The bird pokemon this time didn't gloat even though the attack hit home. Even though the Taillow was able to see the attack coming his way the attack was too fast and almost impossible to dodge. Due to these small things the attack would hit surely and cause the Taillow some pain. Which is exactly what happened. This also caused the Taillow to lose a bit of altitude but he regained it quickly with almost no hassle.

The Girl seeing this almost immediately said after the Taillow got hit, "Taillow use Quick Attack on the Buizel when he's in the air it will knock him off course!" The Taillow hearing this tried to figure out where the Buizel would be so that he could hit him while falling then rushed where the Buizel should be in a few seconds in his fall so he could hit him with his Quick Attack.

Connor and Mizuki both watched as Taillow moved in closer with the Quick Attack. Hm, this could go either way, really. If Mizuki could reach the branch, the Quick Attack would just cause him a little pain. If it didn't, he would be knocked down, fast, rather than towards the branch. Mizuki and Connor both wished for luck, but unfortunately reality intervened. The Taillow's Quick Attack was fast than Mizuki's jumping, and the shooting bird struck the Buizel in the back. He began to fall helplessly.

"Mizuki, use your tail to try and staybalize yourself, then use a Sonicboom! Use the rebound from that to get to safety!" Connor called. The shiny quickly used his whirling tail to twist round and take good aim. He swiped at the air with his arms, sending a wave of sonic pulses towards Taillow. This would always deal the same amount of damage, regardless of anything else. Whether it hit or not, the force of using the move pushed Mizuki backwards, his paws finding a nice branch. He quickly scrambled up a couple of branches to the height of his trainer and opponent.

The wave of pulses hit home causing the Taillow to wince in pain, even thought it was a slight drop due to the wince, the Taillow had to work hard to get back up in the air. The Taillow was hurt as anyone could see, it even took effort to keep afloat in the air, however that was quickly resolved. For the Taillow went to a tree perched on it and ate a berry it had been carrying, making some of it injuries to fade. Without much of an effort, due to the berry, the Taillow started hovering again waiting for an order.

The trainer smiled as she saw her Taillow restore health with the Oran berry that she had given him to hold. Then making a decision, commanded, "Taillow use Focus Energy then Quick Attack!" Hoping to be able to knock the Buizel off the perch with the powered up Quick attack. The Taillow nodded started focusing his energy, to power the attack, then used Quick Attack, going at the Buizel, faster than before.

Mizuki growled as he saw Taillow keep himself going by eating an Oran Berry. That was pretty annoying, since it meant it would be harder for him to be able to beat the bird. He would have more health now, but not by much since berries didn't give much help but were still useful. The Focus Energy and Quick Attack was not a happy combination as far as the shiny Buizel was concerned. The Quick Attack slammed into his belly, the Focus Energy making this a critical hit. Mizuki managed to keep himself from falling off the branch, but did end up sprawled across it, knocked down.

"Try a Water Gun, but all your power into it." Connor called out thoughtfully, hoping he could win this. The Buizel had one paw on his silver flotation sac for balance as he shakily got to his feet, drawing power for his Water Gun. He was weak, but so was Taillow. That bird couldn't take much more, and he knew it. He might just be able to knock off that Oran Berry's effect with a strong enough attack, meaning the Flying type could faint. Maybe. Mizuki took aim, power drawn, and fired the strongest and most accurate Water Gun he could possibly manage.

The bird pokemon got hit by the attack before it could turn around. This caused the Taillow to be shot forward a few paces, thishowever was too much for the tiny pokemon and it fainted, falling from the sky. However his trainer pulled out a pokeball. Quickly returning the pokemon to the safe cacoon of the pokeball.

Mizuki gains two levels!

The trainer sadly looked at the pokeball housing her only pokemon decreased it size and slipped it in her pant pocket. Standing up on the tree branch that she had been giving orders from, and after getting her balance on the tree said, "Well you defeated me Conner, in a pokmon match, and even though I put up a good fight my Taillow lost." Then pulling out some money from her pocket, extended it out to Conner. Sorta of a prize for winning, $500 in all.

ic// Mizuki smiled a tired, worn smile as he saw that Taillow had been defeated, feeling stronger from the battle. He folded his arms, a proud expression on his face he usually did something he was pleased about. ~That's right, I'll make you faint.~

[/color] he said proudly, while Connor rolled his eyes. "Don't get too smug," he called, Vivime ruffling her feathers in agreement. The albino Ho-oh 'morph boy held out his Pokéball, returning the over-confident shiny.

Connor took the money, looking at it for a moment in surprise before taking his wallet out of his pocket and tucking it in there with the rest of him money. He smiled at the girl, thinking it was nice that she was handing over money for winning. He knew it was customary. "Yeah... thanks. That was fun, and hopefully Mizuki's a little less smug for it, hm?" he smiled, before looking about. He could see the next town not far off. That was where he needed to be. "Hope to see you around some time when you have more Pokémon!" he waved goodbye as he leapt down the tree from branch to branch before walking straight towards the town, his Pokémon with him.
