Legends and Encounters

[Kairi]

Kairi with Pikachu ridding on her shoulder and Shiva walking beside her entered Route 2 of the Plains of Norm. Kairi planned on having her new Pikachu and Pachirisu get in a lot of trainning on this route. Kairi had also heard that a Lugia had been spotted on this Route. What a rare treat it would be just to meet Lugia.

Kairi had always had a love for Water types since she was little. And Lugia's a legendary water type Pokemon that can fly. Kairi also heard that Lugia can speak human. Kairi wished she'd run into it. It would probabbly be impossible to catch it, but Kairi figured it would be special enough in itself if she could just meet it.

Kairi had a camera in her bag. If she met Lugia she'd take her picture with it. And that would be all she'd need from Lugia. She'd treasure that picture forever. Pikachu interuted Kairi from her thoughts of Lugia,"Pika pika?" He asked her.

"Oh! Pikachu, I was just thinking what a rare treat it would be to run into Lugia," Kairi grinned. Pikachu and Shiva both gave Kairi confused looks,"Guess your right. A Pokemon like that's impossible to run into. It's not like people run into them everyday you know." Kairi just decided not to get her hopes up about running into the legendary water Pokemon.

It was then that Kairi noticed how hot it was,"Hey guys there's a lake there, you wanna take a break from training and go swimming?" She asked. Both her Pokemon grinned and nodded.

Kairi then called out her other Pokemon out of there PokeBalls. Emcub gave Kairi a look that said,'You gotta be kidding here! I'm a fire Pokemon!' Kairi noticed,"Oh! I forgot your a fire type, Emcub. That means you don't go good with water," Kairi looked around for something for Emcub to do.

Kairi then found a patch of hot sand next to the lake. Emcub ran over to the sand and started playing in it,"Good huh?" Kairi asked her. "Emm," Emcub grinned as she played in the sand.

Shiva, Pikachu, Pachirisu, Mighty, and Aron got in the water. Kairi grinned and put up her tent and went in and changed into her bathing suit. Kairi joined her Pokemon in the water. Pikachu and Pachirisu were splashing each other. They seemed to get along very well since there both small electric Pokemon.

Kairi grinned and dived under the water, and came back up. She then went down again and came back up. Kairi was like a dolphin in the water. Or in this case, a Lapras. Kairi grinned,"A Lapras," she thought grinning. She'd love to catch one, one of these days.

Kairi made a note to herself to look for a Lapras once she got onto the Route that a Lapras can be found. Kairi then swam somemore. She really was like a Lapras, in the water. Kairi had always been such a good swimmer since she was very little.

That must be why she loves water Pokemon so much. Kairi always loved the water, ever since she was little. Kairi had always thought that in her past life she must have been a mermaid or some type of water Pokemon, that's a good swimmer.

Kairi then dived all the way down to the bottom of the lake. She had always been very talented at holding her breath under water for a very long time. She could hold her breath under water for five minutes. Kairi started looking inside clam shells to see if she could find any Pearls.

Not finding any Kairi swam back up to the surface. Her Pokemon were napping on shore. Kairi yawned. She could use a nap herself. She went and sit next to her Pokemon leaning her back up against a tree. She then fell asleep.

While asleep, Kairi dreamed about meeting Lugia. In the dream she was trying to get to Lugia but some wall that was invisible was blocking her from getting anywhere near Lugia.

Just then Kairi saw Team Chaos members catching Lugia in a cage,"No! Lugia!" Kairi screamed baming on the invisible wall. She turned around. Pikachu and Shiva weren't there. She reached to her Pokebelt to call out one of her Pokemon.

All of her PokeBalls were gone. It seemed that she didn't have her Pokemon with her. All Kairi could do was to watch, the Team Chaos members take Lugia away. And she was helpless to do anything to stop them,"No! No!!!!" Kairi screamed, sobbing as Lugia was taken away from her.

Kairi woke up in a big sweat. Shiva, her Glaceon was looking at her in the face,"Glace?" She said, looking concerned for her master. "I'm ok Shiva. I just had a little bad dream is all. Did I wake you up?" She asked her Pokemon. Shiva shook her head. She pointed out that the others were already awake as well.

Kairi went over to the lake and splashed cold water onto her face, to cool herself off. "Are you guys hungry?" She asked her Pokemon. All six of them then crowed around her, hearts in there eyes,"I'll take that as a yes, then," Kairi giggled.

Kairi then went into the tent and changed back into her clothes. Kairi then fixxed lunch for her Pokemon and herself. They all then sit down to eat. Kairi sitting next to her Pokemon eating her meal. Kairi looked at the lake as she ate, wondering if Lugia was hidding down there somewhere.

Kairi giggled at the thought,"It's not like it's just going to appear and say please let me join your party." She then thought back to the dream she had. She then remembered that one Team Chaos guy she had ran into on Route 1.

He did say he'd have Team Chaos members chassing her. What if that dream had been trying to tell her something. Like that it wouldn't be safe for Lugia to appear to her. Kairi sobbed as she thought about the dream.

Shiva noticed and walked up to Kairi and licked her on the face, asking her if she was ok,"Oh, I'm ok Shiva. Just got a little bit of dust in my eye is all," she grinned as she took a big bite out of her food and contined looking at the lake thinking about Lugia.

ooc// Now that is one overly sized hint. But, ah, sorry, I won't give ya Lugia. If I were you, come back later if you wanna see a legendary. Or at least get through the legendary encounters you've won first. Seems fair?

ic// All was calm and peacefull on this route. It seemed no Lugia would be about today, and no Pokémon seemed worried in any way. That was good; it meant that Team Chaos hadn't caught up with Kairi yet. However, the water wasn't entirely silent. A small, ball shaped Pokémon was hopping along happily by the water's edge when he spotted a cluster of Pokémon. That looked like fun! The Pokémon bounced over.

~Az! Azuril!~[/color] he called out to Kairi, hopping on his rotund tail. The Azuril grinned,hopping up to the girl and looking hopefull and hungry. He was very hungry, so would Kairi perhaps feed the cute Water type? Meanwhile, a sudden sweet scent of freshly cut grass filled the air.[/size]

Kairi was sitting there enjoying herself. She had just about fallen asleep when a very small Pokemon came up to her,"Azur," it had called out. Kairi jumped startled to death. She landed on top of Pikachu who shocked her to death,"Pikachu! I'm sorry!" Kairi said inbetween shocks. Kairi's other Pokemon laughed. "It's not that funny you know," Kairi says grabbing Pikachu and pulling him out from under her. She sit Pikachu down beside her. She then noticed the Azurill,"Hi, would you like to have lunch with use?" She asked it. She pushed over a bowl of very nice looking Pokemon food over to the Azurill as she grinned at it.

Azuril bounced back at the sight of Pikachu. An Electric type?! Danger, danger! Azuril whimpered a little, scared. Then the mouse actually shocked his own trainer! Azuril squealed in fright and hid behind his tail, shivering in fear. He clearly didn't like Electric types, especially this perticular Pikachu, very much; after all, they were super effective! The little blue mouse hopped curiously forward, however, as Kairi's Pokémon laughed. What was so funny?

A delicious smell entered Azuril's nostrils. Oh, he hadn't eaten for days! These Pokémon... they had tasty food, cooked specially for them, probably. Azuril was so jealous. And a bowl was put near him. Were they trying to torture him with the smell? The paranoid Water type then realized that Kairi was actually offering him the food. What a nice girl! He grinned happily at her, wolfing down the food. The entire lot was gone in a matter of seconds. He sighed, content. He pointed at various things, telling Kairi through his actions that he hadn't eaten for three days before now.

[Kairi]

"Awww! You poor little thing," Kairi sighed. The water type didn't like Pikachu because it was electric but it really hadn't noticed that another electric type was also with Kairi, a shiny Pachirisu. The Pachirisu however didn't know any electric attacks yet. Pachirisu came over and tried to make friends with the Azurill,"Pachu," she grinned happily. Kairi noticed how weak Azurill looked and pulled out a Potion and sprayed the Potion onto Azurill making it better. She then grinned at it. If living out in the wild was so much trouble maybe it would like to come with her. She asked it,"Azurill, how would you like to come with us? You would be safe with us, and you could have yummy food like this everyday," Kairi then waited for the Azurill's answer. If it agreed, she'd put her Aron in storage, to have Azurill with her.

ic// Azuril's eyes widened and he leaped back in fright at the sight of another Electric type. After all, he didn't know that right now Pachirisu only knew Bide, did he? He was pretty terrified until Kairi came over, spraying him with an odd liquidy stuff. He coughed, then shook his fur. He felt... stronger. Wow! That was really, really good. He looked up at Kairi with big, thankfull eyes, listening carefully to her offer. Hm... perhaps. He thought long and hard, then he sighed, frowning. He'd like to come along, but he just didn't know this trainer. She was still pretty much a stanger, and could be one of those bad people he'd heard about who act all nice then take you away somewhere nasty. He shook his head slowly.

But then again... there was a way he could tell if Kairi was a friend or just pretending. He'd have to see if she was prepared to take on the Pokémon who made him so weak and stole all his food. He bounced up and down, hopping away. He looked behind him, motioning for Kairi and her various Pokémon to follow. He soon came to a point in the route where he stopped and hid behind Kairi, shivering in fear.

They were away from the lake now, in a more foresty area of the route. A shape loomed ahead, growling. Suddenly, the form burst from the trees. It was a Munchlax, and it was gaurding a pile of food. A fainted Rattata lay next to it, clearly being defeated so Munchlax could steal the food it was carrying, the crumbs of which were still in it's paw. The Rattata slowly regained conciousness, scurrying away quickly. This Munchlax was clearly what had been beating Azuril up and stealing his food. If Kairi beat it, it would probably learn the error of it's ways. Would Kairi fight it in a Pokémon battle?

[Kairi]

"Wait up!" Kairi called. She recalled all her Pokemon expect for Pikachu and Shiva into there PokeBalls. She cleaned up the picnic area and followed the Azurill. Pikachu ridding on her shoulder and Shiva following behind. She saw the Munchlax,"So, your the one who's been harashing this poor little Azurill! Well, you should be asamed of yourself, picking on someone weaker then you! I'll have to teach you some manners! Shiva use Ice Beam! And Pikachu go around Munchlax and get Azurill's food back." Shiva shot Ice Beam at Munchlax, while Pikachu ran over to the stake of food trying to get Azurill it's food back.

Munchlax raised an eyebrow. Pft, this girl was dumb. All this food was clearly not Azuril's. It had come from about fifteen or so different Pokémon. The other reason why he thought Kairi was being silly was that he was on level eighteen and Pikachu was on level one. OK, maybe Kairi had lived her life with cotton in her ears, but it had never been heard of to have a Pokémon defeat a Pokémon seventeen levels higher. That kind of thing only happened in video games, not real life.

Munchlax didn't even notice Shiva using Ice Beam, he was too busy racing over to protect his food. If Kairi actually thought that the lowest level mouse would even survive a single attack from him, then that was ridiculous. The Munchlax leapt over the food, landing in Pikachu's path. If the mouse tried to take a single berry, or anyone else for that matter, they'd be sorry. He powered up a Lick attack, ready to attack Pikachu if he were to take a single step forward. Munchlax would attack while he was busy collecting up the food. If he waited til then, Pikachu would be unaware and it would be a definate hit. And with that much level difference, Pikachu would almost certainly faint. But Munchlax didn't want to fight level one Pikachus. He wanted to fight something that would be a challenge.

OOC: Hey! You didn't give Pikachu time to dodge! That's godmodding!

ooc// Erm- it wasn't an attack. Munchlax was trying to get to Shiva to battle her. If you want Pikachu to battle, it won't work; Pikachu's on level 1, and Munchlax is level 18. I was just trying to make the thread a bit more interesting because I was actually going to have Shaymin appear to help Kairi battle, unless you don't want that, of course...

ooc// OK, I've redone my whole post. It wasn't an attack any way, Pikachu wouldn't have been hurt. Now, however, he'd probably faint if he went to the food. God, you're so difficult to mod. Seriously, just listen to yourself sometime. Put yourself in our shoes. We do a lot to try and make you happy, then you yell at us if the slightest thing is not perfect, then you blame it on IBS and think everything'll be fine.

"Oh no! Pikachu come back! You too Shiva," Kairi didn't want Pikachu to get hurt but she had to get the Azurill's food back,"Guess I'll get it myself!" Kairi raced over, jumping over the Munchlax, and heading towards the foodm"I'll get it Azurill, don't worry," Kairi grinned, reaching out to the food.
