A new journey...a new life

Lark walked along the path, the sun was starting to rise. She had been chased by a Team Plasma grunt for a while, now the grunt was knocked out by her tail. Now she was on her way to the regions lab. She had heard that they had shiny starters, and shinys were more commen here. She remembered that barely any shiny starters came to her hometown, much less were shinys being hatched from eggs. She managed to reach to the entrance of the lab and knocked on the door with her tail. She wanted a Torchic, she had a Blaziken visit her lab once and she had adored that Blazeiken so much, she wanted a Torchic for her starter. She turned around to look at the rising sun, before checking her watch. "5:21 AM"She murmured. She returned her gaze at the door.

[Crazed Lapras]

It took the Professor longer to get to the door than usual. When she finally did open the door, she was rubbing her eyes, her square glasses held in one hand. She replaced them on her nose, blinking sleepily at the girl on her porch. There was a red smudge across her forhead that looked like she had fallen asleep at her desk or something. She politely covered a yawn. "Good morning, m'dear. What can I do for you?"

Lark could'nt help but chuckle. She looked at the professer, trying to keep a stright face "Im here for a starter, I heard you can get shiny starters here, Just to make this quick, The starter i want is a male shiny Torchic, if there are any males, if not then I'll opt for a female shiny Torchic." She said. She yawned slightly. "Also, Do you know where a trainer could find a Skarmory?"She asked. Skarmory had been her second favorite, because once every leap year, on Feburary 29, The Skarmory Festavel was held. She entered her Shiny Skarmory her father hatched from an egg and won many times due to her constant cleaning about a week before the Festavel. She loved Skarmory's shiny feathers and the fact that is was a Steel type, the type she loved second to Fire type.

[Crazed Lapras]

The Professor beckoned, waving her into the lab. "Those are some very specific criteria. I'm not sure I have one that fits it perfectly, but I'll see how close we can get." She walked across the small room to a large filing cabinet labled 'Starters'. As she dug around in her pockets for her key, she continued to talk.
"As for Skarmony, I would try either the Fethered Mesa, or the Iron Mountain Range. So, routes 6, 7, and 14? Ah ha, here it is." She jammed the key into the filing cabinet and pulled out five pokeballs. She pushed their buttons, letting the occupants out into the room as she called "Arise and shine my beauties."

There were four tochic, two males and two females. One of the males fluffed up his feathers and began to strut, showing off for Lark and the female fire-types. The other male blinked sleepily, his head cocked to one side as he gave a tiny little yawn. One of the females began to preen her feathers while the other, her feathers a bright gold shade that sparkled, walked up to Lark. "Chic?" She asked, peering up at the human as if trying to decide what to do with this wingless creature.
The last pokemon was a male cyndaquil. He began to explore the room, his little nose wiggling as he investigate a tall plant.

Lark looked at the strutting male and picked him up. Something about this shiny Torchic just took her away. "Your gonna be my starter."She said. She hoped that the Torchic understood her. She walked to the Professer's desk and set the Torchic on the desk. "May i have this Torchic please?"She asked. She looked at the other Torchic, and the Cyndaquil. "I dont think the Cyndaquil should be in the Torchic group"She said, her gaze settleing on the Cyndaquil. She patted her hip pack, one of the things she stole from a grunt.

[Crazed Lapras]

The Professor shook her head at the little cyndaquil. "I'm always telling my assistants to be careful when they organize the pokeballs. But sometimes I think everything I say goes in one ear and out the other." She handed Lark the torchic's pokeball, reaching under the desk to draw out a bag full of items.\
"Here is your starter kit. If you happen to come across any interesting or legendary pokemon on your journey, I would love to hear abou it. Good luck."

Lark nodded, She pocketed the pokeball into her hip pack, swung the bag on her back, and walked out. There was a paper on the desk, that said 'I'll let you know, if Team Plasma dont find me first.' Lark walked down the lab path, away from the lab and onto route 1. Now that she knew were Skarmory could be found, A Skamory would be found, and she hoped it would be a shiny Skarmory. Now, she had 2 out of 6 of her dream team. Now she needed to find 4 other members. Lark turned to look at the lab one more time, before walking to Route 1
