A VIPC; Very Important Phone Call

Sulteron, as much as she would have loved to, could not stop to stare at the pretty flowers or the overall beauty of the town. She had to get to the Pokémon Centre. Not just because Fairo wasn't his strongest and her newly caught Tailow wasn't too good either, but because she had a call to make. Since she didn't have a mobile phone, she would have to use the free ones and then find a way to upgrade her Pokédex; she'd seen people phone using them before.

~Hurry, hurry!~[/color] Fairo cried as she hurried along, not wanting to hurt the eggs she was holding and have them break or something. Fairo was hanging around her neck, his blazing golden tail wrapped tightly around the brown, which was tinted with silver and sparkling lightly. The other egg was in his warm paws. Sulteron's arm was their main support, however, of course. As she rushed into the Pokémon Center, a few people looked around in surprise, but she took no notice of them. She simply went up to the counter first; she'd want her Pokémon in good condition.

"Hello, and welcome to the Pokémon Center. We can heal you Pokémon to full health. Would you like us to heal your Pokémon?" Nurse Joy asked with her usual creepy smile.

Sulteron nodded, placing Fairo and Mizoro the Tailow's Pokéball before the nurse. She quickly had them both healed, and Sulteron hurried over to the phone in the corner.

Swiftly dialing Professor Apple Blossom's number, the shiny Espeon 'morph watched the screen. One buzz... two buzzes... aha! The Professor's face appeared on the screen. Before she could speak, Sulteron started. "Professor Apple Blossom, you told me to call if anything interesting happened. Not sure if you remember me, but my name's Sulteron. Anyway, I was on Route One, and there was this weird scientist guy in big recangular glasses and a filthy lab coat. He said that he was part of a club which looked at legendaries, and he asked me to join. I realised he was from Team Chaos and refused. He seemed like he was interested in me because I'm a Pokémorph, and in Fairo because he's a shiny. He said I'd be eliminated and left in a hurry as though he were scared or something. Does this help in anything?" she explained, a little out of breath at the end of it. She hoped that this information would be useful to try and stop Team Chaos do what they were doing, now they knew what they were interested in.[/size]

Professor Apple Blossom sighed, a full bodied sigh that was visable in the slump of her shoulders. She listened to Sulteron, fiddling absent mindely with a lock of red hair.
"I'm sorry to hear you had a run in with him. I try to keep Brady busy working in the feilds so he wont bother new trainers like you. Did he hurt you?" she examined Sulteron with keen eyes, her gaze sweeping to Fairo and checking up on him too. "It doesn't appear so. I wouldn't worry too much about him. I know he's a spy, and I make sure his prying eyes never see anything important. Thank you for the tip about Chaos's interest in legendary pokemon." She hesitated for a moment, her eyes down cast. "I don't want to frighten you, but Team Chaos is more powerful than most people know. You'll probably run into their operatives in your journey. But if you train hard, I'm sure you will defeat them." She said the last sentence with conviction, looking Fairo right in the eyes as she did. "You charmander seems to like you very much. That's good. Stick together, and you will be fine. Team Chaos often under estimates the power of things like friendship and true loyalty... the kind that isn't bought. The two of you could be a powerful team."

Sulteron smiled. Professor Apple Blossom was rather encouraging, considering that her first bit of news had been that she might run into Team Chaos again. Sulteron said her goodbye to the Professor, then hung up. She wasn't sure whether or not AB had taken the most interest in her titbit of information, but then again, she probably got quite a few calls from freaked out rookies. Well, at least she had stated that the bit about where Team Chaos stood with legendaries was well found. Sulteron stood up, shifting both her eggs to her right arm. Fairo's tail instantly stretched to accomodaten both of them, and Sulteron left the Pokémon Center.

Well, her visit to Petal Town would be brief. Now, she intented to buy some stuff at the Pokémon Mart. She walked into the shop, and Fairo gave a little squeal of delight, eyes sparkling as his gaze turned to a row of gleaming red TMs; Fire type moves. Sulteron grinned, picking up three Potions as she moved towards them. "Take your pick, Fairo. I'll pick on for Mizoro." she promised, moving to the next aisle. When she came back, the golden Charmander was bouncing up and down, pointing at a TM. Overheat. In Sulteron's arms was Airial Ace. She picked Overheat off the rack, picking up a Moon Stone as well as she moved to the counter. Fairo was holding some of the items himself, because Sulteron didn't have all that much room, what with the eggs and such. She laid it out on the counter; three Potions, two TMs and a Moon Stone. "How much does this cost?" she asked the man at he counter.

The man at the register smiled and began punching numbers on his computer. "Well, let's see. It's $100 for each potion, $1,000 for each TM, and $800 for the Moonstone. So $3,100 should be your total, if I did my math right?" He placed the items carefully in a brown paper bag, and slid the package toward Sulteron.

Sulteron nodded, quickly working it out herself to make sure the man wasn't ripping her off or anything. She took the paper bag, placing the correct amount of money into the man's hand. She smiled, walking out. Fairo was a little warm golden blur as he darted about in his excitement. ~I'm learning Overheat, oh, yeah, ah huh!~[/color] he grinned. Sulteron rolled her eyes. Well, she might as well get Mizoro out her Pokéball to come and learn Aerial ace... she shifted both the eggs to one side, feeling a thrill of excitement as the blue one shone again with that strange purple aura, reaching for the Tailow's Pokéball.

~PIPIPIPI!~[/color] Mizoro trilled in surprise as she was released. Seeing Sulteron and Fairo, she puffed her her feathers. ~What is this, a weirdo exam? You've all passed.~[/color] she sneered.

Sulteron sighed. "No, Mizoro. I just bought you both a TM. Here, let's use them." she smiled, pressing the Aerial Ace against Mizoro's forehead. The little bird remained still, smiling as much as it was possible to with a beak as the disk was absorbed. She did the same for Fairo. Sulteron then straightened up, and, to her imense surprise, Mizoro actually flew to her shoulder. Fairo looked shocked, too. "Erm... well, let's head to the next Route, then!" Sulteron broke the silence, walking down the path towards their goal.[/size]
