Pretty much as soon as Alexis had walked beyond the sight of the Lab and farther into Route 1 she felt like she trusted Leon enough to walk beside her as he was practically bursting with excitement in her arms and had shifter from shoulder to shoulder, nibbling gently on her large ears and her cheek. As she placed him on the ground he did a small little dance and he just seemed to be so happy, not being cooped up in the lab or the Pokéball.

At first he seemed a little unsure, once they had started walking again and practically clinging to her leg, but after a while he became more certain, with little words of encouragement from Alexis and he dashed off into the long grass that lined both sides of the large mud track they were following. Alexis automatically jumped and follwed after him "Leon, Leon! Come back here! It's not safe!" She called after him and automatically felt stupid for not making sure he knew his nickname.

"Toto...DILE!" Is all Alexis heard before he lept up from the grass and clung to her shorts. She let out a large sigh before picking Leon up again "You gave me such a fright!" She scolded him slightly, but once she saw the sadness in his eyes she sighed again. "But, I guess you know your nickname now?" She asked and the Totodile just returned to it's happy little self and snapped it's jaws in approval.

Leon lept down from Alexis' arms and pointed at a small puddle of water that had been left from the awful downpour earlier and she smiled in understanding "Of course, you go and play, I'll be sat right here." She said as she sat down beside the puddle as Leon did his little dance again "Toto, Toto!" Leon exclaimed happily as he dived into the puddle and began rolling around, leaving Alexis giggling and gently poking his belly just to get gently nuzzled or bitten.

occ/ Yay! You're a pretty fast poster aren't you? Oh also Pokemorphs can actually talk to their pokemon in pokespeak and also hear what they say back, just to let you know.

In the grass a pokemon watched the trainer and her pokemon, which seemed to be having some fun in the water that pooled up after the rain. The little Totodile seemed to be a bit antsy and energetic. The trainer was a bit wet, for her hair was sorta damp. Also he noticed the ears and the tail seeing that they came from a Luxio, making her a Pokemorph. However he wondered, if she was a pokemorph, why didn't she understand her pokemon?

Shrugging it off the pokemon tried to make his choice, stay in the grass and watch or try to battle the trainer and have a possibility of getting captured? He chose battling and ran from out from behind the tree, through the grass and jumped up as soon as it got out of the grass revealing who it was, a Lickatung. Aiming to land on the little Totodile possibly crushing it.

Alexis felt eyes burning into her and her Totodile from all around her and let out a low growl, trying to ward off those that may be watching them but trying to stay focused on Leon. "Calm down, Alexis, we'll be able to leave soon." When her Totodile spoke this time, she understood him but she wasn't as shocked as she should've been and just replied with a sigh and a short "Okay, Leon, but hurry up then." And the Totodile just nodded in resonse to that.

Alexis heard movement from her side and as she turned she saw a large, pink Pokémon diving out from the tall grass, and as an almost instinct need to protect Leon, she dived over puddle, snatching him up and moving him and herself out of the way of danger just in time. Then she grinned, placing Leon on the ground and standing up, glaring at the Lickitung that had dared to try and attack Leon "Battle time, Leon." She said in an almost musical tone and the Totodile repeated his dance in excitement "Yes, yes! I'm going to fight the best!" and Alexis giggled.

Battle, Start!

Alexis wiped some of the wet mud off of her face from when she had dived to save Leon before she gave her first order "Leon, I want you to perform Leer." Almost instantly after calling out the attack, Leon gave the Lickitung an intimidating glare while snapping it's jaws and releasing a low growling in hopes of possibly lowering the foe's defence to get in a more powerful attack.

occ/you can use one stat move and one attack move per turn, letting you know

The Lickitung smiled his tongue wagging from his mouth as he felt his defense stat go down a bit. Laughing he said <Is that all you can do you runt? Try this on for size.> Using Defense Curl then as soon as his stats returned to normal, he got his tongue ready to use Lick. Cackling he got close to the pokemon and prepared to lick him.

Leon growled, more ferociously this time, he hated being called a runt and he was going to let this Lickitung know it "Rather be a runt than something that's morbidly overweight." Leon chunnered and Alexis giggled at Leon's comeback before ordering him out again "Leon, dodge then scratch!" She called out to him and he nodded.

Leon lept out of the way of the large tongue that was heading towards him and ran as fast as he could beside the Lickitung and furiously scratched his claws out hoping that this attack would hit and knock the foe down a few pegs.

The large pokemon tried to dodge the flurry of scratch attacks, but failed. The attack leaving marks in the Lickitung's skin. The pokemon slightly winced due to the fact that he had used Defense Curl helped him making the attack do less damage. The Lickitung wagged his hand at the Totodile saying, <Nuh uh.> with a slight lisp, <Runt stay still this time.> referring to the fact that the Totodile had dodged his first Lick attack. Then he also said <I don't really care if you think I'm overweight that's the way that I'll always be.> chuckling at what the runt thought was a insult to him.

Then he immediately stopped laughing, and started running at the little pokemon. Intending to get that move to hit the pokemon, causing a bit of pain for the pain he had received. As soon as he got to the Totodile he reideded himself hoping to lick the pokmon with his tongue.

Leon panicked slightly but Alexis remained certain and assertive "Leon, use Leer again." She said quietly to him and Leon leered at the foe with sharp eyes as he was finishing up his little speech hoping to possibly lower his defence again.

As soon as the Lickitung began running towards Leon and released it's large tongue again, Alexis called out another attack to him "Get ready to use scratch Leon, as soon as his tongue gets close enough, but still be ready to recieve the attack!" Leon nodded and gulped but tryed to play it off cool "Aye, aye Alexis."

Leon held his ground but shuddered at the thought of being licked by this large Pokémon. But as soon as he judged the large tongue to be close enough released another flurry of scratch attacks before the tongue hit him, barely giving him anytime to jump and dodge the attack again.

occ/you do realize that you need to say weather the attack hit or not, the one from the lickatung, not the one from your pokemon. Its your decision and i can't make it for you, however limit yourself to two or three sucessful dodges per pokemon. Sorry but I'll post a reply for the battle, when you do this. Don't worry, this is your first battle its normal.

occ/even though the attack didn't hit it still wasn't too easy to figure out, please be a bit more specific on the next post and remember, two or three sucessful dodges each battle. Otherwise keep up the great work!

The Lickitung winced as once again the scratches hit once again. Leaving gashes once again on his body. Then got even more angry as he realized after the scratch attack that he had missed once again. Filling him with rage at the fact. However he also noticed that the Totadile was quite vurnable to another attack. Also since he was close enough he wouldn't have to run to get to him. He simply spun around to face the runt. Still not saying anything and prepared to lick the pokemon, covering it with it's sticky saliva to cause some pain.

OOC:// I'd meant it so that Leon had attacked the Lickitung's tongue and then got hit by it afterwards but ah well. xD I'll try not to dodge anymore. Also, I levelled up in the training gym, but I want to continue the battle as a Level 5 Pokémon, if that's okay?Alexis Mallymkun Mallen;;

"Leon, jump back a little bit and use leer again"Alexis called out and Leon did just that, not knowing he was still in a good, close, range for the Lickitung to attack him, leering at him again.

Everynow and again, Alexis would call out to him to calm him down. "It's okay Leon, even if you don't win, I'll still be there to heal you up." Which filled Leon with relief, even though the thought of being licked by a tongue of that size still made him shudder and sick to his stomach, Alexis' comfort and hope in him would let him abide it.

"Come on, fatty, is that all you've got?" Leon gave a very child-like retort, even though he was pretty sure he was going to have those words shoved back down his throat pretty soon. But it was starting to show that Leon was getting slightly tired out from having to leap and run so much, especially for a Totodile of his size.

occ/You didn't say weather the attack hit so ill assume that it did, next time say weather or not it hit, specificaly, so I'll just choose if it will, and also say what happened. So on your reply say if the attack hit or not (that the Lickutung used)

Lickatung laughed as he felt his defence stat fall not caring in the slightest. However it was going to show if the Totodile tried to use scratch again. The lick attack hit, covering the pokemon in sticky saliva, lowering the pokemon's HP. The Lickatung once again prepared to lick the Totodile again.

[this attack is your choise if it hits or not, then Totodile can attack after the attack hits (or not). Make it happen!]

Alexis panicked slightly when the attack hit Leon and even more so when she knew he was going to attack again. "Try to jump out of the way and then scratch him." Leon sighed, feeling the drain on his HP but tried to do as Alexis had told him, he lept out of the way just in time, the Lickitung's tongue just scratching his tail, knocking him slightly off balance and he fell on his stomach, which took his HP down slightly.

"Come on, Leon, you can do it!" Alexis called to him and he jumped up to his feet again, running to the Lickitung and sending another round of scratch attacks before jumping back infront of Alexis where he felt slightly more protected and sheltered.

The Lickatung smiled as he saw his attack missed but still caused the pokemon's HP to go lower. However he groaned in agony as he felt the Scratch attack hit home. His very low defense stat causing him to feel more pain than usual from the attack. Then seeing the Totadile cower behind the pokemorph, laughed saying, <Hey runt, running back to your mommie, for protection? She won't be able to stop me from hurting you for that Scratch attack you pulled off.> His eyes glowing with fury, running up as fast as he could to lick the pokemon, trying to cause him some serious pain.

Leon snarled at the Lickitung "For your information, I don't need Alexis' help, I can take you out all by myself, fatty" He glanced up at Alexis as he put most emphasis on the word fatty as a sign to show her that what he said wasn't completely the truth.

"Leon, use scratch again as he's going to hit you, you might get hit so prepare yourself, okay?" Leon nodded in response and Alexis moved away, not wanting to get caught in the fray. As soon as the Lickitung had released it's tongue to try and lick Leon again he sent a stronger scratch attack out to the oncoming tongue but grimaced as it hit him once again and drained some of his HP again.
