The Meeting, and Battles

[Kairi]

"Hmm, why don't you evolve Sparky then. A Raichu really would help us out," Kairi grinned. She had already planned to have her Pichu that was going to hatch evolve all the way to Raichu. She wished Pachirisu could evolve as well. But oh well. Maybe Pachirisu could be of some help. Perhaps it could act as a spy, instead of being a battler. Kairi thought that while she ate.

[Crazed Lapras]

(-ghostly whisper- A subliminal voice encourages you to move onto the next town and Route 2.)

[Kairi]

(OOC: Awww! Can't we catch one more Pokemon first?)

[ Maybe an awesome Pokémon could spring out , ]
















[ ONTO THE NEXT CITY! ]

[Kairi]

(NOOOO! Not yet.)

"I'd say lets see if we can catch one more Pokemon on this Route. What do you say, Katie?" Kairi grinned. She wanted to add one more Pokemon to her team before continuing on. She got up and started looking around for a wild Pokemon to fight.

[Crazed Lapras]

A loud screech filled the air, the sound of two pokemon battling. Out of the grass raced two pokemon- a Ryhorn and an Aron. The two launched attacks at each other, oblivious to the humans presence as they tried to rip eachother apart.

Katie looked out into the distance to look at the Rhyhorn and the small Aron, she instantly caught on that they were fighting and ran over with Sparky on her shoulder, swaying around to avoid attacks, but then jumping in as the chance appeared to her, standing directly in front of the Rhyhorn.

"What's the matter?" Katie called out, placing her arms either side, with Sparky translating it for Katie.

[Kairi]

Kairi ran over with Poochi and Shiva, and asked the Aron,"What happened between you two?" Of course she knew she wouldn't be able to understand it, but maybe there was some way it could tell her what was wrong.

[Crazed Lapras]

The Aron growled at the ryhorn. ~This big nosed oaf almost stepped on me! And then he called me puny.~
The ryhorn also didn't seem to care for the two trainers standing between him and his enemy. ~Big nosed? You'll get what's comming to you pipsqueak. Get out of way humans.~

[Kairi]

"No! I won't move! I will not let you hurt this Aron!" Kairi screamed. She picked up the Aron. She called Poochi and as much as she hated too called Shiva back into her PokeBall, and with Aron in her arms started running,"Katie run!" Kairi called out to her, as she ran with Aron in her arms,"Don't worry little guy, I'll protect you no matter what."

Katie raised an eyebrow. "Why would I run from this big teddybear" She said, smiling as she turned around to look at the Rhyhorn. "Aron has been taken by the girl, There's no need to worry. But how about you join us in our Journey? You could be my Pokémon, and you will be needed shortly. We're going to take down Team Chaos, I don't know if that rings any bells to you, But we need your strong power to help defeat them." Katie explained, nodding as she talked.

She then looked back at Kairi and waved. "No need to worry"

[Kairi]

But Kairi was already gone. She wasn't watching where she was going and her and the Aron fell over a cliff. Kairi grabbed on tighty to the side of the cliff after she'd fallen halfway down,"Hang on Aron! We'll be ok. I won't let you fall," Kairi assured the Aron. A piece of rock fell from above cutting Kairi's hand. Her hand started bleeding. But no matter what she wouldn't let go of the Aron, even if it cost her, her life.

The Rhyhorn looked at Katie, honestly considering her offer. He shook his large body, then crouched down and swept a foreleg across the ground, kicking up dirt. <I'll come, human, because I know you wouldn't have a chance without me. I won't come without a fight, however.> He snorted threateningly, and kicked up more dirt with his hoof, giving the girl in front of him a glare.




Meanwhile, near the cliff that Kairi had fallen down, a large Swellow was picking berries from a delectable-looking bush. The large bird-pokemon snapped and pulled at the small bright orbs, gulping them down with energy. As she ate, however, a sound came to her ears.

"Hang on Aron! We'll be ok. I won't let you fall,"

<Curious! I heard a human!> The flying-type turned and walked toward the cliff slowly, expecting it to be just nothing. What she saw however was odd. A human was holding a pokemon, and hanging from the cliff's side.
<Oh, dear.> The Swellow sighed, being a great prude. <Whatever do these humans get themselves into?>

The pokemon started to turn on her heel and go back to eating berries, but she changed her mind. <I guess I have to help this human. Besides, what a great story it will make to tell the girls later!> Besides being a prude, this Swellow was also a horrible gossip, she clicked her tongue disapprovingly, but flapped her large wings and took the the air anyway. She soared down to where Kairi and the Aron were, and clicked her tongue again. <Pokemon, why ever are you in the arms of this bumbling human? Obviously, she doesn't have a lick of sense! Hanging on a cliff like this . . > Another condescending tongue click.

The Aron in Kairi's arms stared at the Swellow as it came down, a look of disbelief on his small face. He ignored her rude words about Kairi, and got straight to the point. <A-are you going to save us?>

The Swellow laughed haughtily. <Well, no, dear, of course not. I just came to laugh a bit before you fell to your doom!> She chuckled more, flapping her wings leisurely as she spoke.

The Aron believed her, but only had a split second to before the bird pokemon broke in. <No, no, no! Come to me, I'll take you and this bumbling fool human back up to safe land. I was just kidding, you see.>
The small steel pokemon gave a sigh of relief, moving to climb onto the Swellow's back.

[Kairi]

"Are you here to help us Swellow?" Kairi asked the bird Pokemon,"That's very nice of you," she grinned at it. Even though her hand was broken and bleeding very badly Kairi had still managed to grin,"Let me guess you want to know how this happened right? Well, you see a Rhyhorn had attacked this poor Aron here, and I was trying to save it. But see none of the Pokemon I'm carrying would of been a match for a Rhyhorn so I picked up Aron and ran. And I guess we took a wrong turn, and fell down this cliff," Kairi explainned as she grabbed onto the Swellow, hoping for dear god that it wouldn't just save the Aron and let her fall to her death. Kairi had to hold on with one hand as the other one was broken very badly. (Since I saved the Aron can it decide to come with me, and get into the PokeBall of it's own free will.)

The Swellow really didn't want to hear about Kairi's situation, and tuned her out accordingly.
"Blah blah, blah blah blah Aron, blah blah!"
Still too much noise, the pokemon tuned Kairi out even more, focusing on the sound of her own wings flapping. When both the Aron and Kairi were firmly attached, the Swellow gave two powerful flaps of her wings, and was up to the top of the cliff in no time. She landed gracefully, and let the two get off.

< Dearie, please don't get stuck in another horrible situation with this ditzy human, I worry for your poor life!> The bird pokemon spoke to Aron, who ignored her, and turned to Kairi. He looked at her pointedly, not bothering with trying to speak. The pokemon wanted to join Kairi on her journey, as thanks for saving him.
