Route 1, oh boy

Lark walked down the path of Route 1, eating a small box of cereal for breakfast. She had obtained her starter, A Torchic she named Flame. She took out the pokeball and opened it. Out came her new Torchic. <Hi!>Flame squealed. Lark smiled, her tail swishing left and right. Flame ran to a patch of grass and began to play around in it. Lark looked at a patch of grass carefully, in case a wild pokemon came out.

Something blue and bouncey jumped out of the grass where Flame was playing. The little Marill was startled as she looked from Flame to Lark. A small, mischevious grin crossed her face. She bounced forward into a battle position, her eyes gleaming with excitement. She had been hopping to have some fun. Her tail whipped about her, showing just how thrilled she was to have met a trainer. ~Wanna fight?~ She growled at Flame, daring him to attack her with her eyes.

Jolt was taken aback but he began to strut around the Marill, puffing himself up to look handsome. Lark giggled, He was trying to get himself a girl, her tail was wagging. "He reminds me of John"She thought. John was one of the people captured to be lab rats. He allways was strutting when she was near him. She wondered if she had chosen the right starter, She looked up, the clouds were starting to gather, and become darker. A dark imange entered her mind, dark and looming. Lark held her head, it was such a frighting memory, it hurt so hard. "Danm you, Team Plasma" She whispered.

The Marill waited for Flame to attack. When nothing happened, she looked at Lark, confused. The girl seemed to be in pain. The water type's bottom lip stuck out in a pout for a moment before she walked up to the trainer. She patted her akwardly on the arm, mumbling indistinguishable comforting thoughts.

Lark looked at the Marill and nodded. "Im fine, Thanks Marill."She said to the water type. Flame looked at Lark and made really funny faces. Lark laughed, it had been only a long time ago senic she last laughed. She looked at the Marill, stood on a knee, and took out a pokeball. "You want to come with us?"She asked the Marill. Flame looked at the Marill and began to run around in the grass.

The Marill bounced around, happy at the thought of traveling. She paused for a moment to give Flame a good natured knock on the head with her tail, then danced around Lark's feet.

Lark smiled, and tapped the Marill's head with the pokeball. The pokeball opened and sucked the little Marill inside. Flame giggled and poked her hip pack, out came a pokeball, with the word Deo on it. Lark turned to look at the pokeball, picked it up, and threw it in the air. The pokeball opened, and out came the pokemon inside. "Atar? Atar Atar!"The pokemon squealed and hugged Lark. Flame looked at the pokemon and began to peck lightly on the pokemons back. Lark looked at the pokemon, and rechonized it as an Atar. "Hello there, uhh...Deo, where did you come from?"The Atar shook his head. Flame simply jumped up and down for his new buddy. Lark stood up and looked around.

<I hear. . . noises!> A shiny volbeat was in the higher parts of the grass, simply exploring his surroundings. He fluttered into the air to see above the grass, antennae moving about wildly. His amber eyes caught sight of a girl, human, but awfully strange looking. She had a large tail on her that the Volbeat could swear he'd seen on a legendary pokemon of some sort!

So strange, for a human.. Either way, the pokemon flitted over to them, tail glowing on and off in some unknown pattern. She had two pokemon with her, both birds. The Volbeat wasn't very fond of bird pokemon, seeing as how they constantly attacked him. Either way, he landed gracefully and turned to Lark and her pokemon, greeting them all tentatively.
<Er, hello. . . >

Lark looked at the shiny Volbeat, then at Deo. "Deo! Use Whrilwind!"Deo summoned up alot of wind and blew it at the Volbeat. Sadly, the wind was too hard, and Deo accidently blew the Volbeat away. Lark watched the Volbeat being blown off into the wind. She didnt like bug types anyway. She prefered Ice, Dark, Fire, or Steel types. She looked at Deo, then at Flame. She wondered why the shinys were more commen here than the other regions.

Strolling down the path came a man dressed in a smudged white lab coat. He had his hands shoved in his pockets, head down, muttering to himself. He glanced up, spotted Lark, and stopped short. He reached up to adjust his glasses which had thick lenses that hid most of his face.

"Oh, hello. That's an... unusuall limb you have there." He said before realizing that was probably a very rude comment. "You look like a very capable trainer. Perhapse you could help me out? I represent a group of people who are researching legendary pokemon. Unfortunatly, they don't get out much. We need some strong trainers to do the leg work for us. It wouldn't be a bother. You just go along on your adventure and call me if you run into any legendary pokemon. We'd make sure you have plenty of supplies in return." He waited, absently chewing his lower lip, waiting for her answer.

Lark looked at the man, her tail swishing left and right. "So? Thats what happens when you get captured to be a lab rat"She said sharply. She waited till he was done speaking, before thinking about her response. "Allright, I guess I'll do the leg work."She said, wondering what kind of supplies she'll get. Maybe potions or pokeballs, Revives maybe. She hoped she was not talking to a Team Plasma grunt. She took out her dagger, in case she would be captured. Deo and Flame both looked at each other. Flame hid behind Lark's leg, Deo looked at the man interestingly, but when he smelt the man, he ran behind Lark's other leg, squeaking. Lark took out their pokeballs. "Flame, Deo return"She said, the pokeballs opened, red light shot out of them, hit the pokemon, glowed red, and returned to their pokeballs. Lark then stuffed the pokeballs in her hip pack, and waited for the man's response.

"You'll help us?" His hands clasped together and he smiled, readjusting his glasses once again. His smile seemed to wilt as Lark pulled out a dagger, but he was smiling once again as he spoke next, though it was strained. "So, what would you have out of my resources?" This man seemed a bit seedy in his ways, as he glanced left and right constantly as he spoke. He seemed greatly nervous about nothing in particular."We have a vast amount of most anything a strong trainer, such as yourself, could ever want."

He readjusted his glasses, then spread his hands wide as he said. "So," His eyes darted left and right, and he swallowed hard. "What would you like? The more information you gather, of course, the more things you can get. A v-very simple trade-off, you see. We're very generous when it comes to rewarding those that help our, " The man searched for a word, looking down at the ground. " noble cause."

"Any kind of pokeball, Max Revives, and Hyper Potions."She said. Suddenly, her Marill got out of her pokeball and onto Lark's sholder. Lark patted her head, to calm her down. "Now now Margret, Theres no need to growl at our 'guest'." She told Margret. It still didnt calm her down, she relaxed a little, but she was still edgy about the 'guest'. <I still dont like him.>She murmured.

"Ah, I see. I just so happen to have a great ball and super potion on my person." The man said, rifling around in his over-sized pockets. "If you want more, you'll have to talk to our opperative in Sage Town. If you bring good information, he may even have some stronger pokemon to give you." He glanced at Marill as he said this, as if the water pokemon were weak in his eyes. He handed the supplies to Lark, along with a strange badge. It was made of some highly reflective metal, with multi-colored sparkles in it. It was in the shape of a capital letter 'C'. "Here is your badge. You can show it to our opperatives to prove you are trust worthy. Also, if anyone tries to bother you on your journey, this could make them change their mind."

Lark took the badge and looked at the badge. The Marill's eyes sparkled looking at the badge. Lark took the great ball and super Potion and placed them in her backpack. Lark nodded, placed the badge inside a small pocket in her hip pack, and ran along the route. She was not sure if the man was part of Team Chaos, but she was certin she fell into a Team Plasma trap. Her Marill was clinging onto her sholder tightly.
