The Meeting, and Battles

[Kairi]

Kairi thanked the Swellow for saving them. She noticed the Aron. She could tell that he wanted to come with her,"You want to come with me right?" She asked him. Kairi grinned as she took out a PokeBall and tapped it on the Aron's head. She watched the Aron go inside the PokeBall with a flash of light.

Katie nodded at the Rhyhorn, and took out a Pokéball, tossing it up into the air. "Let's go Akumu!" Katie called out, sending what she thought would be a Poochyena, but instead, a Mightyena stood in his place. Katie squeeled with joy, the Training Gym had payed off. Now it was time for his first battle in his evolved form. "Akumu, Tackle Attack!".

Akumu pounced off the ground, sprinting forwards to go at the Rhyhorn. "Quickly jump!" Katie shouted by suprise, with Akumu leaping up over the Rhyhorn, then skidding around, running at him from behind, to try and take the Rhyhorn by suprise.

The Rhyhorn snorted incredulously as Katie released the Mightyena, sweeping his front leg across the ground one more time. As the canine pokemon approached him with a tackle, he simply hunkered down, knowing that a tackle attack would barely move him. He was mildly surprised, however as the pokemon jumped over him and attacked from behind, and even more surprised when said tackle nearly sent him rolling over onto his back. This pokemon is strong!
The Rhyhorn gave another snort, and a roar of sorts as he charged the Mightyena and went to use a Stomp attack on the pokemon.

[Kairi]

Kairi put Aron's PokeBall away. She'd think of a good nickname for him later. Kairi held her sore broken hand as she relized that Katie hadn't followed her. Quickly she ran back to where Katie was at not even thinking about the pain in her hand. She saw once she got there that Katie had everything under control. Her Poochyena had evolved and was fighting the Rhyhorn. Kairi walked up beside Katie and watched the fight holding her beoken and bleeding hand moaning painfully. Shiva popped out of her PokeBall on her own. She noticed that her master was hurt. Shiva tauged at Katie's shirt and pointed at Kairi's hand with her ear,"Glace."

Akumu was hit by the Stompand sent onto the ground, but then Katie shouted out a command. "Akumu, Howl and Tackle!". Akumu got up, howling up to the skies to increase his attack, then running towards the Rhyhorn again, fully pumped.

Katie then looked down to Shiva, then noticing Kairi's hand wound. "Oh no, Are you okay? I just need to get this battle done with the Rhyhorn, then we can rush to Petal Town...and immediatly I think, urm..bandages" Katie was rooting through her bag now, looking through a side compartment on it, taking out a bandage, handing it up to Kairi.

Turning her head back to her own battle, Katie watched Akumu go against the Rhyhorn

Shiva guessed that Katie didn't know Kairi's hand was broken. The small Pokemon helped it's master get the long bandage wrapped around her hand,"Thanks Shiva," Kairi told her,"Hey guess what, Aron decided to join me. I got him in his PokeBall right now."

The Rhyhorn heard the Mightyena's Howl and knew he wasn't going to be winning the battle. Even so, the rock pokemon dug its heels into the dirt firmly, and went to counter the Mightyena's tackle with a Fury Attack. He didn't get a chance however, because as soon as the tackle hit, the pokemon fainted.

Yes, this was it, Katie withdrew an empty Pokéball and threw it over to the Rhyhorn, tapping it's head to send it inside. The Pokéball dropping to the ground. "We got this in the bag" Katie said, smiling. If she captured this Rhyhorn, it would be great, because she knew they evolved into Rhydon's, strong Pokémon.

The pokeball rocked steadily. Back, forth, and back again before it stopped moving. The button on the ball seemed to flash, signifying that the pokemon was, indeed, caught.

Katie rushed over to the Pokéball on the ground, with Akumu walking proudly over. "Yes, I caught the Rhyhorn!" Katie smiled and hugged Akumu, who gave out a noise of laughter. "Miight, Mightyena!"

Katie then looked to Kairi's hand wound, finding it not funny at all. "Come on, We'll get you to a Pokémon Center. She then looked around, it was going to be quite a while to get out of here. Katie then walked over, Sparky on her shoulder. "Kairi, Did Poochi evolve?" Katie asked her. "If she did, It'd be best if you sent her out, your going to ride Poochi to Petal Town. I'll follow behind, you'll be there quicker." Katie continued, and nodded at the end.

[Kairi]

(OOC: Not a good idea Bec. Mighty is still too small to ride.)

"That's ok. I think I'll be ok. Besides were not that far off from Petal Town," Kairi said with a grin,"Can Sparky ride on my shoulder the rest of the way there?" She asked. Kairi grinned at the small Pikachu. She couldn't wait until her unhatched Pichu evolved into a Pikachu itself.

Katie then dropped back into Reality, theoretically speaking that was, guess they'd have to do it the old fashioned way. Katie pointed towards a pathway which led out of Route One, going onto Petal Town. Katie began to run, Sparky jumping off her shoulders to run beside her. "Let's go already!" Katie shouted, returning Akumu to his Pokéball.

"I can't wait, I can buy all sorts of things. A moon stone for my soon to be hatched Eevee" Katie murmered to herself, her Egg would hatch soon, it was going to happen, she had a feeling. When her Eggs had hatched, what would she name them? Would she buy TM's for them? She had a Gligar and an Eevee, They would be awesome Pokémon and her team would rock.

"Then I can buy a few Tm's" Katie continued, yes buying the necessary Technical Machines was vital, her Pokémon might want to have certain moves. She then continued to run forwards, to exit Route One, but she stopped near the end of the Route to wait for Kairi.

[Kairi]

But Kairi was there as well. Dispite her hand she had been running right along side Katie. Shiva was right behind her. Shiva had picked up Sparky and was letting him ride on her back. Kairi then took out her map,"Yup were almost there. Hey! I have an idea. After I have my hand looked at, wanna help me train my Pokemon? We could have a battle," Kairi suggested. She wondered if they were close to Petal Town now. She looked off in the distense from the high hill they were standing on to see if she could see Petal Town from here.

Petal Town was near- so near, in fact, that it was easily visible from where Katie and Kairi were standing. The town wasn't much to see from where they were, but it held a very extensive library, with most all of the world's known information about pokemon. Scholars and the like traveled to the town constantly to have a little sip at their seemingly endless fountain of pokemon knowledge.
