The Meeting, and Battles

[Kairi]

Kairi and Shiva, her new Eevee entered Route 1 wondering what they'd find. Kairi was hoping for a very rare Pokemon to pop out. But she guessed not to get her hopes up this soon. Plus, Shiva was still a beginner at this. She might not be ready for a rare Pokemon yet. Shiva was running in circles and running around sniffing everything. Kairi laughed at hoe excited Shiva was to be on this journey with her. Shiva was like an excited little kid running around all over the place.

"Shiva be careful," Kairi warned. Too late! Shiva triped over her own two feet and landed on her face, her long busy tail in her face,"Veee," Shiva said looking kinda embaressed. "Well, I tried to warn you," she said. Shiva then got bored with the whole thing and yawned, calming down a little bit. "Bored huh?" She asked her. Shiva nodded.

"Don't worry. Maybe we'll run into something to battle soon," Kairi reasured Shiva. The shiny Eevee at once percked up,"Eevee!" Shiva grinned wagging her tail. She jumped onto Kairi's shoulder and rubbed against her cheek grinning. Kairi then continued walking Shiva going for a ride on her shoulder.

Also walking on Route One, was Katie, with her new found Pokémon, Sparky the Pikachu - Whom was perched upon her shoulder. "Don't worry about battling, You'd be great in one" Katie had minor doubts, but washed them away. She had a Pikachu. Finally she could become a Top Co-Ordinator. She would be the best there ever was. "Pii, Pikaa" Sparky's ears had pricked up, with this he jumped off Katie's shoulders to run off into the distance. "Spa-Sparky W-Wait, where are you going?!" Katie shouted as she ran after him.

Sparky then leaped out of a bush in front of Kairi and her Eevee. Behind him was Katie, stumbling out of the bush - letting out noises - due to her being afraid of being stung by bee's or something. "Sparky, Don't run off aga-" Katie was cut off when she looked up, to see a girl - around her age, with an Eevee. "Oh, Hey there" She said sweetly, waving at the pair.

[Kairi]

"Eeee veeee!" Shiva grinned as she jumped down and ran over to Sparky, and started sniffing him,"Shiva! Do you have to smell everything?" Kairi asked her. Shiva started jumping around in circles around Sparky trying to play with him,"Eeee!" She grinned. "I'm Kairi and that little Eevee who's playing with your Pikachu there is my starter partner Pokemon, Shiva. I got her from the lab. I'm going to be a Breeder, and collect Badges. I may end up taking the league challenge but maybe not," Kairi said introducing herself and Shiva.

Katie smiled at Shiva and Sparky playing, with Sparky jumping around Shiva now to play. "I'm Katie, and that's my starter partner, Sparky. I'm going to be a Co-Ordinator and collect Ribbons, and hopefully be a Grand Festival Winner" Katie said, letting her hand flow down through her hair as she introduced herself. An Eevee, How beautiful - That was one of her choices, but she chose Sparky instead. Katie wondered if this girl was going to look for a battle.

[Crazed Lapras]

Not far from the two girls, a pair of poochyena were frolicking. One was male, the other female. They were playing a game of tag, running among the wildflowers and tall grasses of Route 1. The male suddenly skidded to a stop, cocking his head with one ear raised to the sky. His paws twitched as he looked off into the distance. The female paused and looked at him, expectantly. He turned to her, a mischevious grin spreading across his face.

~Hey, there are some trainers and their pokemon over there. Why don't we try and scare them?~He asked, whispering conspiratorily. The female giggled and nodded her agreement.

The two of them crept toward the edge of the grass, placing each paw carefully as they tried to be stealthy. The male wiggled in anticipation, then flicked his tail for a signal. The two dark types burst from their hiding place, howling at the tops of their lungs and racing toward Sparky and Shiva.

[Kairi]

"Uh...what do you say to a doubles match?" Kairi asked Katie. Before she could answer Kairi picked her target,"Shiva use Tackle on the female Poochyena!" Kairi called. Shiva nodded getting all excited and running around in a circle,"I said Tackle attack!" Kairi ordered again. Shiva grinned,"Eeveee!" She called out racing towards the female Poochyena using Tackle hoping to hit it.

"Don't let them have all the fun, Thundershock Sparky!" Katie shouted out to her Pikachu, whom was quite shy, hiding behind Katie's head. "Come on Sparky...You can do this, Thundershock!" Katie said to her Pikachu once more, whom then jumped off her shoulder, quite unsure whether he made the right decision, coming down at the male Poochyena, then releasing electrical currents from his body. "Chuu!" Sparky shouted as he used the attack.

[Crazed Lapras]

The two canines were startled by the return attacks of the other pokemon. They hadn't been prepared for such a swift response. The female yelped as Shive collided with her, stumbling a little. ~Hey, I'll get you back for that!~ She called once she had regained her balance. The female charged after the shiny eevee, using a Tackle of her own.

The male also did not take kindly to Sparky's attack. He tried to dodge the electricity comming from the pikachu, but that feat was near impossible. He danced about from paw to paw, trying to lessen the pain before turning on Sparky and jumping toward him in a Tackle attack.

[Kairi]

"Shiva use Helping Hand to help Sparky out! And then use Tackle on that oncoming Poochyena!" Kairi called. Shiva used Helping Hand raising Sparky's attack power, and then running once again towards the female Poochyena with her Tackle attack while it ran at Shiva with it's own Tackle attack. It looked like both Pokemon would hit each other head on.

Katie looked to see Shiva had helped Sparky, now it was time they repayed the favour. "Sparky, use Growl on the female poochyena!" Katie called out, with Sparky growling cutely to the female poochyena, to lower the attack of her - so the female poochyena's tackle wouldn't hurt as much, but also meant that Shiva had the upper hand with more attack power. Katie then looked to her own battle to see the male poochyena coming at Sparky with a tackle. Sparky had began to get really shy by this time and was struggling of what to do.

"Sparky, sway to the right!" Katie looked to see the male poochyena brush hard against Sparky as he moved, knocking Sparky along. "Thundershock!" Katie had cupped her hands over her mouth to amplify her voice. Sparky looked sideways then released another thundershock towards the Poochyena who had came towards him.

[Crazed Lapras]

The female poochyena felt ganged up on. She could feel Sparky's growl drain her attack power, just as she and Shiva were about to collide. Her ears rang and her vision went grey as their heads collided, sending her limping off to the side. She shook her head and turned to tackle Sparky this time, annoyed by the electric mouse.
The male poochyena was also getting frustrated. His tackle hadn't been nearly as spectacular as he wanted, and now that blasted pikachu was zapping him again. He winced as the attack took its toll, and he could feel his muscels begin to ache. He shook his head and launched himself at Sparky again. He still had at least one good attack left in him. Maybe they could beat the pikachu, then focus on Shiva.

[Kairi]

Kairi saw that and screamed at Shiva very quickly,"Use Helping Hand on Sparky again!" Shiva nodded and raised Sparky's attack power even higher,"Now quickly Tackle the female Poochyena again!" Shiva ran at the female Poochyena as it was running towards Sparky, hoping to catch up and tackle the Poochyena.

Katie looked to see the male Poochyena going at Sparky again, but instead said nothing. Sparky would have to learn to stand on his own two feet. Sparky looked to Katie for re-assurance, but then figured out what she meant. Sparky let himself get hit but also felt power flowing through him because of Shiva's Helping Hand. He suddenly took agrip of Poochyena's fur and was ready to discharge yet another Thundershock Attack.

[Crazed Lapras]

That last thundershock attack was all the little male could take. He panted as he squirmed weakly, trying to escape Sparky's hold. If Katie wanted to capture him, now would be the time to do it.
The female appeared to have a little more fight in her. Shiva knocked her off her course to attack Sparky, so she turned her tackle attack on the eevee. Despite her energy, she was looking rather worn down too. Her eyes darted to the tall grass on the side of the road, trying to debate if she could escape or not.

"Oh no!" Kairi panicked as she realized the female Poochyena was getting ready to run away. She did look very weak though. So maybe Kairi could catch her now. She pulled out a PokeBall,"PokeBall go!" She screamed throwing the PokeBall at the female Poochyena.
