung his head and tried to hide, but he couldn't avoid his mother as she swung her wing down and gave him a solid thwack. ~You naughty children! I told you to stay near our tree. Not only did you disobey me, but you got involved in a battle. I told you not to bother the humans.~ She gave him another sound spank before turning back to Sulteron. She bobbed her head in acknowledgment of the girl. ~Please excuse my children. I hope they did not bother you too much.~ She glared at the female who was slinking guiltily to stand behind her. ~They needed a good lashing to remind them of their place.~ She paused for a moment, looking Sulteron up and down in a critical fashion. ~Would you like to take one of them with you? Maybe you could teach them better manners... and obedience.~

ooc// Sorry about the short post, I have to go to bed in like five minutes or I'm dead!
ic// Sulteron raised an eyebrow in surprise, holding tight to Ralts as the Swellow appeared. She didn't want Ralts to run off and get hurt again, especially not in this weak state. Fairo brushed himself down, padding over to her side again. He snorted, smiling as he saw that the bullies could easily back down to anyone's superior... their mother. He snickered silently.
Sulteron and Fairo both felt clear surprise as Swellow actually offered to let Sulteron take one of the not-so-young-any-more children. Of course, Sulteron knew that these Tailow were clearly energetic and advernturous, none of them the most intelligent of Pokémon but all fairly determined, and with practice, they could be taught to be good, loyal partners. Sulteron nodded eargerly. "Yes, I'd love to educate one of your children! Hey, someday, I bet you I return after teaching him or her Fly!" she grinned, flicking a Pokéball at the Tailow at random. It was making for the female who had been paralysed earlier.

(It's fine Birdy. You posts are usually longer than mine are!)
Swellow nodded at Sulteron, apparently please. She rounded on her Tailow. ~Whoever she choses behave. You have to listen to her if you want to enjoy yourself.~ The little flock of birds watched as the pokeball rolled toward the female tailow and bumped against her leg. She dissappeared in a flash of red light. The ball on the ground rocked once, then was still. Swellow heaved her shoulders in a pleased sigh. ~Thank you, trainer. Maybe we shall meet again someday.~ With that, she shooed the two remaining Tailow into the air, guiding them as they flew away.
Roselia also seemed pleased with herself. ~Well, that was kind of fun. What will you do with Ralts? I know of a couple of Kirlia who might be willing to look after her. I could take her to them, if you'd like.~ Ralts looked up at the mention of her name. She turned to Sulteron, completely trusting. ~Th-thank you for saving me.~

ooc// I can easily get the other stats, but what level is Taillow on?
ic// Sulteron smiled, nodding in respect to the Swellow. Fairo dashed over, gripped the newly occupied Pokéball in his teeth, and hurried back over, a huge smile on his face. This was the first Pokémon he and Sulteron had caught together! The first Pokémon Sulteron had ever caught! Now their team was made up of a shiny Charmander, Tailow, and the two strange Eggs she had obtained for telling people to travel to Airore. He grinned, tail swaying from side to side. Not exactly wagging, but close enough.
Sulteron looked at Roselia, listening. She then looked down at Ralts, somewhat surprised that she was speaking. Hm, what to do about the Ralts. Sulteron did not know what these Kirlia were like, and whether or not Ralts would like them. In the end, she supposed it ought to be Ralt's descition as to whom she went with. "Ralts, what would you like to do?" she asked her, feeling that if it were her in this position, she would have liked some say in where she spent the next part of her life.

(Oops, sorry I forgot to post that.) Congradulations! You caught Tailow! #276- Tailow Female Lvl 8 Moves: Peck, Growl, Focus Energy, Quick Attack #276- Tailow Female Lvl 8 Moves: Peck, Growl, Focus Energy, Quick Attack Ralts hesitated. She really liked Sulteron, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to travel the region with a human. ~I think I'll go with Roselia, please.~ She said. ~I'd like to meet the Kirlia.~ It seemed that she was recovering from her run in with the Tailow. Her tone of voice was more confident, and her body had relaxed in Sulteron's arms. ~Thank you again for your help.~

Sulteron nodded, hugging the Ralts back. "You're welcome, Ralts. I hope you have lots of fun with the Kirlia." she said her fond farewell, feeling somewhat said, yet pleased that Ralts would be living among her own kind. Fairo nodded respectively to both Ralts and Roselia, a more formal goodbye. The two of them watched as the Pokémon's backs disappeared from view as they walked away for good. Sulteron sighed, turning to Fairo. "Well, that was interesting. At least we caught this Tailow." she grinned, tossing the Pokéball from one hand to the other.
The lizard sighed. ~Yeah. Gimme a moment, I'm just gonna take a little rest after Tailow. Do you mind if I stay out my Pokéball? I don't really like it in there.~ he asked. Sulteron nodded, and he grinned, lying down on a soft mossy rock and sinking into a sleep. When he woke up, Sulteron knew he would be refreshed, but until then, she needed to make sure he was fine while he slept. She wished she had another Pokémon that wasn't really weak... well, if something came along, she would just have to wake Fairo up and use a Potion on him if needed.
As Fairo began to snore, aside from being mildly amused, Sulteron descided to take out her two Pokémon Eggs. She stared at them, held them close, and examined them. She had only been given them a few days ago, and it seemed that there were no cracks at all running along their surfaces. Nothing. One of them was blue, with a funny black marking. Every now and then, it emitted an aura surprising to Sulteron, for she felt that she could almost sense the cub inside through it. So, this egg was probably that of a Psychic type. But what Psychic type was blue, or had a black mark like that anywhere on it's body? And the other one. It was brown, and a paler shade of brown, but it had a somewhat silvery tint to it and emitted several little sparkles which faded into nothingness when it moved, not that she would dare shake it.
Every now and them, Sulteron felt both of the eggs move a little. There were still no cracks, but the Pokémon inside was moving for whatever reason. She took both the eggs and, while Fairo was still alseep, warmed them up on Fairo's tail. If Fairo sat on them, maybe they'd hatch quicker. But then again, he'd probably squash them if they did hatch... Sulteron would stick to hugging them to her warm body for now. She did so, stroking the surfaces while she waited for Fairo to wake up.
