The Meeting, and Battles

It struck Katie that now was the time for capturing them, like Kairi, Katie also took out an empty Pokéball and called out as she threw it. "Pokéball Go!". The Pokéball spun at the male poochyena.

[Crazed Lapras]

The two pokeballs flew through the air toward their perspective targets. They hit the poochyena, who were now wishing they had not tried to scare the trainers, and dissappeared in a flash of red light. The female's ball wiggled a little as she struggled for a bit, then gave up.
From not too far away, someone was applauding. It was a lab assistant, his coat stained and dirty. He wore thick glasses that hid most of his face. "Well done ladies, well done!" He called, striding up to them. "You two are a perfect team. In fact I have a proposal for the two of you, if you are interested. I represent a team of pokemon collectors who are searching for rare and legendary pokemon. we could use to efficient girls like you on our team. We have plenty of supplies, and we could make it worth your while."

[Kairi]

Kairi picked up the female Poochyena's ball and put it up deciding to call her Poochi. Kairi then asked Shiva if she'd like to evolve into Glaceon. She nodded yes. It sounded fun. Kairi took out the Never Melt Ice and evolved her. She then used two Rare Candies on Shiva and two on Poochi. Just then some guy walked up to them asking her and Katie to join a Pokemon Collector's group. Kairi didn't like the sound of that,"No I don't think so. Pokemon aren't for collecting. There our friends." Shiva growled,"Glace!" She agreed.

"What she said, You know - If your going to collect them, Your not very nice people are you?" Katie frowned at the Lab Assistant. A smile then appeared on her face. "I'm going to tell the Professor your up to no good." Katie then looked down on Sparky, who nodded firmly. She then went and picked up Poochyena's Pokéball, deciding to name him Akumu. She then clipped the Pokéball to her belt, taking out a Rare Candy, tossing it down to Sparky to munch on, levelling him up.

[Crazed Lapras]

The man smirked at Katie, his friendly facade dissapearing. "You think you're so smart, little girl. You pathetic trainers and that goody-goody professor have no idea the power you pass up for your silly ideals of befriending pokemon. I'll give you one last chance." His tone had a veiled threat behind it, and he glared menacingly at them. "There are invisible lines of loyalty being drawn all of the region everyday. There's going to be an epic show down sometime in the near future. You wouldn't want to be on the wrong side... if you catch my drift."

[Kairi]

"Looks like we'll have to fight him, Katie. You up for it?" Kairi asked. She called Poochi out of her PokeBall. She realized what was going on and growled at the Lab Assistant,"You know you look very femiller," Kairi thinks about then comes up with the answer,"Your a Team Chaos member aren't you? I heard about you evil guys on the News. You use Pokemon for evil. You also have been known to steal others Pokemon. But you won't be taking ours," Kairi said shaking her fist.

She used more Rare Candies on her Pokemon. Eight for Shiva and eight for Poochi. That put both of them at level 16. If Poochi went up two more levels she'd evolve. Kairi had already decided when she evolved to call her Mighty,"Ok, Poochi use Bite. And Shiva use Icy Wind," Kairi ordered her Pokemon to attack the Lab Assistant. They both ran at him. Shiva released her Icy Wind attack while Poochi jumped at him, intending to bite him.

"Okay...I got this down" Katie muttered to herself, tossing a Pokéball out into the open, sending Akumu out for battle. She then took out sixteen rare candies, tossing nine down for Sparky and seven to Akumu, both of whom ate them respectivly, each gaining eight levels. Now Katie knew that they would learn new moves, but she had to be certain - Yes, Sparky and Akumu would learn new moves. And it would be five levels away for Akumu to evolve into a Mightyena. For now, she would hold back on the offensive side and wait for the Lab Assistant to do something, but Team Chaos?. Katie looked confused, yes she had heard of them, but Katie was also worrying that they might want her Pokémon Eggs, She had two, what if they wanted to steal them? She would say nothing about them.

"Sparky, Quick Attack!, Akumu use Howl on Poochi!" Katie called out to her Pokémon. They both nodded. Sparky began to run and soon picked up speed, swaying from left to right at the Lab Assistant. "Pika Pika Pika Pika!" Sparky growled as he ran. Akumu sat down then raised his head, howling out loud to Poochi, raising her spirits to raise the attack of the bite.

[Crazed Lapras]

The lab assistant leapt back when the girls set their pokemon on him. "What are you, crazy?! You don't attack PEOPLE with pokemon!" He yelled at them, stumbling backwards and trying to avoid the pokemon. He tried to paste his fake smile back in place, but it was no good. He just grunted "I have more important things to do than battle two newbie trainers. But I wont forget this. I'll have grunts follow you to your doom." With that, he pulled something from his pocket and let it fall to the ground. A dark, foul smelling fog filled the air around him -essence of Muk. A few wild pokemon who were nearby fled from the stinking cloud, screeching their alarm. When it finally cleared, the man had fled.

[Kairi]

Kairi was upset about this whole thing,"Just you wait! I'll stop you. I won't let your little group harm anymore Pokemon!" Kairi screamed. Even though the guy had already left, promsing to have Grunts chase them to there doom. It seemed it would be dangerous to go on this journey alone,"Katie it seems like this journey of ours has become quite dangerous. It would be better if we stick together. So what do you say? Traveling buddies?" Kairi asked as she grinned at Katie.

Katie considered this for a minute, It would be best to travel with somebody, so she nodded. "Sure, I need to take down Team Chaos anyway.. I have Pokémon Eggs, Shiny." Katie glanced about, then looking to Sparky and Akumu. "Well...I think we should either move onto the next City, or catch more Pokémon here, or we could follow the trail of that Lab Assistant" Katie told her some options. If they went to the next city, they could stock up, but here they could catch Pokémon to increase their team, and following the trail of the assistant might of been hard but if they did succeed, they would get closer to taking down Team Chaos.

She glanced around and smiled, her Pokémon Eggs she wondered, when would they evolve? Would it be a long time, or would it only be a matter of days, she pondered of the thought of having two new pokémon, then smiled again.

[Kairi]

"Yea! I have two eggs as well. A shiny Pachirisu and a Pichu. So pretty soon I'm going to have a cute little Pikachu just like this one," she said rubbing Sparky on the head and scratching him on the chin. "Hey let's take care of our eggs first. It'll make me feel better," Kairi took out both her eggs and started working on shinning them up making them look shiny,"There! Beautiful," she grinned. Then she thought about something though,"Are you getting hungry?" She asked Katie,"I sure am." She went about making lunch.

Katie too, had taken out a cream and dark brown patterened egg, and a navy one, yet the navy one seemed to be a bit more shiny than the brown one. "I have urm, a Shiny Gligar Egg, and an Eevee Egg." Katie explained, and nodded as she proposed lunch. She looked around and walked over to a few tree's, picking the apples that stuck to the branches, she then cut the apples up to place in dishes for both her, Kairi and their Pokémon. "So, once we've had lunch, should we set off to Petal Town? I really wanna evolve Akumu in case Team Chaos comes back. He needs to get just a little stronger." Katie muttered the last sentence quietly to herself, with Akumu lifting his head to smile at her.

Katie went over and pulled a small log over to sit on, with Akumu lying down on her knees, Katie stroking his fur. She did like this, with Akumu being so little and being able to pet him. But he could also become so strong. Sparky lied down ontop of her head, holding his tail over his eye, acting cute.

[Kairi]

Kairi took out her mini grill and grilled some food. She offered Katie some of the grilled food. She then made some Poffins for the Pokemon,"Here you go," she said offering some to Sparky and Akumu. She then gave some to her own Pokemon. Shiva had seemed like she had calmed down a lot since evolving. She no longer got excited over every little thing, then dismissed it very quicky. Kairi guessed it was because she was a Glaceon now. Kairi had heard that once a Pokemon evolves sometimes it's personally changes. With Shiva Kairi guessed it was true. She sit down next to Katie and ate. After they ate they'd have to make plans about how to take down Team Chaos.

Katie sat eating the food, looking down at Akumu, then to Sparky, then remembered something that her mom had told her. "Hey, There's the training gym just beyon the Lab I think, we could go there to evolve our Poochyena's." Katie explained, then carried on. "If we are going to take down Team Chaos, we need to get our Poochyena's to their top, which means Mightyena." She then looked down on Akumu, who sat up on her knee enthusiastically. "Wanna' evolve into a Mightyena?" Katie asked her Pokémon, who nodded quickly. "And if we make it a double battle, we're sure to win right?"
